Was planning to return it when I saw it, but glad I didn't. Works great to organize my "junk" closet--I put them right on the shelves, and they make more "shelves." Seems sturdy. Because of my space situation, I created one block-of-four, and then a separate block-of-two. I didn't have enough connectors for this, so the block-of-two is missing a connectors on top, but it still works. (I didn't anticipate that, but it's manageable.) When fully connected, it's even strong enough to lay light-weight items on top. I found it easy and even a bit fun to put together...didn't even need to use the included hammer, I just used body weight until I heard the "click." Not sure why others have problems putting it together.

I must admit I was very reluctant to buy a $15 shelf. I thought it would be flimsy and useless. It is not. In fact, it is a lot sturdier than the particle board shelf I had before. It was a lot of work to put it together, mainly because I wanted to get it right. I snapped and hammered all connectors to make sure that the shelves fit all the way in. Without it, the shelf unit will wobble, but if you take your time and check each connector, you will be very happy with the results. I can see why some people left bad reviews (I was almost determined not to buy it because of that). Basically, people snap the connectors into place, but just snapping them will only go half way. You really need to use the little hammer that came with the package. Thinking of that, I just can't remember ever buying a piece of furniture that came with a hammer. Until now. Also, I was reluctant about the vinyl shelves, thinking that they would sink in as soon as I put products on them. They don't. One of my shelves has 6 full size perfumes on it, and it is perfectly flat and straight. Bottom line: great product, looks good too, extremely budget friendly, but you need to apply yourself to putting it together the right way. Yes, it takes time, but hey, for $15 you won't be able to find a good little shelf already installed.

The smart, affordable solution to clutter and heavy textbooks

I was looking for a small bookcase that might make a nice addition to my room and was extremely disheartened to see I would need to make an investment in the 80-100 for something small with questionable reviews. My mountain of nursing school textbooks sat in the corner of my room collecting dust while I searched for something else. Instead I checked on Amazon to see if they could help find me something more in my budget. And for around 25 dollars, these storage cubes are a steal. I absolutely questioned the load bearing capacity of what I naively mistook as flimsy panels that I so haphazardly clinked together. Slowly, I began loading my textbooks. I had an extra panel too so if one broke, I could easily replace it. And I was astonished at the fact that I filled the entire compartment with my dense textbooks. I shoved in a copy of Gray's Anatomy, a 2000 page medical / surgical textbook, an NCLEX review book, a 1200 page nursing fundamentals book, and several study guides with no problem at all. My storage cubes are the first things you see when you enter my room and they look beautiful. I've since organized all of the extra bits and pieces from around my room and have placed them inside my cubes. It feels great getting the extra space back. If you're skeptical of buying these, I don't blame you. I absolutely was. But I was blown away by the quality. My only complaint is that I didn't get another set. I have so many other things that I could store away in my cubes!

LOVE these. 6/5 stars. I purchased two sets and assembled them together. Easy enough to put together and only swore a couple of times while doing so! Didn't need screws or wood glue like I had to use with the wooden kind. Only problem I ran into was making sure the 'shelves' were all the way locked into place. So great!

Great quality for the price

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of both the assembly tools and the pieces of the unit. Putting it together was fairly easy and the unit is light weight which is perfect for my purposes since I put it on a shelf that is above my head. I have not put anything inside the cubes yet as long as I don't over film them I think the unit will hold up nicely. Another review complained that it was hard to get the pieces together to form a square. I didn't have any difficulty with this. It just requires a little pressure to pop the sides into the clips and a hit from the hammer that comes with product.

They go SO well with color changing lights

These are amazing. I bought two sets and use them as a dresser. I don't have to decide on what to wear, I just grab a finished outfit and hit the shower. They go SO well with color changing lights it's unbelievable. Or rather it is believable, but still, you get the point. These are durable, easy to assemble, highly customizable, and perfect for a wide variety of storage options. Like laundry.

Great for Simple Storage

Perfect. Goes together in minutes and you can build in a variety of shapes. I'm only using four cubes right now, but I like knowing I can always expand. The plastic vinyl covering stuff is pulled taut, so it's very sturdy. It holds piles of cloths or shoes or whatever.

Great product, I use it as a bookshelf. It wasn't hard to put it together, my 6 year old and I put it together just like playing with legos. I will be buying another one bc I just opened another box of books that needs to be stored. Wonderful product!

Perfect for extra closet shelves!

I put these in my closet to make extra shelves for sweaters/sweatshirts. They were easy to assemble and worked great at adding additional space to my closet. I like that my clothes don’t topple over into the pile next to them anymore. They were easy to put together and if I move they will be easy to take apart put in a small box and move. Very happy with this purchase.
