Quick delivery . He's just as described even cuter in person . I never got into the beanie baby's or a fade like that but I fear I'm going to get hooked on tease little guy's I'm very pleased ........ Looking forward to seeing the 1 that's on it's way

Got this for my Wife as a Christmas gift. I think they'll be out all year round as she loves him. He's got some weight to him, like the body is more bean bag rather than just fluff so he sits up straight without falling over. The hat has a wire in it so you can adjust the way it points.

This little Tomte is so cute, when I first opened the box, and he was folded up inside, I thought it was smaller than I expected, but once I turned up his hat and his arms sprang out, he was about the size I expected. His nose is a little crooked, which makes it look like he is slightly tilting/turning his head under his hat. It gives him a lot of expression. I can see a little spot by the nose where the beard seam is showing and he has a small blob of hot glue on his nose, but that's handcrafting for you. His beard is super scraggly gray-and-white just as shown. I'm perfectly happy with him. His body has some weighted beads to keep him upright, but it's not heavy enough or big enough to use as a doorstop as someone may have been asking. He's more like a paperweight size.

Endearing Little Guy!

I ordered the gray-hat gnome. The beard and hair of mine is lighter than the gnome pictured--white with some gray or black strands. It's much more cheerful looking than I expected. The quality is high, and the gnome is weighted perfectly to sit still. He doesn't look like he needs a few nickels in his cup. He's adorable! He's a softy.

Very good quality but not exactly as pictured ~ Love him !

I ordered several different gnomes and this one arrived first. He came packed in a little box which had a picture of a different gnome on it. That's ok. But this little fellow is darker than he looks in the picture. Particularly his BEARD is DARK grey and is much SHORTER than the one in the picture. ... Just be aware that what you order may not look like the one pictured. I would have given it 3 stars, but I think he will grow on me as time passes. One month later ~ I added a star to make this a 5 star review. Though my comments about his beard hold true, he is just perfect right beside my computer. I have found that his little outstretched arms can mean anything from "Welcome!" to "What in the world were you thinking???"

I squealed when I opened the box! He is all things adorable without being juvenile and “kitschy”. He is the perfect blend of Scandinavian whimsy, tradition + design. I don’t view him as a stuffed animal, character or toy, yet I can see where children would be mesmerized by his charm, befriend, play and snuggle with him! I’m impressed and bubbling with joy at the detail, combined texture and nostalgia. I love the Scandinavian inspired design + story - I will be purchasing more!

Love this Handmade Tomte!

Absolutely love my Tomte - even cuter and more personality in person! I love the quality of the materials, how he can sit by himself anywhere and he really fits in well with my other Christmas decorations. The size is perfect (not too large and not too small), I ordered another version to ship to my mom and I'm sure she will love it as well. Great gift idea and I will definitely be ordering more for myself and gifts in the near future.

I love this little guy !! he is exactly as described. we have already bonded. his hat is beautiful. his feet are clean. he brings me so much joy. he's gorgeous and loyal. he looks after me. what more can a girl ask for?

Tomte/Gnomes: They’re not just for Christmas any mire

I came across the Itomte tomte/gnomes just before the holidays. I don’t know how I missed them. My father was a first generation American from Sweden. My mother was Swedish. Once I received my first tomte, I was hooked. You can see I bought a lot more (and my red, more Christmasy gnomes are in storage). These creatures are whimsical, charming, and fun. The gnomes made by Itomte are extremely well constructed and made of the highest quality materials. Do not be deceived. There are other gnomes for sale on Amazon (some which are obvious rip-offs of the Itomte ones), some of which may be a bit cheaper. But having unfortunately purchased one of the cheaper variety, there is no comparison in terms of quality. The non- Itomte one I bought used much cheaper materials, and the construction was shoddy. I cannot say enough good things about this product. Even the boxes that the tomte come in are charming.
