I'm really happy with this narrow, 4-step ladder, with its non-skid steps and safety handrail. It is sturdy and perfect for my needs, easy to move, open, close, and store on an over-the-door hook on a closet door.

Narrow and sturdy step ladder

I bought this ladder as a way of making it easier to climb up onto a loft bed that I got for a relative. While all of the other ladders we tried were either too short (only 3 steps) or too big (big and bulky, taking up too much space), this one is perfect for our needs. It was narrower than I thought it would be and at first, I was wondering if it would be sturdy enough to stand up to daily use for a 200+ pound person (the person who would be using this every day). However, I was pleasantly surprised. The ladder is pretty stable (especially since I strapped it to the bed frame), doesn't creak or seem to be under any strain, fits perfectly into a small space, and is just tall enough to allow the user to get up to the bed without any issues. I'd definitely recommend this one to others who want to use it for a similar purpose. If you're planning to use it as a standard stepladder, while it would easily hold the weight of a larger person, it's narrow frame might make it a little less stable for balancing on the top steps. If you're on the larger side, I'd suggest either bracing it against something just to be extra safe or staying on the lower steps.

I love it!

I am a male 5'10" and I am 194 lbs. This ladder supports me perfectly even when used on carpet or area rugs. I could not quite reach our smoke detectors and ceiling fans in our upstairs rooms (vaulted) with a similar 3 step ladder. This works great. It is a tad heavy but not that bad. I keep it upstairs in the closet and the 3 stepper is now kept downstairs where our ceilings are lower. I no longer have to drag my 7' aluminum ladder up 2 flights of stairs. I have used this about a dozen times since I bought it last month.

Great little ladder.

Very nice step stool/ladder for access to higher shelves. You can reach anywhere except cathedral ceilings or stairwells. Well made and nice looking. Just what I wanted for reaching the back of closet shelving and changing ceiling light bulbs. Steve

Solid addition to my "essentials" in a NYC apartment

I live in a small apartment in New York City, and am committed to living a simple life -- with as few possessions as possible. It's possible to get the super to lend me a ladder, when needed, but there can be a waiting list, and with eight foot ceilings, changing light bulbs or turning off the fire alarm when roasting vegetables can be a challenge. This excellent ladder is "essential" for my apartment living -- sturdy, solid, a bit heavy giving me a sense of great security, wide steps, and tall enough to never be tempted to stand on the top step. Good Buy. Solid. Safety latch. Easy to unfold/fold!

We just received the ladder. It has held 250lbs so far with no issues. The safety lock dangles a bit and it's not hard to move it to close it. My daughter is 5' 3 1/2" and when she's on the 3rd of 4 steps she can reach our 8ft ceilings easily. Step 4 she is ducking her head! It'll help change filters and get into our attic. I wear size 8 shoes, and see image for step sizing. The treads grip fine. We feel safe on it. Nice crossbar feature too. Stores very thin compared to my old 3-step one from another company.

Sturdy without being too heavy

Sturdy without being too heavy. I have a bad back and I needed something stable to use to climb up to reach high shelves and to change light bulbs that are ceiling mounted. Since I am overweight, I wanted something sturdy, but I needed something light enough to carry from room to room. I also needed a reasonable step height. This fits the bill perfectly. It is heavy enough to be sturdy and light enough to carry. The bar at the top is great for balancing as you climb up and down. Delivered right on time and in perfect condition. I wish all purchases went this well.

Perfect for RV

I totally don't understand the negative reviews. I'm 200#. On top step, wiggling around -- nothing. Very stable. Only 1.5 inches thick when folded. Perfect for putting in the RV, and tall enough I can attach things to the awning. EXACTLY what I was looking for and 1/2 the price of other units that were advertised. So far, quite please.

Everything you need in a step-ladder!

We LOVE this step ladder. It's perfect for almost all our climbing needs. My husband was able to take it into the attic to change some light bulbs and because it folds compactly, and isn't too heavy, the job was a snap. He loved the rungs which are wide and comfortable for his boots. I am going to use the ladder for Christmas decorations. I'm normally scared to get on ladders, so I am really excited about having this to use. I'll feel secure enough to climb up and decorate the top of our 9' tree this year. My husband is thrilled. 😀 Basically, it's light weight, secure and easy to store. Great purchase. Added 12/21/18: I had to do this addendum since I was personally able to use the ladder for my Christmas decorating. What I want to say is: FANTASTIC! For the first time ever, all the high places my husband was forced to decorate, were able to be decorated by me. It is so easy to use. The rungs are very comfortable (I even jumped on it barefoot once). It meant so much to me to be able to decorate my tree. At 64, I had no business buying a 9' Christmas tree, but I didn't think about how much harder it would be to decorate. This ladder made everything so much easier. Every house should have one!

Couldn't be more pleased with this purchase.

this is a very high-quality, substantial ladder. a little heavier than i anticipated, but i am 71, 5ft tall, and i can still lift it without issue; it is very stable and feels extraordinarily safe. even when i don't need the height of all 4 steps, i will use this ladder instead of my others step ladders just because of the safety factor. Couldn't be more pleased with this purchase.
