Love this pan. I never thought I could use cast iron pans again. I can hold this pan with one hand instead of 2. Great pan for someone with Arthritis.

I love cooking with cast iron, but at my age it is too heavy to be comfortable to use. I am glad that you are making a lighter weight so I can continue using cast iron cookware.

Lightweight and non-stick if taken proper care. However, I wish I bought a slightly bigger one. This is good size for one person.

I have wanted an iron skillet for quite some time, but they were all too heavy. As I cannot pick up anything heavy, this IKO skillet is perfect for me; it cooks evenly like cast iron. I'm very satisfied with this purchase.

Not a lightwieght as I had hoped but lighter than the norm. Also not seasoned and having a harder time than I would expect getting it to take a seasoning.

The ideal skillet, combining the heavy duty and non-stick qualities of traditional cast iron with a thinner, lighter frame. Like all cast iron, it must be seasoned, and you have to put a light coat of oil on it after washing, but the handle, being hollow, doesn't transmit heat the way a solid cast iron handle would. It still gets plenty warm, but not to the point of scorching your hand. It is still a bit heavy and some may find it awkward to lift with one hand, or to balance, since it doesn't have a helping handle on the opposite side, but for me it's perfect. I went through regular non-stick pans, which wear out after a couple of years, and then the new copper-clad ceramic ones, which are quite nice, but if you burn something even the least little bit, they are a pain to clean, and I worried about the lining being damaged. With cast-iron you can scrub with anything and not worry. It is thus, for me, the perfect skillet.

Love it! Great size for cooking for 1-2 people, and so much lighter than my otherwise-fantasic Lodge skillet. Easy to clean and keep seasoned. We're planning take it camping, if it does well I'll update the review and get a bigger one.

This pan is awesome! It looks and cooks great. I really like the stainless steel handle. The pre-seasoning isn't very good though. I scrubbed mine with a green scotch bright pad in hot soap water until the water wasn't black anymore, then seasoned it with a very thin coat of canola oil in a 450 degree oven. The first thing I cooked was fried potatoes and scrambled eggs. I had virtually no sticking.

Great, light-weight pan that cooks well. My arm has been hurting with computer elbow and this pan is replacing my stainless steel ones that are too heavy to use. I've used it twice since I purchased it, and it really is much lighter (3.8 pounds versus 6.5 for the stainless steel 12") and I'm much happier cooking with it.

This is an excellent pan. We use one induction burner for the most part to do all our cooking. This works perfectly on it. It heats in no time and cleans up easy. I have used it with gas, though I can see how the hollow handle could be a burn hazard if not careflul. It is not with induction or electric. The initial coat is not a good seasoning.. The finish is a little rough but when you get a good seasoning it becomes like a good flat bottomed wok that you can cook solids and liquids in. Cleans up just like any other cast iron but is a lot lighter and a great camping pan for boiling or cooking.
