Hopefully, we'll never have to find out how good this is, but we are immensely grateful we had two extinguishers 6 months ago when our electric water heater started a fire in our utility room. We had full on blazing! The second extinguisher was just starting to run out when the fire department arrived. If it wasn't for having two and my hero of a husband, we would have lost everything. We now have four extinguishers. Kitchen, utility room, living room hidden in basket near the fire place and one in the back of the house. Since writing this review I realize we don't have one in the garage. Got one more to order. Fire was contained in the utility room, but smoke, soot and ashes affected the whole house. Contractors will hopefully have everything done in a week or so.

I mean I hope it works when I need it? If it doesn't and I somehow don't survive the fire, I'll be sure to update the review.

I feel safe having this professional fire extinguisher in my car for when I go car camping. Almost bought the cheaper alternative spray can extinguishers, until I read the Consumer Reports warnings about that category. CR recommends sticking with pro dry powder extinguishers like this one.

I ordered two of this item but one of them was discharged when I opened the box. The other is fine. EDIT: Received replacement at no cost or trouble to me. Stuff happens and they made it right!

I purchased this to mount in the far side of the kitchen (away from the stove) incase of emergencies . What I liked is the medium size , all metal unit with metal handle and it including a plastic mounting bracket . ~ I was abit worried about it coming fully charged or damaged in shipping (mentioned in some reviews) , but the unit came in perfect condition and nicely fully charged (as it should) . ~ The only added thing I did before mounting (for my own piece of mind) was go out and purchase some 10mm washers (needed 3) to fit in the bracket mounting holes to better fit my anchor screws , and it came out perfect! ~ So far very happy with my purchase (just hope I never have to use or find out how well the extinguisher works)

I purchased this purely on the recommendation of other reviewers here, paying particular attention to the few who have had to actually use it. This is stationed near my kitchen to fight any small blaze that might be caused by grease or electrical fires. I plan to purchase an Amerex 5-lb. dry chemical extinguisher for potentially larger fires that might be caused by larger appliances (I still own a 23-year-old RCA tube-type TV). No matter how small your home is, you need to have a means of fighting a small fire.

Every home should have a fire extinguisher. This one is in my daughter's kitchen. She has a gas stove. It makes me feel safer knowing she has it. It's nice that it's rechargeable in the event that she has to actually use it.

It works. What do you say about a fire extinguisher? My oven caught on fire and flames were shooting out of it. This little guy saved the day, making a terrible mess (but that is how it works). Fire went out fast, and it was very easy to use.

Just installed this on my RV. I know, it's not the neatest most attractive install out there, but this purchase gives me peace of mind that I have a brand new, working fire extinguisher. B/C of all the gadgets I buy for my RV, this may be the one that saves the RV, or ME! For less than twenty bucks, can you really afford to NOT buy one? How old is the one you have?Where is the one you have?Do you have one? Seriously I know I sound like your Mother but please make sure you have a working Fire Extinguisher or TWO on your RV and one in your car. If for nothing else than that cool opportunity to come to someone else's aid when they are in need of help.

Super easy to mount. Hopefully will never need to use it but it's something that every home needs. Love the mount that came with it, not bulky at all but it's highly effective and enabled me to mount the extinguisher in a tight space.
