inside is what counts

it will keep cold, for sure. best part is the solid metal lid, unlike other brands that have a plastic one, because the durable factor goes way up. mine has taken a beating and its still in one piece, plus some character. CONS : the pouch is weak and didn't last very long. the black paint gets scratched very easily and finally I just washed it off with an sos pad.

Sexy bottle, good quality stainless steel. My water tastes great compared to plastic container, so I'm drinking a lot more water now. It is true that the screw on cap has a small ridge, low profile and that , I wonder if at one point in the future will it slip and fail to lock. But nothing is perfect, and really I close it gently and it was shipped with 2 extra gaskets, It won't leak even if you close it lightly. But, compared to plastic lids, I prefer this one. Everybody compliments me o. It, and say that it must have cost me $150. As an electrician, I don't work in an office, but this bottle is so nice, I won't trow it around like an iglooo jug though, so if you are an animal, nothing will last, but me, I'm carefull with it.

Best $30 ever spent!

We were on a 10 day motorcycle camping trip through southern Oregon and Utah then back up through Nevada and California. One of our friends had one of these growlers and when we all ran out of cold water he was the only one who had any left. I immediately ordered mine and had it shipped to a friend in southern Utah where I picked it up. This is by far one of the best $30 purchases I have ever made. Water and Ice stays cold for days. We were in 120+ degree heat near Las Vegas and my Bottle Bud kept my ice and water cold and fresh.

Must have for anyone spending time Outdoors

I was not compensated in any way for the purchase or review of this product. My husband purchased this to carry along with him on his long work days in his truck. The summer Heat usually wipes out any amount of ice in any drinks that he has within an hour. He put this to the test and Ice was able to hold for 24 hours even in a truck in the Oklahoma summer Heat. He has told everyone at his job about this bottle because he was so impressed! I would highly recommend this to anyone in the service industry or who has to be outdoors for any long amount of time! This will hold heat as well ! makes for a very thoughtful gift!

Careful of the pressure!

This is an excellent bottle. i was amazed how long ice lasted in this bottle. I did fill it mostly with ice before adding the water and I still had quite a bit of ice after 3 days. I did use it for a carbonated soda from a fountain and it kept the soda fizzy overnight which was surprising. Be very careful when opening this bottle if you have something carbonated in it. The cap shot off the bottle at an alarming amount of pressure. It hit the ceiling and made a loud "boom" sound when it opened. I realize that it was my fault for putting soda in it. I just want to give other people a heads up so you don't do the same thing or at least lean way back when you open it!

Beautiful Growler

A work of art!! What a beautiful growler.. sounds kinda funny, don't it? But its true. If you need a beer growler for your favorite pub or micro brew, why not look good at the same time. I was in the market for a double walled growler. First I looked at Hydroflask, but didn't want to pay the Hydroflask price. I then started looking at the cheaper alternatives and even though many of them are sold as growlers for beer, they had a disclaimer that their lids were not made to withstand the pressures from carbonated beverages. This one did not have that disclaimer and the price was right so I gave it a chance. When it arrived I was impressed with the build of the growler and case, however the lid seemed like the weak point so I instantly became suspicious and decided to run a handful of tests. Test 1: The Leak Test Test one was simple, I filled it with water, tightened the lid, and let it hang upside down for hours. The result: No leaks! Test 2: The Carbonation Test I bought this thing for one thing, keep my beer cold. So if it doesn't work with beer what is the point? To test this growler out I filled it with Yuengling beer (that way if I lost it I would survive), brought it outside in the hot sun and gently shook it up (a little more aggressively than if I were carrying it around all day). I left it outside for the work day (going out during lunch to shake it again) and when I came to retrieve it I was pleased to see it was still sealed. Better yet the beer was still cold! Test 3: The Back of My Car Test What good is a growler if I can't leave it in my car? Again I filled it with Yuengling, put it in a trash bag for my car's safety, and put it lose in the back. I then proceeded to drive with it back there for about 7 hours, jostling and sloshing about. The growler once again held and beer was cold. So if you are in the market for a double walled growler I would recommend this one.

Good Value

No Plastic for me! I use this nearly every day for water to stay hydrated. The lid screw threads are kind of wonky and take a bit of fiddling to get on correctly, but if one is a patient sort, it's an excellent deal. The strap carrier is a really cheap material and will tear and break after a short while of carrying a full container of the liquid of your choice. I purchased a more robustly constructed insulated/padded carrier from another vendor that works perfectly.

Keeps beer at the right temperature long enough to enjoy.

Used it with the Scottish Highland Games in FL. Kept the stout at the proper temperature even though.. we are in FL. It held the entire pitcher you can buy at one go, the handle made it extra useful to carry around keeping your hands free.
