Did the trick
I ordered the AGM734-10000S, 1000Base-T Copper SFP Transceiver. Connected right up to my 10G SFP+ on my server and gave me a normal 1G ethernet which was able to be plugged directly into my 1Gbps public network switch... leaving the other 10G connection for my private network on a 10Gbps switch. I also tested the transceiver connected to one of my switches, a Netgear Prosafe GS724T. Recognized immediately. I immediately pushed a few hundred GB of data over it, as expected my 1G network connection remained saturated during the entire transfer.

It just worked.
I purchased two of these to connect a Mikrotik RB2011 router to a Mikrotik CRS125 router/switch in switch mode. Both Mikrotik devices had no issue with these SFP modules, and started talking via them with no configuration or input from me. It's rare to find a commercial-type IT product that simply works when you plug it in, but this one does exactly that.

A testpen works great. 4
Bought 4 of these for Unifi switches (US-24 and US-24-250W). All 4 worked without a hitch. 2 of them served to trunk between the switch, 1 as a uplink to the router and 1 as dedicated link to a home server. A few things I want to point out 1. They do work as an extra network port, though they won't be auto-negotiating. 2. NONE of them heat up. 3. Getting them out does need a bit of finesse. A testpen works great. 4. I did a simple throughput test from the server through switch 1, switch 2, Google wifi and out through fibre broadband (subscribed 1gbps link) and hit close to 800mbps down and 900mbps up. Guess they are switching alright. Best bang for buck network gear I have bought.

Works for Ubiquiti Equipment!
Worked great with my Ubiquiti equipment, I'm using two pairs to connect a Unifi Switch 48 to two Unifi Switch 8-150W without any issues. They're short runs (15M and 25M). I'm using fiber to electrically isolate the two 8 port switches from the rest of my equipment as they're both is areas that have received damage from nearby lighting strikes in the past. I've used a few other 10GTek SFP modules and they work great as well.

It just works
I recently purchased a Ubiquiti 8 port 150 watt PoE switch https://www.amazon.com/Ubiquiti-Networks-Managed-Gigabit-US-8-150W/dp/B01DKXT4CI I wanted an extra port for the uplink port to the router so I could reserve the PoE ports for powering WAPs. I received the GBIC from Amazon, took it out of the box, plugged it into my Ubiquiti switch and it showed up as another port in the controller software. I plugged it into my router and packets flowed. It just worked. That's it. If you have a Ubiquiti switch and you need an extra gigabit ethernet port or two this is the way to go. For 40 bucks you can buy two of these and turn an eight port Ubiquiti switch into a 10 port switch, which is a bargain compared to purchasing a 16 port switch to get 10 ports.

Great Customer Service
Update 11/28/2018 Replacement arrived fast and worked right out the box. Got give them a 5-Star for excellent customer service and for standing behind their product. Company even refunded return shipping cost for their defective module. This is what all company should do and by far hardly none of them do this. This kind of service will keep me as a loyal customer to 10Gtek. ********************************************************* Update 11/20/2018: Company reached out to me for warranty support. Extremely happy with this process of them reaching out to their customers and assistance with warranty process. Definitely surprised on how fast and customer oriented they are. Working with them on a return and will upgrade this back to a 5-Star in the meantime. Will update regarding new module when it arrives. ************************************************* Original Review: Came in and they worked like a charm. Fast forward 2 months later and one already stopped working. I’ll have to check about warranty on these things as anything connected to the one module isn’t communicating properly.

10Gtek AGM734 clone transceivers work great with Netgear GS724Tv4
Bought two 10Gtek AGM734-compatible transceivers for the SFP ports on my Netgear GS724Tv4 switches and they work great! There's no official information about Netgear's own AGM734 being compatible with the GS724Tv4 (and a variety of other Netgear switches), except for a post on Netgear's forum (if that can be considered "official"), so I was a little hesitant buying an AGM734 clone. If it didn't work, then was it 10Gtek's fault for not being a flawed AGM734 clone or my fault for trusting that the AGM734 (clone or not) is compatible with the GS724Tv4. The price for a Netgear AGM734 is ridiculous for use, little alone just testing, but the price for a 10Gtek is worthwhile. I bought one and it worked! Bought a second one (as GS724Tv4's have two dedicated SFPs) and it also worked! 5 hours straight of full-duplex ~1 Gbps TCP traffic (2 Gbps total, according to GS724Tv4's SNMP reporting and the traffic generator) through both transceivers installed in a single GS724Tv4 and no problems. After this experience I know: 1. AGM734 transceivers are compatible with GS724Tv4 and 2. 10Gtek transceivers are functional clones.

Great product line. While this model wasn't compatible for me, customer service had a solution!
Product build quality is top notch, but unfortunately this SFP Transceiver is NOT COMPATIBLE with HP Procurve 2824 (J4903A). edit 3/26/19: 10Gtek reached out directly to suggest the correct part for my switch (10Gtek for HP J4858C) which works perfectly. 100% pleased with the customer service, so adding two stars. If you're uncertain if a 10Gtek transceiver works with your switch just shoot them a message via Amazon - they'll respond quick. Very pleased.

Works in Unifi Switch 8 POE-150W
Installed in a Unifi Switch 8 POE-150W (Board Revision 12) that I have had for a few years. I hot installed both and it took a few min. before the switch recognized them. The Unifi controller SW kept showing green (connected) then would cycle to black (disconnected) for a few min, but then went solid green. I connected one SFP port to my USG and the other SFP port to a Unifi Switch 8 POE-60W (Board Revision 6), thus freeing up two POE ports on the 150W switch. All is working fine for me since installed. Great product for my needs.

Works Perfectly With My 8 Port Unifi Switch
I bought two for my Unifi 8 Port PoE Switch that way I could use the two SFP ports for an up-link and down-link instead of occupying two PoE Ethernet ports. They work great and I have not noticed/experienced any issues so far! Great stuff!
