The main reason I purchased this set is because sadly my cat singed his tail a while back and I have been paranoid every since as it could have been tragic for him. This set is amazing. You get a total of 9 LED candles that look so real, it is hard to tell they are not unless you look at the wick. They are made of real wax so when you have them on display they look real. You get nine candles in this set in 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 inches. They are perfect to group together in one stunning display or to break apart into smaller groupings. They are super easy to use, as once you turn them on and place them in the display you want, you do not have to pick them up again until you need to change a battery. You can control these candles completely with the included mini remote control. No worries if you have split the set up as you can use the remote and point it at each grouping to control them if you have some in your dining room and some in your living room you can have all of them on or just the grouping in the room you are in. What I like is you can set the remote as it has a 24 hour cycle on them to turn on at a specific time of the day, after which, you can choose how long they are on before they shut off, you can set it to 2, 4, 6 or 8 hours of on time and not have to worry about did you turn them off. You can also choose the level of light you want the candles to have as there is a range of brightness from dim to bright that you can use. The glow of the wick is a realistic orange/yellow in color again and switch between a solid light to a flickering light like a real candle will make. Of course with LED candles there is no worry or concern of fire, burns or accidentally spilling of hot wax so they are safe to use anywhere you like.

Looks like real candles — and come with a remote control!

I just got these today and immediately put the batteries in and started them up. These lights are pretty great. The birch effect comes through really well when these are lit up. From even a short distance, you really can't tell that these aren't real candles! The flickering is quite realistic as is the overall glow. The light in these is a little yellower than some of the other LED flicker candles I have, but they give a very nice, warm glow. The remote control is convenient — no only can you turn them on/off, but you can also adjust the brightness, turn the flicker on/off, and set an auto-off timer. I would buy these again.

Love these candles!

I love these candles! The moving "flames" give a very realistic effect and i love that you can adjust how bright the lighting is. The outer birch design is beautiful. You get the same movement and light of a real candle, but in a much safer way. I have a 5 year old and a cat so these give me great piece of mind.

Love these candles!

I bought these lovely candles for our downstairs bedroom fireplace. They are beautifully crafted and I love how they look and feel. These candles turn on and off with a small remote, in which the battery is included. Each candle requires two AA batteries. The candles can be programmed with a click of the remote to glow steady or gently flicker for 2, 4, 6, or 8 hours. Additionally, you can program the brightness level. I love the ambience they add to the room.

Perfect for kids' play

They arrived a bit early, and were well packaged. I'm using them for a children's play for which needed votive-sized "candles." They do look like plastic, but from stage, they will be just right. If I were planning to use them in my home, though, I wouldn't want them to be where people could see very well!

Nice and affordable decoration

Very satisfied

I purchased two sets and immediately put batteries in the first set and seemed decent at first but the range of the remote was horrible. It seemed like you had to be less than a foot away from the candles. I initially set a timer for two hours and sure enough the candles went off at two hours. A little while later I tried to put the candle back on with the remote, but got no reaction with the remote only being a couple inches away from the candles. I ended up turning the candles off and on again and even then the remote have to be about 6 inches away from the candles for the remote to work. I hope I don’t have a defective remote and I’ve only open the one package! Update:I immediately contacted the company and they are sending me a replacement remote at no cost. Excellent customer service!

Comenzar Support MIA

So on the positive side, all three candles came in good order and lit up beautifully when fed 3 AAA batteries each. The problem was when I tried to set the timer with the remote control, it wouldn't work on any of the candles (none of the functions of the remote as though it were not communicating.) I replaced the remote battery with a new one thinking it may have come with a defective battery but also did not work with that. Thinking it may have likely been a defective remote, I sent an email to the support email address referenced in the directions and it was returned with a message "Your message wasn't delivered to service@comenzar88.com because the address couldn't be found, or is unable to receive mail." I then went to the Comenzar website and found a form to contact them there but each time I hit the Send button, received this message - "There was an error trying to send your message. Please try again later." Needless to say, a little concerned about the inability to contact Comenzar to remediate this problem as if I can't set the candles to light up on a timer, will not remotely fit the expected need. Hopefully they come back and correct this so I can revise my review. Update - Comenzar contacted me, replaced the remote and all working well!
