Great Machine and exceptional customer service

The machine works as expected and more. Way better than Me. Coffee. Seems I accidently washed the filter in dishwasher. The customer service helped me immediately with new parts shipped free of charge. I am extremely happy I bought this machine to support companies which still value their customers. The taste of the espresso is definitely great depending on the right finess and brand of coffee. Using the right coffee makes espressos better even than Starbucks. Highly recommended. Close to a year now and the machine works the same way I bought it since day one.

Great Espresso

When I traveled to Italy, I returned addicted to pure Italian espresso. I saw this machine had high ratings and low price, so I decided to give it a try. I have been using this machine every day for over a year now, and I am very happy with it. It makes excellent espresso! I prefer my homemade espresso now over any local coffee shop. I drink espresso straight, with a little sugar, so I can definitely taste the difference between good and bad espresso. This machine is excellent. I would recommend, however, that you buy a high quality burr grinder and heavy 51mm tamper. I don't fault the company for not including these because they are trying to keep the set within a specific price point. I also recently lost the black tip for the steam wand. I emailed the company, and they responded quickly and replaced the part free of charge! Between the high quality espresso and excellent customer service, I give the machine 5 stars.

An excellent espresso/cappuccino maker!

An excellent espresso/cappuccino maker! The fact that everything you need (except for the coffee beans!) is included is quite amazing. The espresso is delicious with an elegant layer of crema and the milk steamer works very well, even with no-fat milk. The grinder works best if you don't overload it above the marked line--otherwise beans will come through intact. All in all, after 5 weeks of daily use, we are very happy with this new machine, and, though I haven't needed any service, the company seems very responsive and has emailed "tips" and links if you need them.

Awesome machine and heck of a value!

After purchasing one for my apartment I got so hooked to the liquid gold it produced I purchased 2 more for my office and summer cottage. Its been 15 years since my semester in Milan and I've bought multiple fancy Italian espresso machines, spending north of $2500 trying to duplicate the flavor, aroma and crema of my favorite cafe in Piazza Mercanti. How ironic that I found it in this little piece of machinery that cost less then a tenth the price?? But don't let the compact size fool you its a work horse, on average our office machine makes 15-20 cups a day, that's over 100 cups a week and going strong! Other pros of this product are 1) Super easy to clean 2) Terrific for beginners (my last machine took 2 weeks to figure out) 3) This is sold as a set, you have everything you need from a grinder down to 2 ceramic cups. Just add the beans! 4)Fortunately I haven't had to contact the company yet, but many reviewers report positive experiences with helpful customer service. The only cons 1) Company claims "ready to use in 45 seconds" I've found it takes closer to 3 minutes if you include filling up water and grinding the beans. 2) You'll become addicted to using the steam wand, and evolve into a coffee snob like me! Is EspressoWorks a publicly traded company?? They make a quality product, I'd buy their stock!

Great product, better seller

Having worked in a coffee shop I was familiar with espresso and milk steaming machines. While this product is not intended for commercial use, it is perfect for the home. The machine itself has an amazingly small footprint, and puts out adequate pressure for brewing single/double espresso shots and for properly steaming milk. The inclusion of different sized "inserts" which allow switching depth of the coffee filter attachment is a novel idea and well executed. Bought this item as a gift for my wife who loves it, but I use it myself frequently as well. Keep it clean and it should serve you for an extended period of time. For the price, I don't believe this item can be beat. As for the seller: when the unit was originally delivered the steam wand wasn't performing well. After following the typical trouble-shooting tips and conferring with the seller, we found the unit was simply unable to produce enough pressure to steam or properly brew. Within a week the seller had replaced the unit, and I'm happy to report it works perfectly. No matter the production value there is always a possibility of a defect here or there. The seller standing by the product and immediately replacing it to our satisfaction really sealed the deal for us. I highly recommend both this product and the seller from whom we purchased it.

Great coffee; Great company!

I'm really likin' this machine and the company, but that didn't come easily. I've been through a few different brand machines; each of them has pros and cons. This one seems the best combination of all wanted features at a decent price and the customer service is both very professional and helpful. The coffee is delicious, especially if you're willing to go through the trouble (it does get easier and faster) of grinding the beans. It's a little tight to get cappuccino-size cups in and out, but that too becomes easier and faster with use. The best feature is that you can easily clean the steamer hose which often got clogged on one brand and actually broke on another. Don't be turned off as I was by their booklet not having a phone number; it was printed before they thought of adding one. Very easy to use.

Love, love, love!! This is a very easy to use machine and it does t take up a lot of counter space. We love lattes and use this every day. We are saving a ton of money making our own each morning instead of buying them on the way to work. Really nice machine and very happy we bought it.

the main best feature for us is the front view water tank

I just got this espresso machine set as a gift for my husband for our new kitchen. The minute he saw the box it came in he was sooooo excited. The machine is exactly what he asked for. The main best feature for us is the front view water tank. On our old machine, the tank was located at the back and it was really annoying because it was always running out of water before we even knew it. being able to see the water levels from the front of the machine makes all the difference and gives a really great look having it in our new kitchen! The machine heats up really quickly, definitely within 45 seconds just like the box says. the grinder it comes with is very professional and works great. You just put the beans into it, put on the cap, twist a little and there it is, finely ground espresso. I was excited that it came with the frother cup and built in steamer because i cant wait to make cappuccino for our guests. Overall I would definitely recommend this espresso machine set. It literally has everything you need to get started except the milk and espresso beans. Great Christmas gift or housewarming!

This machine is amazing! I have had it for a couple of weeks and make at least a single shot daily. I make sure to clean eveything well after each use. The espresso comes out creamy but it may take you a couple of tries to get the right pressure down when you pack the coffee in. Try lightly first and then tighter next time. The tighter the more pressure builds and less water comes thru the coffee - no ideal. I will update this review if anything changes.

Awesome Expresso Machine!!!

Just got my machine and me and the gf are psyched. Our first cappuccino was delicious and very simple to make. Also very impressed with all of the components and would def recommend this all in one set. 5 stars.
