the MB3000 was easy to install and operate but I was unsure about it when I first tested it. I have it mounted directly adjacent and above the walkway to our front door. The sensor seemed to look too far out and not enough down so that I could walk right under it and it would not activate. But, because I procrastinate, I left it up. Over the past several weeks the unit has unfailingly lit the way every time without me "sneaking" by. So I don't know if it's a "learning" unit (Skynet) or my super skill of leave-it-alone-and-see-if-it-works-right-eventually paid off but...it pays to be lazy. Even my super critical wife when it comes to decorating loves it. Now, let's see how long the batteries last. Unfortunately that's a problem that leaving-it-be WON'T solve.

Love this product!

I am extremely impressed with this product. First of all, I received it in 2 days. There is absolutely no assembly required. Simply put in 4 'D' batteries and your ready to mount it, which takes but a few minutes and you're done! It is very well made and is of high quality. I've had other outside motion flood lights and they don't compare to these lights. And oh yes, they work perfectly! I would recommend these flood lights to anyone looking for a wireless solution.

Portable and compact. Good fit outside of the house.

So far so good. Just installed the light outside of my house and it is pretty bright. I am one of those flashlight guys so the 600 lumens didn't make me go ooohhh aaahhhh lol. I mean it's bright but I am used to 1k-2k lumens ... but as usual, I digress. It is nice and portable. I don't know how long the batteries will last but the unit feels sturdy and solid enough. Appears to have a good seal so hopefully the batteries and metal internal parts won't rust fast. The item is smaller than I expected and that is not a bad thing, it tucks out of the way and doesn't stand out. It has a decent distance for the sensor to pick up moving objects. So far I am happy with it and would buy another one if I needed to. I would tell a friend about this item and recommend it.

High quality...I'm pleased

I just bought two for my back porch here in the woods. The instructions were clear and simple, and it took about 10 minutes total to install and aim the lights heads. All you need to install them is a Phillips screwdriver. When it comes time to change the batteries, they are very easily removed from the mounting bracket. When I took them apart to install the 4D cell batteries, they are obviously well engineered and well-made. When nighttime came and I tested them I was very happy with their sensitivity and the amount of light they put out.

Great lights, easy to instsll

I have ordered quite a few Mr. Beams lights. These are my fav "outdoor" or heavy-duty ones. Easy to install and they put out a lot of light! I am considering more for the side of the house. BTW there is an ingenious way to remove the light to change batteries, and the lights themselves swivel and rotate making it easy to get the light where one wants it. Can't speak to battery life yet, but am pleased so far.

so convenient to have battery powered lights

I ordered these for some additional lighting in the back yard that did not require crawling through the attic to wire lights into the existing electrical. They were easy to install (although I had to purchase different screws to go through the hardi-plank) and the light is crazy bright. Now I can see what the dogs are doing when they go out at night. I following some of the tips and put electrical tape on the seam. Hope the batteries last a while. UPDATE: Batteries are still going strong after 8 months. Dogs cause the lights to turn on when they go in and out at night several times, plus I think it picks up the occasional possum in the yard. One light is directly in front of a tree, and since it's very windy here, that light goes on and off multiple times a night, but it's still working. So I am hoping the batteries will hold out a full year. It should be too much of a hassle to change out the batteries anyway.

Very Bright For D-Battery Powered LEDs

I have some other Mr. Beams brand lights and I am very happy with them. I wasn't sure what to expect from these. They are extremely bright and legitimate. I was very surprised at how bright they are for D-Battery power. Quick Glance: ** The Units are powered by 4 D-cell Batteries (My other Mr. Beams have lasted a long time so I assuming the same) ** Light shuts off automatically after 20 seconds of zero motion. They will stay on as long as you need if you are in line of the motion sensor ** The individual lights pivot up and down and sideways for a variety of different angles ** Motion Sensor is 30 feet ** Waterproof; you tighten the batteries in with a slot head screwdriver for a very snug fit

Very nice security light

This is exactly what I was looking for when I wanted safety lighting installed on my home. These lights appear to be soundly engineered. I appreciate the clear instructions, easy assembly, gasket around the battery compartment, strong mounting plate, and the light being shut off during the day. I made one change: I took the mounting plate and enlarged the openings to accept a 1/4" screw (I discarded the mounting hardware that came with the kit). The only problem I've run across is that skunks, raccoons, etc. keep turning on one of the lights during the night; needless to say, I've replaced batteries more often than I care to.

Great Outdoor Light

Easy to install. No electricity needed, runs on 4 batteries. Love that the lights pivot so you can aim one straight and one sideways. High quality plastic. Love that the cap is attached so when a battery change is needed, no screws will be lost. I bought one for my Mom and I liked hers so much that I bought one for the side of my garage.

Great light!!

I ordered this product on Tuesday and it arrived on Wednesday. I wanted a motion sensor light for over my garage so that I don't have to worry about coming home after dark with no light on outside the front door. It is an awesome product! Very easy to install and works well for my needs.
