Perfect space heater.
Works very well. I have it in my bathroom on a timer to turn on a half hour before I awake to a toasty morning routine. I have also used it in my 2 car garage to bring the room up to a reasonable working temp when its freezing outside. It does have a mild tolerable fan hum as nearly every fan does from heaters to even most computer fans. And even though another reviewer stated that they cant tell a difference in the heat settings, there is absolutely a big difference. The unit turns off and on automatically with the thermostat setting knob adjustment on top. it has a little pressure switch on the bottom near the back metal leg that will turn the unit off if it isnt depressed from the unit sitting upright. I suppose it could be bypassed with tape if your application required it.

I have it in my bedroom (about 12ft by 17ft) and it keeps it nice and toasty
This little heater puts out so much more heat than I was expecting. I have it in my bedroom (about 12ft by 17ft) and it keeps it nice and toasty! It has a temperature gauge so if the room gets to the temp on the dial, it will stop blowing heat. And it gets pretty hot so I have my temperature gauge turned down to a little less than half way. I love the sleek look of the heater, it compliments my room nicely with its modern look, which is very important to me. The cool touch shell is a big plus since the heater sits on top of my dresser. My husband had suspicions about this when I ordered it because of the small size but even he said he is impressed with the power of it, it works so much better than our last space heater. The fan in the heater is a tiny bit noisy, but I like that because I like having white noise when I go to sleep, it’s not too loud. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Definitely worth the price!

The Little Heater That Does
When I saw and felt this I thought 'Here's one that'll have to go back. This thing won't warm up the budgerigar.' But of course you've got to give things a chance, and my goodness me! My budgie's got to fan himself! Not really. He gets the parrot to fan him. But size and weight are extremely deceptive in the case of this surprisingly powerful machine. And I get really, really cold so it must be good! I've been using it in an ordinary-size bedroom. In a really big room, or one with a high ceiling, it probably wouldn't be the best. But for normal places I can't imagine there's anything better. It's so easy to use I keep thinking I must've done something wrong. Dread discovering there was some all-important 'set up' I failed to be aware of. But apparently not as I've used it quite a bit and nothing's blown up yet. Just heats up the room quickly and thoroughly. Stays cool to the touch, makes a gentle (to my ears at least) fan sound, arrives assembled, switch and dial are completely understandable. Doesn't have that weird smell/feel that so many heaters have. I don't know what's in them, but lots of them make me feel quite dizzy and have a dreadful smell. This one just makes you feel warm, not as if you're being exposed to nuclear fall-out. So lightweight it almost seems comical, so it's really easy to move about. Very easy to change/control the amount of heat you want. Heats evenly and consistently. I've tried some that make you think you're alright then suddenly you're boiling, throwing the windows open, it takes about an hour to get the room livable again, then you've got pneumonia or flu all because of your poxy heater. I love this little heater which is probably saving me a packet! (Haven't got electric bill since it got cold enough to use it, so I can't give figures, but it saves you having to heat rooms you're not in.) It's also really quite nice-looking. I hate the look of most electric or technological things but this is pleasantly basic. Hugely recommended and thoroughly wonderful. Amazon reviewers to my rescue again!

It keeps me nice and warm and toasty
This little heater is a powerhouse!! Don't judge it by it's small size!! I got this little heater for my computer room because it's the coolest room in the winter months. It keeps me nice and warm and toasty!! I love the design; it almost looks like a stereo speaker or alarm clock, which makes it look good in any room you chose to use it in. The heat is instantaneous and it has a nice control knob on top which let's you adjust the heat and it has auto shut-off. I never even have to put in on the high setting, because I keept it a couple of feet away from me on the floor and it gets nice and toasty within a couple of minutes! I love the safety features it has too. If it is bumped/moved or tips over, it will automatically shut-off. It is very quiet too. You don't have to worry about getting burned because the exterior stays cool. Only the heating element inside gets hot. Honestly, I can't say one negative thing about this heater. I've owned Honeywell products all my life and never been disappointed with them. This stands true for this products as well.

Way better than I expected!
What a pleasant surprise this was. I ordered it with a wing and a prayer after reading reviews that talked about it being noisy and not giving off enough heat. Wow. I'd like to know what else people have bought that is less noisy and gives more heat. I've been buying bigger heaters for my bedroom for a long time -- after a few years they all give out -- and this one is better than any I've had. Not as noisy as others and gives a surprising amount of heat for being in a tiny -- and attractive -- casing.

Best space heater for the price, packs a lot of punch and throws off more heat than you'd think
Needed to replace the Lasko space heater under my desk after it melted, and this product is great, sends off waves of heat much more effectively than my old Lasko product (which was basically just a hot fan where the air had to be blowing on you directly to warm you up). Also the temperature control feature (basically a thermostat that goes on and off when the ambient temperature reaches a certain point) is super useful. I was afraid it would be noisy because one of the reviews said something about that, but it's whisper quiet (much more so than my old space heater was), I can barely hear it. Very satisfied.

Tiny but powerful
When it first arrived it seemed like it was way too small to heat up a room so I went and bought a tower heater. That one used way too much power so I returned it. This small heater really surprised me by heating my condo up just enough for me to keep the house heater turned off! It's a space saver for sure but does the job quite well. The picture shows the heater's size compared to a dollar bill

Attractive and Functional Ceramic Heater
Ceramic heaters are convenient when you just want to warm up a small space, but unfortunately tend to be eyesores. The Honeywell HCE200W UberHeat Ceramic Heater bucks this trend and is both stylish and functional. It's also a bit pricier than comparable heaters. The good news is that the heater works very well. There is a three-way switch for off, 900 watts or 1500 watts. 1500 watts is only about 5100 BTUs, and near the limit of most 110 volt circuits, so don't expect to heat your house with these things. There is also a thermostat, which is controlled by a dial, but unfortunately does not have numbered settings. To find the right setting, turn the knob to the maximum clockwise position, wait until the room is the desired temperature and then turn the knob counter-clockwise just enough for the heating element to turn off. The red light will stay on. The fan operates at a single speed, and the heater has a set angle. As a safety precaution, it has a four way tip-over switch. I would buy the heater again.

Very compact heater that packs a punch
I bought this heater after researching the safest heaters to use in a nursery. Our rooms get very cold if the doors are closed due to us having a pellet stove for heat. Therefore, I needed a heater that would be safe to use. Basically, I like this one. A lot. Here's what it can (and cannot) do- Good: - It heats up a 22'*16' room very quickly. You start to feel the difference in about 10 minutes, and it turns off in about an hour. - You can set the temperature (kind of). It has a dial that goes from low to high, and you can set it. This thing makes the room so hot that we have it set on the low side. If I were to change one thing it definitely would be that I want to be able to set a specific temperature (i.e. 70 degrees.) When it reaches its temp it turns off so that it isn't constantly running, which I found a must. - It turns off if it tips. There is a little spring that is activated when properly sitting on a surface. If you pick it up or it falls over, it turns off. Also a must. - It is small. Like, really small. It sits on my daughter's dresser and is slightly larger then a round alarm clock. It's hard to believe the size to heat output. - It doesn't get hot to the touch. Worried about little fingers? Well, this is high up on a dresser AND doesn't get hot. So no worries about this heater burning a little one. - It's cute. I know this matters not at all, but it is. It fits perfectly with her white decor, if you care about that sort of thing. Not Great: - It doesn't turn. This doesn't matter to me, but it might to you. - You can hear it. It's not silent. It's slightly more quiet than what we have in our bedroom but does makes noise. If you are a light sleeper then you may wake up when it turns off and on throughout the night. Overall: I like it more than the one in our own room and may switch. Especially for this price.

Keeping us warm while furnace is broken
Our home's heating system was destroyed in a flash flood in Aug and we are now in early Dec (in wisconsin) using these heaters while we wait for repairs. The house is 2200 sq ft, over 100yrs old with high ceilings and drafty Windows. I bought 5 of these heaters (plus one fireplace style which is pretty but doesn't provide any more heat) and started using them in Oct. Note: the instructions say DO NOT plug in to extension cords - the cords do get hot and cause a fire hazard if not plugged directly in to a wall outlet. The units themselves don't get overly hot and the auto-shut off function works consistently if they are tipped or lifted. Running 2 of these heaters upstairs (about 1000sq ft) will maintain a temp of 65-70 while it's 20-30 degrees outside. The downside is that the temperature control doesn't seem to work well, meaning they need to be turned on or off manually for the most part, to keep a consistent temperature in an area. They actually heat too well to keep running in a closed room for hours at a time. Downstairs is more drafty and harder to keep warm (plus the basement isn't currently heated) today it is 20 degrees outside, I'm running one heater in each of the 5 rooms in the first floor (4 of these + the electric fireplace) and the temp inside is 64. The electric bill from Nov since we have had at least one running constantly was only about $100 higher than average which was offset by not having a gas bill. My conclusion: these little heaters function well beyond their intended purpose!
