First, I should say that I'm thrilled with this air fryer! It lives up to the hype about producing crispy, golden brown food with little or no oil. I've been making vegetarian meat(less) balls rolled in Panko crumbs. They come out with a delicate crisp crust even when cooked without oil. I wanted to comment specifically on a question someone raised about the heat output. I used a BBQ thermometer to measure the exhaust temp right next to the vent at the back of the air fryer. The temp is not much lower than the cooking temp. For example, cooking at 370 degrees F produces 342 degree exhaust. The convection fan forces air out at a velocity similar to a hair dryer on a low setting. (In fact, air fryers operate a lot like hair dryers.) So obviously you'd want to heed the warning that comes in the instructions saying to leave at least an 8 inch gap behind the back of the air fryer. Personally, I like to leave an even larger gap, and I won't put a flammable object anywhere near the unit. This issue isn't particular to the GoWise product. That's just how pretty much all air fryers work. I noticed another question about whether air fryers raise the room temp. Theoretically, yes, but I don't think the effect is any greater than what happens when I use my gas stove top or full-sized oven. Again, it's like running a hair dryer. The air fryer tends to cook pretty fast so, if anything, there is less effect on room temp.

Wife makes me the fried food I love with this without the guilt of eating "deep fried" food. Hardly ever use the full size oven anymore saving us from a hot kitchen. Great for heating up leftovers from home cooked and take out food.

After a lot of research for a healthier cooking method for "fried" items, I decided on this model based on reviews, and I have not been disappointed with anything I've made so far (usually with just a tiny bit of olive oil or spray and herbs): chicken thighs, pork chops, salmon, red potatoes, Brussels sprouts. The recipe book was very limited and lacked even a basic cooking time/temperature chart for various foods so I found a great chart on Pinterest. Although this model has presets, it's easy to adjust time and temp for different food sizes or it you want something browner. The basket assembly cleans in a snap with a non-scratch scrubber, soap and water without any soaking if you use a non-stick spray.

After doing my homework I purchased the GoWISE air fryer, if the only thing it makes is French fries I still would be happy, the fries are perfect! But so is the fried chicken and the chicken wings and the way it cooks any frozen item from egg rolls to fish is amazing! Easy instructions for frozen foods, 400 degrees for 1/2 listed oven time. Each day I'll try something new and so far no disappointment ! Very pleased

This air fryer really does what it says it will so far. I have made fries twice and chicken wings and they all came out great. However, I had to extend the cooking time to suit me. Recommended to buy.

I knew I wanted an airfryer, but I did not want one that would break the bank. I chose this one on the basis of the reviews and I'm happy to say I am not disappointed. It makes cheap frozen french fries and onion rings taste like they should be bad for you! It also made frozen chicken tenders into delicious fried chicken in 20 minutes. I never knew you could make a sandwich with these things but that to turned out to be a great melty yummy snack . I love the convenience of quickly cooking something that tastes good and the easy clean-up. It is perfect for 2. 11 months later: Still going strong! A little wear around the back rim of the basket, bit that is to be expected as much ad this bad boy is used. Made seasoned fries today.

I live in a nice but small basement apartment with little ventilation. It has an open range but the first time I tried to cook dinner with traditional pots and pans it was obvious that the small exhaust fan was not up to the job of evacuating all the steam and pungent smells from my food out of my apartment. So, I bought this air fryer just so there would not be excessive steam/smell emanating from my food. However, what I found is that it is the best cooking tool I have ever used for many other reasons. Why I love this thing: There is virtually no steam or overly pungent smells that emanate from it when it is used. It does not take any oil to cook the food making it healthier for me and easier to clean. It is small, does not take over my entire counter top and looks really nice. Even gives my kitchen an uptick in appearance. It is crazy versatile. I can cook almost anything in it and I do 2-6 times per day. It is easy to clean, especially if you line the catch tray and basin with foil - then it becomes crazy easy to clean - just toss the foil It is easy to use. It has automatic settings for the basics like chicken, steak or potatoes and cooks those foods to perfection if you use that setting. It came with a nice cook book and the recipes are delish. It seems to be well built. I have been cooking on it for several months now and nothing has broken yet. I have only 1 small nit pick: It beeps a lot and kinda loud too. It beeps when you put in the tray, it beeps when you touch any button, it beeps 5 times really loud when the food is done, it beeps when you cancel the timer. A beep setting I can control would be better. Enjoy!

First time using this thing and let me tell you. I'm very impressed. The sweet potato fries were good and my chicken tenders were perfect. Crispy outside, moist inside. Would definitely use this frier more often. Take a look at the pictures I attached to this review. I also made curry shrimp and they are perfect. I'm happy with this purchase and definitely would recommend it to my friends.

I used my Instant Pot, Cuisinart food processor, deep fryer, and nu wave oven a few times each and just kinda let them sit now. Either they are too tedious to clean or are designed for big meals. (Except, in the case of the Nu Wave oven- it smells bad when used) This air fryer is perfect for twoperson meals, in 25 minutes and they come out perfect. I made a huge pork chop with out adding any oil (I forgot to) and it turned out as good as any I've ever had, 27 minutes for me as I like it well done. Chili flakes, cumin, garlic powder, a dusting of baking soda and a spray of fish sauce for saltiness. I made chicken wings last night that turned out perfectly too. I can see using this a lot more than I will use my oven this summer. The batch size is perfect and clean up is easy. It could be easier to clean but the basket cannot go into the dishwasher without using a screwdriver to remove the handle (weird) Right now all it needs is a quick soak and wipe, so I can't complain too much. Cheers! I wasn't interested at $99 but at 69 I had to have it. Lol!

First of all, I run a grain-free, low carb recipe site and post 2-4 recipes on average every week so I use this air fryer a LOT! Sometimes more than once a day! There were several reviews saying that the non-stick coating was "peeling off" and I have to say that I have seen absolutely no sign of that. This unit has been exceptionally easy to clean, and despite using it pretty much constantly it is in perfect shape. It cooks nearly anything you'd want it to (I even tried eggs just for fun and they were perfect!), you don't have to spend 20 minutes preheating an oven, you don't heat up your house, there is no spatter on your stove or counters from frying, and the clean up is a snap. What more could you possibly want! And best of all, everything I've tried in it has come out wonderfully. Meats especially stay tender and oh so juicy. Do yourself a favor - quit reading this and just buy one already!
