Nowadays, if you buy tie downs at Costco or Harbor Freight, the webbing is so thin it'll have you wondering why the heck don't they make them like they used to? These are made like they used to - excellent, heavy duty straps. Thanks!!

The ratchet mechanism is sturdy and works smoothly; much better than ratchet straps that I've purchased at local chain discount stores. The straps are as thick, rugged, and reliable as described by other buyers. I'm happy with the build quality and would definitely buy again. Also, the customer service is first class. I haven't had any problems with the straps, but the seller has followed up several times to ensure that I'm completely satisfied with the product. Would buy from them again.

Excellent product, premium quality at a reasonable price. These are very heavy duty and very easy to use. Update: I gave this product 5 stars after using 2 of the straps to secure a load of ten foot long oak pallets I needed to transport. I wrote the review after transporting the load but before removing the straps. When I got around to removing the straps I discovered that one of the ratchets was bent and although I was able to get it loose from the load (which must have shifted during my thirty mile drive), the ratchet is no longer usable. As a result of the damaged ratchet during first use, I have changed my rating to 3 stars. Update No.2: Maybe I just got a defective ratchet assembly. When the seller found out about this issue they immediately sent me a complete new set of PREMIUM LOCKDOWN RATCHET STRAPS. Definitely 5 stars!

Unfortunately, it's a very active hurricane season this year and I needed some extra roof retention beyond my recent hurricane clip retrofit. The typical inch-and-a-quarter ratcheting straps from Home Depot/Lowes were ok, but only for medium-duty use at best. So I found these 3000 Lb break strength rated straps on Amazon and took a chance after reading the reviews. I have to agree with all the 5-Star ratings/reviews. Firstly, these are 2x the thickness of your typical 1 1/4" straps and the "double" hooks are stout, no doubt. In fact these are so impressive, I immediately bought 8 more! These should work really well to help prevent my roof from lifting off during the next hurricane and I truly feel that these are the Abrams Tank of 1 1/4" ratcheting cargo straps!

These are the best small straps you can buy. They surpass all other small straps. The weight ratings and quality a by far # 1. I tend not to get all wet when I review stuff but I love theses things. They leave you felling good inside, not cheap like other straps. Don't be a cheap bass tard and spend 12 bucks to hold your 6 to 20K power sport thing to your trailer. Remember, a good strap is way cheaper then a lawsuit.

I have bought a number of tie-downs over the years that were rated for 500lbs. They are all about the same in quality and the thin straps are a nuisance and the ratchet will become hard to operate over time. I decided to purchase these premium ratchet straps because of the rating and the construction of the ratchet device. I will never purchase the cheap ones ever again. I’m actually going to purchase another set and throw the others away. You actually get what you pay for and in this case even more. Ratchet is larger and operates easily. When it’s time to release you can do so without any effort. The straps are thick and then ends are so much better than the S style hook.

Purchased these straps to secure a Pelican ice-chest in the back of my Ford Raptor for off-road adventures. I was tired of catching 2' of air and my older ice-chest catching 4' of air! Dang ice-chest always showed me up! With a proper ice-chest that has excellent tie down mounts and these straps from Lockdown no more jump battles with the ice-chest. After the purchase I received a few follow-up e-mails from JD Distributions. Normally I don't care for such follow-up e-mails but I was provided a PDF on how to properly use the straps... That was nice as I learned a thing or two on proper usage.

I use these to strap down my ATV's inside my enclosed trailer. These are above and beyond the best straps I have used. You can tighten them down as much as you need to without fear of the strap breaking or the ratchet bending/failing. They are easy to release and the included soft loop straps work really well when looped around the rack on the ATV. Sure, they are overkill for what I use them for, but the confidence in the build quality along with ease of use make it worth the little extra cost, which is not all that much considering the included straps.

I was heading from WA. to AZ with a sand rail and other important stuff (Smoker....buggy parts....lol) anyway, bought the trailer for 300 bucks, didn't replace or repack the bearings...So i was South east of Madras at 11pm because a bearing failed, heated up the spindle and the tire passed me (i was doing 55) slammed to the ground, sparks everywhere....Needless to say I only had to adjust the straps once, and that was due to the trailer bouncing, either the axle was bad (we ended up replacing it) or the load wasnt centered. Not the strap companies fault. These things are great, easy to use - love the color. Well packaged - None of the straps failed when this happened. I had one get caught under a wheel, but i just zip tied it in a roll, and it was fine after that. Great product, i would buy again - but i won't need too because they work great, and won't need to replace a great item. By the way, thats a 24 foot trailer.

Three of the four straps work fine. One takes some fiddling with to get the release to work - no big deal. Most importantly, they hold my wolverine on the trailer. I stop to check tightness several times on a trip. They may require one more ratchet turn on the first stop (normal) but then are good for the remainder of the trip. I am happy with the purchase. Be advised I hate writing reviews on Amazon as negative reviews are sometimes rejected.
