Warm
I bought a large for my 9 year old. It fit perfectly and kept him warm in cold temperatures that almost hit freezing. We did a lot of walking outside and it was sufficient. He's a taller than average but skinny 9 year old, and his jeans usually need an adjustable waist to cinch them up. The thermals were long enough for his tall frame and fit his waist. So, they're made for skinnier frames but are stretchy. Hope this helps someone with sizing. I always get him a size larger in pants so that they are long enough.

Great! Soft! Comfortable! Loved!
I ordered these for my son anticipating a trip to the snow. When we opened them so he could try them on, he declared he loved them right away. The inside is super soft and comfortable. In fact, he ended up using them as pajamas for a week and I could barely get him out of them. But, when I needed to wash them I noticed that the "silky" (meaning polyester) outside was already starting to pill. When I pulled them out of the dryer, the elastic waistband was already warped. I wouldn't expect these to last through a long, rough winter. I'm going back to only purchasing 100% cotton thermals. ----------------------------------------- UPDATE (March 14, 2019): After my initial 2-star review, I was contacted by the seller who said I must've gotten ahold of a bad pair and offered to send my another at no extra cost! I was so pleasantly surprised and took them up on that offer. We received the new pair very quickly, and opened them up right away. This pair DID seem a bit thicker and softer. My son immediately wanted to put them on and exclaimed how comfortable they are. He absolutely loves them. He's been wearing them for at least a week now and there's been no pilling on this pair. I finally got them off of him and washed them and they failed much better through the wash! I am completely shocked. I very much appreciate the seller being so proactive. It's always a welcome surprise these days. Thank you for that alone!

These are great, but they run a bit small
We bought several pairs of these for a backcountry camping trip in Utah a few months ago. They were a life saver for sleepwear at camp. I was worried they would be to restricting, but my son liked them once he got over his hangup about wearing tights out and about. They have a thin fleece layer inside and are really comfortable. They run a bit small and I wish I would have ordered a size up, but I would absolutely purchase these again. They were great for sleeping and keeping warm at night.

These thermals were worth every penny.
These thermals were worth every penny. Excellent quality, cozy thick material.. not the thin waffle material of the cheap kind. My son loves it and wouldnt take it off... It looks great under clothing- not bulky at all... It seems very well made and I love the color!

Great Value, Great Product, Excellent Warmth
EXCELLENT kids thermals. Super soft inside. Wash well. Kept both my kids super warm on our trip to Mammoth (daytime temps mid 40s on the slopes). Got the XS for my nearly 4-year old boy (39.5" and 34 lbs), and they fit just as you'd want a base layer to fit - close to the skin but not too restricting. Got the girl version in a small for my tall 6 year-old girl (47.25"/52 lbs), and they fit great too, but she will likely need to size up next season (a little bit tighter on her than on her brother, but she's built a bit thicker!). Great value though for a top and bottom set.

Warm soft but runs small!

Thick, doesnt run small like other brands.
6 brands, that is how many different brands of thermal underwear I had to try for my son with SPD before we found these. They are PERFECT, thick, soft and warm. In other brands my son has had to order sizes 12/14 even though he is an 8 for them to now be transparent. I made the mistake of ordering these that size too and he could have easily gone down a size. I cant return them because he loves them too much but I will be buying more for him in the correct size. It is SO WONDERFUL to finally find a thick pair that fits as they should. They will keep him warm in our cold Fairbanks winter. My sons only request was they have more colors. He plans on wearing them regularly once it cools off up here. 💜💜

Great value
Very pleased with these! They are very soft and fuzzy on the inside, and half the price of the ones I saw at the ski store. I got them for skiing but my sons both wanted to wear them immediately as pajamas. I found the large was the right size for my tall, skinny 9-year-old, and the medium was a tad long but fit well enough on my average-sized 7-year-old.

He loves them!
Upon trying these on, my 4.5 year old declared that he was going to wear these all day, every day, until he died. So, I'm going to go out on a limb and say that they're comfy. It's actually kind of too cold here to try them out, even his nature based preschool is closed (our predicted high tomorrow is -13degF), but they seem like they'll be a nice warm base layer. He's about 44" and 50lbs, usually wears a 5T, and the small was a good size for him. He's still got room to grow, but they're not so big that he can't get his clothes on over them.
