Shark fin antenna replacement for stick antenna 2012 Kia Forte - Great!

Awesome product, great look, VERY easy install. YOU MUST FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS!!! Double stick adhesive tape is great if applies FIRST TO THE SHARK FIN, then to the ROOF. . . not the other way around! Easy co-ax connection as well, and we noticed NO significant drop in signal strength; yes, major weather / storm events may diminish reception to some degree, but overall, great...and we've been thru dozens of auto car washes and so far the antenna is well attached. The other reason for the replacement was cosmetic - THIS LOOKS SO MUCH BETTER than that lousy black twisted "stick" antenna which was standard Kia for that year.

Clean both surfaces thoroughly before applying adhesive strip

Roofline was not completely level so I filed the bottom slightly to fit the Contour then clean both surfaces with rubbing alcohol heated them with a blow dryer and installed the antenna. Had the car parked in the garage backwards and the reception was no different from the 8in long Mast antenna.

Sharkfins used correctly

Worked perfectly for replacement over factory base. It gave me more clearance for low garage door.
