Storage container is quite durable.

The blocks are good quality, easily handled, bright colors, smooth surfaces with no slivers! They are great for building a variety of towers. What really impressed me was the durability of the box they came in. It is strong, has a lid that comes off and on, and has a cord for carrying. It encourages "pick up time" when there is something good to put the blocks into. The blocks are of such a size that they are not a choking hazard, but they are small enough that a 13 month old child can put them in her mouth and walk around with them. I worry that she will fall and then cause damage to her mouth or developing teeth. Just train the kids to not put them in their mouth. It appeared that these blocks are the same sizes as many others that are on the market.

Great little set of beginner building blocks

Great little set of beginner building blocks. They are well constructed and they are plenty for small ones to create whatever they like. My granddaughters built princess castles and my grandsons build Star Wars Battle Stations. It is delightful to see them use their imaginations as they play with these very simple and basic building blocks.

Love this set!

I purchased this set for my two year old son. He absolutely loves them. I was concerned about one review where they mentioned a kid's head got stuck in the corresponding bucket, but I can't see how that would happen. The bucket is so big that even my nor my husband's head could get stuck in the bucket. The blocks are well made and feel great to the touch. The bucket is study and is a great size for storage. I HIGHLY recommend this set of you blocks. Provides hours of fun for my little one, and I know his brother will love them eventually, too!

Product arrived on-time and in perfect condition. I have been looking for stacking blocks for my son in the several toy stores but either they are too big or too small. These colorful blocks are perfect size and excellent quality. My son has a very busy brain and never is able to stay on 1 task for longer than 10 minutes but I found that he played with these blocks for over an hour at time. I am thrilled with this product.

They LOVE them. They don't ever get tired of them

My 1 year old twins got these for their first birthday. They LOVE them. They don't ever get tired of them. I do wish I would have gotten all painted ones. The wooden ones do water stain kind of easy. But if you haven't already BUY THESE your kids will really enjoy them.

without a good container box doesn't make it a very satisfying purchase

Product is ok. Delivery was on time. However, the box was broken. Given this product is meant to last for a long time, without a good container box doesn't make it a very satisfying purchase. My daughter's birthday is really close. I don't want the hassle of exchanging. Wish they packed the product better. It's a bit harsh to give two stars. However, if I could easily get a replacement box, I would be happy to change my rating to 4 or 5. The customer service contacted me and promptly addressed my complaint. They went above and beyond. I am very impressed. Would recommend anyone who is looking for good quality blocks. As I said the product is OK. It is as good as you could get.

Great Blocks

Just what I was looking for to add to my sons other wooden blocks. Some of the blocks are on the smaller side but that doesn't bother me. They would maybe worry someone who has a one yr old or so that still puts everything in their mouth. That could be taken care of though by removing those few blocks. The rest are fine. I got them for my sons 2nd bday. They are nice blocks and seem to be of a good quality. My son loves them and so does his 6 yr old sister, 9 yr old brother and cousins whose ages range from 4 to 10. They came on time. The container that holds the blocks was damaged on the bottom. Didn't bother me bc I planned on putting them in a plastic container. If I did want to keep them in that container I would not have been able to. Overall a good buy. Very happy with them.

Well made blocks

We love these. I like that they are a solid wood instead of a composite. They are sanded and finished well so I don't get nervous if my daughter chews on them. We were considering these or Melissa and Doug blocks, but these are much higher quality than anything that I've gotten from M&D. The box easily holds all of the blocks too.

Classic toy that my 2 year old loves

I bought these blocks for my grandchild's 2nd birthday. They are colorful, with smooth, well-sanded edges and are nicely shaped. The individual blocks are a little smaller than I expected, but they fit well in her hands and are not so small that they are excruciating if stepped on barefoot. She loves carrying them around by the handful or in a box, bucket, purse, whatever. She stacks them, sorts them, knocks them over. It's a great break from all the electronic toys she has. "STEM" is very trendy, but these blocks are classic, old school, creative play.

Great quality and variety.

I love the variety of the blocks (shapes and colors) and the quality is great! Right now, I am the one having all the fun building towers, while our son (15 months old) mostly enjoys knocking them down and chewing on the blocks. But I'm sure he will enjoy them more and more as he grows.The blocks are not too large, but most of them are not likely to be a chocking hazard except the little cones. If you are concerned about it or if you kid has a tendency to put things in his mouth, you can just remove those.
