I’ve had this for about a week now and I’m obsessed already! So easy to learn how to create your own drinks and super simple to clean. A great machine for making espresso drinks and customize them to how you like. I wouldn’t buy this if you want just plain regular coffee.

I have had super automatic machines for last 16 years (Digital Italea , Magic Comfort Plus, and Xelsis - all Saeco). They made very good espresso; and I learned how to make microbubbles with milk; and at proper temperatures. My last machine was the most expensive: Saeco Xelsis. I actually did not like as much as Magic Comfort Plus because 1: though it would seem to be an advantage , having control of every aspect of espresso made it very difficult to get settings correct for each type of espresso (dose amount, grind size, water amount, temperature). For what ever reason, espresso tasted better in magic comfort plus .....probably all a function of me.....2) automatic milk frothing was not great. So so micro bubbles; but milk never hot enough. It did have a manual wand; but very short and hard to use. I then tried a Nespresso shot and liked it. Very good ; and very little thinking involved. I was considering their Evoluo vertuloline system with frother bundle. Just not sold on the centrifugal force to extract espresso; and their pods were expensive with no third party supplier. So I ended up deciding on a original line Nespresso machine with separate frother. Luckily, just before Black Friday, I noticed this machine and saw a video review. Since the milk is heated to a thermostat temp, it should get hot enough. I pulled the trigger.... Results: 1) beautiful machine; chrome; and small size 8 inches wide 2) makes great espresso with presets for ristretto, espresso, or lungo. And all presets are adjustable for volume. 3) also presets for latte, cappuccino, flat white, or just milk. And all can be user adjusted for milk temp; and liquid/foam ratio Verdict: I can get fantastic microbubbles; I can get milk so hot it tastes scalded.....greater than 170 f; I backed off temp setting back to ideal , which corresponds to about 150 f. It is crazy easy to use; and clean (milk wand automatically water purges after use) So easy my 16 y/o daughter learned how to use machine CORRECTLY (she has not broken it, unlike her cell phones) in under 15 minutes. I also enjoy the no-brained espresso capsules. Makes great espresso. I now can tell which varieties I like and don't like.....and it had nothing to do with how I set up machine (unlike Saeco Xelsis). And I got it for $419!!!!!! Also, water reservoir is fairly large. I guesstimate at least 10 milk based drinks per fill ......not really sure but definitely large enough; and easy finger ring holder to lift up, fill, and replace water reservoir. Sounds trivial, but all the other water tanks more awkward to lift and move. As for costs of capsules: It came with a Nespresso sampler pack. I am new to Nespresso but found their identification system extremely tedious. Nothing written on capsule; just different color. (Decaf had a red dot on bottom .....but who the hell cares about decaf!). Every time I chose a capsule, I had to look at box to identify name; and then look at manual to see what the actual coffee was . No markings for lungo vs regular vs ristretto. No number on capsule telling it's boldness/strength. I ordered a bunch of capsules (sampler from Gourmesso.com)......I think my average cost after coupon was about $0.40 per capsule. And each capsule has a label for what it was; strength; and lungo vs espresso. Though reviews of these as compared to Nespresso were not as good , I honestly though many of them were on par with Nespresso. I also bought a brand from Bed Bath Beyond that was ok; but each capsule was individually wrapped in separate pouch ; unless opened , would not fit in my capsule storage carousel. Any downsides? Only one so far is the container that holds the spent capsules. When it gets full, it prevents a new capsule from properly loading (capsule gets crushed incorrectly). I have now learned to just empty every day . Very easy and it holds about 10 ? spent capsules. I wish there was a sensor telling you to empty it Final verdict: 5 stars ; no regrets

I love this espresso maker. Most Breville stuff is marked with a steep add on proce but here it is completely worth it. It's been over six months since I bought this machine on Amazon and I have put it through its paces making at least two cappuccinos a day. Its a workhorse, reliable and easy to use to customize to your likings. I bought the creatista primarily for the steam wand capability that all the other nesspros lack. I set the heat to the highest it will go to and it's very easy to use. My previous machine was an espresso point by lavazza and I had to do the steaming manually. This gives me smooth, rich foam full of micro bubbles without me doing a thing. I can make Asian style instant coffee with that rich foam anytime I want and it's a simple affair to clean afterwards. No more splashes and spills. If there is anything I would like differently, I wish the minimum milk level for the steamer mug would be lower. Overall, this is a five star espresso maker.

Over the last five years I have bought at least 4 Nespresso machines looking for something that was really comparable or better than going out for a cup of coffee. After having this machine for a month I can honestly say that this is by far the best machine I’ve ever had. It is even better than running to my local Starbucks to get a cup of coffee. Highly recommend for those who have been looking for the perfect Nespresso machine!

With shame, I have to admit we abused our first Creatista. We used it for two years without bothering to descale it, grumped when we failed to clean the steam wand and the milk froth got colder and colder. So when, bad, bad owners that we are, we decided to run vinegar through it instead of the Nespresso descaling solution, our beloved coffeemaker choked and died. From its final gasp to our order for a new one elapsed less than 15 seconds. We’ve been married for 45 years, and average a new coffee maker every two years. Sometimes less. Of them all, the Creatista has delivered the best coffee ever. The flat whites far surpass those of Starbuck’s. Sometimes I put a tad bit of Ghirardelli black syrup in the bottom of the cup, and I am in mocha heaven.

I m so excited with my creatista pluss.. I searched all stores on line including Nespreso store but Amazon has the best price.. Arrived so fast, the second day from purchase and early in the morning so I had time to unpack Seattle up made my first flat white and went to work so happy!! =) By the way I didn’t get an expired Pods like other customer claims. It came with a box of 14 differents coffees pods to try and on the back of the box shows the production date and expiration date. So I received my machine with trial pods on March 5, 2019 and it said best before August 3, 2019 I’ll share a picture. 👍

By now I had this machine close to a week. I put though every possible coffee recipes and so far I’m extremely satisfied with the machine. Milk temperature and froth levels worked flawlessly. Flat white setting was silky in texture. The multiple controls were very easy to understand and adjust. I wish drip drain were wee bit bigger because I had to empty it often. Overall it’s superb machine and it was good upgrade from my previous nespresso model.

I have had the machine for five months now and I love it. I had the Breville Dual Boiler but I get better results with the Nespresso capsules. I had given up on it a while ago and was using a Nespresso machine with the Breville Milk spinner/heater, not real froth. You get real froth with this machine. Perfection every time, IMO.
