DIYVAC 4
Received the DIYVAC 4 (Green) unit today and it worked exactly as described. I had no problem attaching it to my smaller Dry Vac 2inch hose. The PVC fitting slid perfectly into the 3/4 inch elbow end of the condensation pipe. No modifications needed. Great idea that makes cleaning out the A/C condensation line simple and easy. No more clogged line or expensive AC service calls.

DIY & SAVE REPAIR COSTS
I didn't know this product existed until I saw it on youtube. $25.00 is nothing compared to what it had cost me in the past to have a/c repairmen come out and fix my leaking air conditioner and charging me $55.00 for that pleasure. Since I already owned a ShopVac wet/dry vacuum, buying this part was a no-brainer! The only thing you will need is a 3/4" PCV connector which sells for 40 cents at Home Depot. Highly recommended.

Would recommend if you're having these issues
I had a clog somewhere in my condensation line that was causing my A/C to leak at the unit inside the house. I tried using my wet vac to extract the obstruction from both ends of the line, but since the tube from the wet vac didn't fit perfectly, I didn't get enough suction. Bleach didn't seem to do the trick either. This inexpensive little add-on fit into the smallest ring of my wet vac hose, and I was able to pull out the obstruction from the outside line, by letting my wet vac do its thing for about 3 minutes (2 separate times) and pouring bleach into the line from the inside. Would recommend if you're having these issues!

Formed a nice air tight seal on my condensation drain pipe and my wet/dry vac. After 2 minutes the clog was long gone and my AC was humming along and draining as it should. If your AC condensation is backing up, do yourself a favor, get a wet/dry vac, skip over the steps of trying to seal off the drain and vacuum tube with duct tape and whatever contraption you might try and buy one of these. I would get it again in a heart beat.

Buy, Buy, Buy
This little tool saved me hundreds, if not thousands of dollars. Hundreds because I was able to avoid a service call to an HVAC technician for my small issue and thousands because my small issue could have caused thousands of dollars of damage. My HVAC drain lines in the attic were clogged and not sucking out the condensation. This resulting in water pooling in the pan and triggering the switch to shut down the units. I saw this ShopVac adapter on YouTube and came straight to Amazon to purchase. Arrived in 2 days. Schlepped my Rigid ShopVac into the attic and attached to the hose. Sucked out almost 4 gallons of water and then used a recommended cleaning solution and removed the mildew buildup in the lines. Haven't had an issue since then. The key takeaway here is the tool is awesome and great to have, but the seasonal cleaning will help to avoid this issue altogether. The total cost for the seasonal cleaning is less $5.

This thing is great!
This thing is great! I don't know what the problem all the negative review people had with this product. If they had a lick of handyman skills they could've figured it out. I have two overflow drains on my AC. One outside and one that is hooked up to my bathroom drain. The one that goes to the bathroom drain is the one that stopped up quite often. The one that goes outside is the failsafe. All I did is unhook it from underneath my sink hooked up DIYVac to my wet vac and turned it on for about a minute and a half. Now I don't have a stopped up AC drain. Couldn't be happier. Oh and by the way I got it one day shipping and it arrive before noon on Saturday so by 1 o'clock in the afternoon I was sitting watching the baseball game.

In S. Florida you need one of these. AC drains clog and can flood your AC or shut it down. This makes the job of sucking out the drain pipe incredibly easy as ithe PVC elbow slips inside the drain stub out. I have two wet vacs with different size hose and it works with both. Great invention. Well worth it.

Totally Sucks (in a good way)
When paired with your wet/dry vac, works like an absolute charm. Creates an airtight seal between the vac hose and your drain pipe, and lets your vac suck out every bit of that algae built up in your HVAC condensate drain. Quick and easy. The pipe in the middle is clear, which lets you see what's being removed from your drain pipe. After you've seen all the gook flow through, and it's run clear for a minute or two, you're all set. If you've experienced past problems in your AC drainage, all of that is over now. 3 minutes every other month or so, and you'll always be running free and clear.

am I glad I found Diyvac
Boy, am I glad I found Diyvac! I'd been having issues with the condensate/drain line from my A/C unit clogging, and did a quick search, which revealed a YouTube video demonstrating this product. It's as easy to use in real life as was shown in the video. You certainly cannot beat the price as compared to a service call from an HVAC repair shop. The product arrived on-time and in perfect shape, and worked just as expected. As one other customer noted, I had to use some duct tape to connect the small end to the PVC drain since my piping was also 1". But, once both pieces were taped together I connected the other end to my shop vac and let it run for 3-5 minutes, and voila! Would certainly recommend to anyone with similar problems.
