not a bad set for

Broke the 3/8 to 1/4 converter the second day using it, but you get what you pay for, not a bad set for $20 Edit: EPAuto saw my review on here, and sent me a replacement for the part I broke without me even requesting it. Great service and a really excellent product, especially for under $20.

Better than the usual "affordable" tools

Good cheap option to have around the house. Not professional grade, but better than most "cheap" tools. Probably won't hold up long with heavy everyday use, but will be fine for occasional work around the house.

Nevermind the case, it's loose but still good.

I was hesitated to order this set after negative feedback about the case, but actually the case turned out to be good if you just take care and open it the correct way, the first time I opened it, all the sockets fall out because it was flipped upside down! but actually I have another socket set that's really sticky and I don't like it for that specific reason, so just take care to lay it flat and everything will be good and stay in place, quality is good just finished my car brake job with it, can't complain about it with that price.

Good set of tools for basic repairs.

Good set of tools. I used them to change my spark plugs. I didn’t realize at the time that I needed a longer extension and a special deep socket with a rubber stopper to grip the spark plug. Easy fix though. I took this tool set, went up to O’Reilly’s Auto Parts, and told them I needed a 6” extension and 9/16 deep socket for spark plugs that would fit my set. Easy peasy. I will definitely keep this set for minor repairs like replacing my battery or ignition coils, which seem to go out often. I’ve replaced 2 out of 4 ignition coils so far. If I had known that I needed other tools in addition to this set then I would have purchased a larger or more cohesive set.

Very nice for the price.

These seem to be quite high quality tools, I bought then as a spare set to keep in the house. The sockets have a high gloss, very smooth chrome plating, and look like they're the "flank drive" design. The ratchet is well made, and very smooth and shiny. The mechanism has fine teeth, and isn't sloppy feeling. I only wish the set was available with a 1/4" drive ratchet instead of the 3/8" drive.

They worked for me.

I had to replace my own car battery for the first time in my life. I got my car to the auto store to get the battery & a jump start back home, but low & behold...I went to put the battery in & I didn't have a socket wrench. &^%$!!!!! Thankfully I had Amazon Prime & found this inexpensive set. Two days later & I just replaced my battery thanks to this socket set, and I didn't electrocute myself. I'd call this a WIN! I know nothing about tools, but they seem like nice solid pieces. I suspect I may have to put a rubber band around the case just to make sure it doesn't jiggle around in my trunk & open, but otherwise this set was perfect for me.

As good as the big named tool kits

Bought these as a Christmas gift for my son-in-law. He loves them. I asked him what I should rate them and he said a 5. He said they are very sturdy and well made. Although he hasn't used them a lot at this point, when he has used them he has said they are like using some of the more named brand tools. I know when I purchased them they were a very well priced kit and from their description seemed to be just as good as the bigger named brand tools. I would recommend this product.

Basic homeowner socket set...

Easy to carry. Easy to get to verses opening up my huge carry socket set. I use this for quick easy jobs and small repairs. 6 point is a little harder to use but very kind to the bolt heads. Less chance of stripping. Most all I have in sockets is 6 point. I was able to put a Stanley 1/4 drive ratchet and a couple 1/4 inch extensions in this set as an addition. Tight fit but the case still closes. This is a nice easy to get to socket set. You can't go wrong with this as a basic homeowner needing occasional hand tools for odd jobs around the house.
