GREAT COLLAR - Advice for "fitting"

Beautiful collar, nice engraving, quick customer service. I love the collar; it couldn't be nicer or of better quality. One thing I did wrong (not the seller's fault, but my own) is that my dogs neck size fell right between petite/small and small. I make an "executive decision" to get the smaller one so there would not be several inches of leftover leash, but I should have thought it through and gotten the larger one. So now, Roxanne can wear the petite/small and it fits here fine, but we have the collar on last hole and therefore, the name "Roxanne" comes up on the side of her neck rather than the top where everyone can see it. My advice is that IF your pup is right between sizes, go for the larger so that the name/design has a better chance of showing across the top of the dog's neck. You can always cut off the length if necessary. All this only if you care whether the name/design is on the top -- some folks may be happy that it is anywhere on the collar. This advice is for those of us who are a bit compulsive!

Such a great quality product that allows for me to not have to buy my dog any more tags after the many she has lost!

This is my second collar to purchase from custom catch, and they are both of such excellent quality and look so cute on my dogs! The leather is very good and thick, and the stitching has not come apart in the months that I have had the other collar. And my dogs are very playful and like to get dirty, so they are rough on collars! It is so refreshing to find such a good and dependable collar! And the best part is that is has their name and my phone number engraved in it, in a pretty color to make it even better. They both lost their tags in our yard on multiple occasions, so instead of having to try and find their tags or just buy them more (which can get very expensive after a while) their name and contact number is already on them. It is a great value. I am very happy with the purchase. I got a medium collar for my miniature blue heeler. It fits her perfect with room to go up or down. I also love how you can personalize the color of the collar, the font, and if you want to add hearts or paw prints. Very cute!

Don't hesitate! These collars are worth every penny!

After losing tags, licenses, and collars (plastic snap on), I took the advice from a friend to purchase buckle type collars with contact info imbedded on the collar itself. I did a substantial amount of research (several interned sites) before deciding on this collar. I have two 12-15 pound small Papillon mix rescues who have long hair. I would have preferred a reflective collar, but it wouldn't have worked with their fur. I bought a small and an extra small. They both worked. The extra small fit on the loosest notch,which still slid into the tag older fixture and the small on the last notch. I bought both blue and a pink with the 'Payful' script as one reviewer suggested. The engraving is beautifully executed. I worried the leather might be too stiff for their small necks, but it is supple and they seem to be comfortable after transitioning from a fabric collar. Something to consider: Instead of the pup's name, choose to put your name on the collar (as Pet Health Network, Mindful Pets, and other sites recommend). This makes it more difficult for a stranger to steal your beloved pet. I used "Call Mom" instead. Great value for this very reasonable price.

Nice and quick!

Love these collars. I couldn't believe how fast they shipped. I have a 15 pound rat terrier and a 14 pound terrier / long hair chihuahua mix. After reading reviews I ordered extra small for them. On My 14 pound mix the collar fits on the next to last hole. On my 15 pound rat terrier the collar fits on the very last hole. I wish I would've gotten small for him but the collar fits so I'm happy. The leather is of good quality, a little stiff. Overall it's a very nice collar.

Amazing Quality, Soft, AWESOME for my seizure-prone elderly pup. EXTREMELY IMPRESSED!!

I bought two, one for my Nikki and one for my brother's Athena. Nikki got a blue one with hearts, and Athena got a pink one with paw prints. Font on both was "Bonkers". I've referred many of my friends to these due to the quality and price. Several have since ordered their own. Update, 12/15/2018: I've had the collars for two years. They're still like new, very soft, no significant fading (a little, but less than I'd have expected). Both dogs wear them 24/7 with their boundary collars. No tearing like I see in some of the other pictures. They're very, very soft, moreso in the supple sense? They've aged nicely. I think this collar may outlive my chow chow, she's approaching eleven and is slowing down a lot. Wildly impressed still. Waiting on the poodle mentioned below; my litter date is next fall I think, and I'll most DEFINITELY be ordering two for him, so I can have one for him as a puppy and one when he's grown! Update, 12/25/17: The dogs have had their collars for a year now. They are worn 24/7. They still look new, the only fading is underneath the buckle bar on Athena's collar and it's not visible. They are super soft and the dogs LOVE them. No fading or chipping beyond that, and no wear around the buckle holes (aside from the natural stretch of the hole in use). I'm amazed at how well they've held up and cannot stop loving them. Nikki is fond of it since she isn't a fan of jingly tags, and seems to enjoy it. I've had no issues with it getting caught in her fur. Update, 6/13/17: Both dogs have had these for six months, wearing them 24/7 except for baths. Both collars show almost no sign of wear, despite frequent roughhousing. I was a bit surprised. The quality exceeds the price, by a long shot. The collars still look NEW if they get a quick wipedown. They arrived a bit hard, but what was I expecting? I ordered them in December. Within two days they softened right up and they are now very soft and supple. The quality is amazing, and the colored leather is still bright as ever, no fading/chipping, except for right under the buckle (which I expect and don't hold against the product whatsoever). I've been wanting to get a few more! (Original review below) Sizing: BETTER THAN EXPECTED. I was worried Nikki's might be too small (she is a rather small Border Collie/Chow Mix and I got her Medium) but she is on the second hole and it fits amazingly! Athena (a beagle/whippet/SOMETHING mix) is on the third and I had upsized her to Large because she was on the line (or so I thought) just in case, and hers fits her well. She is about 75 pounds, for reference. Appearance: Looks really amazing! The hardware is polished, the text readable*, the leather soft. *Text: Though Bonkers is readable, it is a tad less readable than I anticipated, but it still can be read! But if you have issues with reading odd fonts, go for a different font... It's probably not what I would choose again, which there WILL be an again, I am adopting my first Standard Poodle next year! Symbols: They are clean and pretty! Very nice touch. I used them to frame the dogs' names and our home phone number. Overall: Extremely impressed! Nikki doesn't like the collar tags jangling because it startles her at times, especially after a seizure (she has epilepsy). I thought this would be a great solution! She loves it already and she only got it 15 minutes ago! Bought these with LOW expectations, but I really mistook the quality. It's amazing! I didn't expect this level of quality for the price! Will be ordering again when my Poodle is born!

Awesome collars - very high quality!

My one doc has sensitive skin/allergies so I had to switch him to leather for his collar. After scouring the local pet stores and going through parts of listings here, I came across these collars. I had my doubts due to the really reasonable prices but figured it was worth a shot since the reviews seemed positive. I bought 2 collars (blue, red) and both are terrific! My dogs are big fans of rough-housing and playing the ever popular "does your head for on my mouth?" game (spoiler alert - the answer never changes!) Even with all the wrestling and bite-play these collars still look AWESOME! The blue kinda shows dirt a bit (as you can see in the picture), but they both wash up really well. When I was them, they look brand new. I get complemented on the collars regularly. They are very sturdy, but still flexible. The leather is rather thick, which may be too much for a little dog but is great for mine. The blue stands out really well against my darker dog. The red works okay for our white/brown dog, but his hair is also a bit long so often covers his name - if they ever made a longer option, I'll likely reorder his in a different color. I honestly expect these to last years though! Pros: beautiful colors, very clear engraving, FREE customization options, terrific customer service, VERY fast shipping, holding up very well to harsh play conditions. Cons: I wish there was one size larger! The largest one *just* fits my 125# dog. Also, engraving doesn't show up as well on the red due to closeness in shade from the brown leather underneath (see picture)

A Cute Custom Collar!

Just received my engraved collar today for my 110lb Cane Corso! We ordered the large of course and it just fits her with it latched on the last hole. I love the baby pink color and the heart accents on each side of her name, very feminine and cute! I can't speak much to the quality or durability of the collar as I've just received it. However, my first impression is that it seems fairly sturdy and well made. We'll have to see how it holds up over time, she isn't a dainty girl and certainly is tough on collars. For the price and customization factor of this collar I'd have to say I'm pretty pleased. And Karma looks adorable of course which was my #1 objective.

Finally!

Finally! I have been looking for a leather collar with some color, I have a black dog and didn't want the traditional black, brown or dark red leather collars. I got the light blue and it looks fantastic on him. This collar appears to be very nice and of good quality. The leather is soft and the detailing is appealing. I've only had it a week, so can't comment on its durability yet. I will be ordering another one, just to have on hand. The only issue I had was that my dogs neck measured 18 inches and that was right on the cusp between the medium and large, so I ordered the large because I didn't want it tight. Well, it was alittle too big, so we have a little more excessive on the end than we would like. I emailed company to say it would be helpful to also put collar length measurements in description, from buckle to end, so customers can make a better decision than just measuring the neck of the pet. I think you will be very happy with this collar. Would highly recommend. Update 7-6-18: I wanted a change in color so I ordered the yellow and it looks fantastic on my black dog! I love these collars, they wear well and are of good quality. Again, I highly recommend. I would like to ask company for more colors, such as fluorescent's or at least a lighter green and red.

I think these a awesome collars. I have ordered three. I ordered two originally, and the dog lost one, which we later found. But not before i ordered a second one. What I like about these is they are leather, well made, and all the pertinent information you need to locate your dog is printed directly on the collar. No jingly tags, and no tags to fall off which seems to be what our main problem has been. One, I don't like to listen to jingles on the collar and for some reason we can't keep a tag on the collar. This way no tag and frankly some tags cost as much as these collars do. I recommend this to everyone. I used the sizing chart and the collars fit perfectly for my smaller dog and my bigger dog. Just use a tape measure to measure the circumference of their neck and choose from the chart. They arrive pretty quickly.

I am a very happy customer

Both my boyfriend and I bought collars for our dogs. Harlee is a 54 lbs Blue Heeler and Chloe is a 46 lb Amstaff mix (we think - she is a rescue). They were always wrestling so we were afraid of choking so we bought breakaway collars and was always finding them in the yard , sometimes chewed up. We stopped putting collars on them but were always afraid somehow they would get away and not have identification. So when I saw these, I decided to try them. We bought medium collars and they fit well. Harlee, even though she is the bigger dog, has a smaller neck at 16 inches. Chloe has a lot of loose skin around her neck and measures 17 inches. Her collar is on the last hole and Harlees in on the second to last, so I would say the measurements are true to size. I think we could have gone large as well, and had more holes but I like the tight fit for less chance of choking. I have one pic to show the size of our dogs and then pics of their necks and how the collars fit. We have had the collars on for over a week and have had no problems with them being pulled loose. No more annoying dangling of the metal id tag against their stainless steel bowls. They look great. The colors are bright and the lettering is clear The quality is A+. Customer service is awesome. I got an email asking if I wanted anything changed. I had decided I wanted hearts instead of paw prints but figured I would just let it go. Since I got an email, I asked if they could do the change great,but if not, that was ok too. As you can see, they made the change. I highly recommend these collars.
