I really can't say enough about what a savior this phone is for my family. If someone in your family is hearing impaired and has trouble with phone conversations, you should absolutely consider buying this phone. Prior to buying this phone, having a conversation with my 92-year old grandmother was a task fit to be a labor of Hercules. She is extremely hard of hearing and wears hearing aids. Often conversations consisted of screaming the same statements over and over and/or having her talk over me, not hearing that I was mid-story. In short, conversations were extremely frustrating. In an effort to correct this issue, I read several reviews and decided to purchase the panasonic phone for her. Now it's like talking to a whole new person! At the beginning of a call she often asks us to wait so she can turn the phone down and take her hearing aids out! Can you believe it?!? This is in stark contrast to before when she had her hearing aids in and the phone on full blast, but still could barely hear us. In addition, she is able to slow down the speed of conversations she has with my cousin, who is an extremely fast talker. This phone is an amazing gift for hearing impaired people and for my family it is simply priceless. Since we live thousands of miles away from my grandmother, phone conversations are very important. Now, thanks to the amazing technology of this phone, we can have these conversations with ease. For that, I give my highest recommendation.

I bought this hearing amplified phone because my Clarity phone stopped working after 6 years. I am so glad I chose this Panasonic with one extension. Whereas I suffered with the Clarity as each time a call came in I had to quickly adjust the sound, this Panasonic stays programmed. I just pick up the phone and talk as if it is a regular phone. The Panasonic also has additional options such as a program to make the speech slower. I can now hear the other person talking as if I had 'normal hearing. What a relief! A great burden has been lifted and I can't believe that I had to suffer those years of not hearing a full conversation with the Clarity. I highly recommend this Panasonic for anyone with hearing loss.

I love this phone. Its everything you would want in a phone. I can actually block unwanted callers by pressing a button, instead of having to call a number, go through prompts, etc. The clarity is great as well. This was a really good purchase.

I love this phone!! I hear voices clearly. The ringer is nice and loud. It has a outlet for my earphones, which I use often. The receiver has a nice feel to it. The screen is real bright and easy to read, unlike other phones where you can barely read the CID. The display of date and time is very readable too. Plus the red light is bright and flashes when there's an incoming call and when you have a message. All in all, I think this is my best phone ever; and I'm in my seventies!

This has been a miracle for my parents...my mother loves how it can block unwanted phone calls...my father like the loud rings, which can also be adjusted...they both love how you can slow down the people talking to you them with a volume controller..yes, you can actually adjust the speed when people are talking to them...thus giving them time to understand the caller...and the caller doesn't even recognize the change in the conversation. They both love how when a call comes in it will call out very loud the name who is calling...however, if it is an unknown caller no name will be called out, which is even better for my parents because they know that's one unwanted scammer or teller marketer they can block and also not rush to answer the phone, if its a friend with no ID caller they will wait and listen to the answering machine then decide - if they block someone by mistake they can easily unblock them. This gives me some ease knowing they are not afraid to pick up the phone for fear of not understanding the caller, or not hearing the phone, or now blocking those teller marketers...I would highly recommend this phone as their son and both of my parents wanted me to make sure I also would say from them that they would recommend it as well to people like themselves over the age of 70 years young.

High-quality product, as with all Panasonic telephones. East setup. Purchased for an in-law who is technically challenged. As a result, I enjoyed the fact that I was able to reprogram the telephone with the Auto Boost enabled, as well as a set value for Tone. The phone works better than we could have dreamed. Allows the user to become re-engaged with family members since hearing loss is not only a physical, but also an emotional disability. Well worth the price. Lastly, was glad to have purchased the 50db model. Have it auto set to 40db, but, the phone has years of usefulness and is ready to be stepped-up should their hearing become worse.

I got this for my mom, who is 90 and losing some hearing. I didn't even like talking on the phone to her anymore because it was so frustrating to repeat or have her not understand what I was saying. This phone has helped immensely. The hearing is so much better for her. The loud ringer and announcement of the phone number is helpful. The announcement is a little hard to understand because the recording speaks so quickly, but they do repeat it. She is so used to looking at the screen to see who's calling, but I think she's getting used to this. She does not know how to use her cell phone and hasn't been receptive to learning or even trying. The backup battery for power outages is a nice peace of mind to know she can use it if the power goes out.

My mom was prescribed hearing aids but won't always wear them. We've tried giving her various types of phones, most of which were advertised as made for hard of hearing people with limited success. So far this Panasonic is the best one we've found. I set it to auto boost the sound and auto answer when the handset is lifted and my mom will actually use it. I also like the loud ringer and how it also brightly flashes red when it rings. I made only a couple of setting changes for hers but I noticed in the manual that it was highly configurable.

I purchased this phone in January because I have moderate to severe hearing loss and had a hard time understanding people on a regular phone. When I first used it I still wasn't hearing conversations that well so I tried adjusting the tone to a higher pitch/tone with the Tone button on the side of the handset and that helped a GREAT deal. There are 6 settings/tones and the phone will stay at the tone you choose unless you need to adjust it while talking to someone. People with hearing loss lose the ability to hear the higher pitches/tones and these are needed to understand speech better. The clarity is good with this phone. Another good feature that helps a lot if needed is the Slow Talk button. It slows the speech of the caller just enough to understand better. I was quite surprised and delighted when I first used it. I haven't needed to use the Volume Booster button because the Volume buttons on the side of the handset are usually enough for me. Using the Speakerphone also is a good way to hear the caller louder. I love the Call Block feature. It really helps with the Robo calls. As well as blocking people's numbers you can block a series of numbers such just an area code, which I have done with great results, and you can block No Number/ No Name calls. The adjustments and features were not difficult at all and I am a senior. I like too that the phone announces the name of the caller. I am very grateful for a phone with these features.

I purchased this additional cordless phone to go with the Panasonic base amplified cordless phone KX-TGM450S. I have a moderate hearing loss and need an amplified phone, even with my behind the ear hearing aids. This has a button that gives a 50 db boost and it helps me to hear on the phone better. I keep the base set in the kitchen and this one in the bedroom. Works fine. I like that it has a clip on it so that you can clip it onto your waistband. I can take the phone with me on the patio or the yard and answer calls from there. As a person with a moderate hearing loss, it gives me more confidence when I make a call, that I won't have problems hearing.
