So many of these types of products are so cheaply made, you can literally tell that no thought went into designing the product. NOT SO with this one. very high quality feel, perfect fit to the 2.5HDD. Brilliant idea to leave the top exposed for heat dissipation. The cooling fins are cool looking too. Will buy a tleast two more

I bought one of these (with a Samsung EVO SSD) to replace a 3.5 inch HDD in my gaming system. The case only provided mounts for 3.5 in drives, and this fit like a glove. The SSD fit perfectly inside the tray area, and the material keeps the drive cool (plus it looks very cool!). Excellent construction. Now bought another for my other system!

This is a really solid well made HDD Caddy and it was a perfect fit with my new SSD and also a perfect fit in the Lenovo All-in-One Desktop. I am using it with an SSD so I am not concerned with overheating. Thus is a really good product that is a great fit in my desktop and I am very pleased with it.

I used to replace my 3.5 SATA Hard Drive with a 2.5 SATA Solid State Drive. This cheap little case made the job very easy yet solid! It was for my all in one Lenovo desktop PC. I tried other case and adaptors and none of them were the right fit until this. The case is built solid synthetic material and came with all necessary screws that came very handy. I would highly recommend this product for those making similar changes to their PC.

I have several exactly similar adapters made out of aluminum, 3X the cost. When screwed into my server trays, the geometry of placement of the external SATA connector is exactly right, allowing me to position a 2.5" spinning disk drive or SSD inside it and have the external SATA connector line up with where the tray plugs into the computer. Most importantly, the plastic material is perfectly adequate for heat dissipation of an SSD inside the server. No need for aluminum to accomplish the heat transfer. I had no issues with mounting a 2.5" drive into the adapter, the screws provided are exactly right. Beautifully packaged too!

As far as I can tell, this item (the "ORICO 2.5 to 3.5 Hard Drive Adapter HDD SSD Mounting Bracket Tray...blah, blah, blah" works as it is designed. I really can't speak to any cooling (or lack thereof) that it does. I bring this up b/c it's designed to look, at least, like a heat spreader. The drive that I stuck in it doesn't get particularly hot but, to be fair, I have't run that drive for several hours and then touched it to see how hot it got. That said, the drive fits snugly inside this tray and the tray fits as it should inside my case. I haven't gotten any weird error messages or had any incompatibility issues since installing this tray. This plus the fact that it's reasonably priced makes it a good buy in my book.

I only have two extra slots for quick eject drives and both 3.5 sized. But with this bracket/adapter, I was able to install my 2.5 SSD onto the adapter, and quickly slide it into the drive bay and have it running instantly. The next time I buy another SSD, I will be sure to buy another one of these adapters. Great product... Fits great and gets the job done.

I admittedly did not read the description before purchasing, so the only "gotcha" was that it's made of plastic - I was expecting something along the lines of aluminum. That's my fault, I expected that the cutouts on the sides were actually fins for a heatsink type application. That being said, the product is sturdy despite the material. It comes with all the necessary mounting hardware, and I didn't have any issues fitting the SSD into the adapter, or the adapter into the hot swap tray in my workstation. I'll be needing a second adapter in the future, and would not hesitate to buy this one again.

The purpose of these is to convert a 2.5" SSD into the form factor of a 3.5" hard drive, and for this functionality, it works perfectly. Yes, they are plastic, but once you have a hard drive installed, how much jostling around in a computer will there be? They have vents for airflow, metal connectors seated into the plastic for strength when installed. The SATA connectors fit exactly where the SATA connectors on a 3.5" drive fit. I'm very impressed by these. We have removable drive trays for our nightly backups, and I didn't know these existed until I wanted to upgrade my backup hard drives to SSD. Five stars.

I have a 5 bay Orico 3.5 external drive enclosure USB 3.0 and I wanted to move my old 256gb SSD drives into two of the hot swappable drive bays, these drive adapters make the 2.5 SSD drives fit and function like 3.5 standard hard drives, the doors on the drive enclosure have the function of pushing the drive out when opened and pushing it in when closed so the installed drive needs to be the same shape to preform this function these drive adapters accomplish that.
