If you have ever installed the cheapie plastic retrofits you will be thrilled with these. All metal, great quality, and you won't need eye protection because the springs won't put your eye out or fly away never to be found again. These are the Maxxima warm white 750 lumens and were installed at about 16 feet from the floor in a vaulted ceiling and are plenty bright so I am using a dimmer. The reason I bought the rotatable retrofits is to face the light down to the floor. I recently installed retrofits that were not rotatable and they were too bright and distracting if pointing at a 45 degree angle in the vaulted ceiling, even when dimmed.

Perfect to convert a recessed can light to a swivel bulb

Took 5 minutes to install, sits flush with drop ceiling and works perfectly. Bright enough to illuminate the dart board in our rec-room from 4 feet away, can swivel in any direction and matches the original can light trim. Did not need the dimming feature.

Spin, tilt, dimmable, soft white what else do you need?

Super bright and super adjustable. These were very easy to install and adjust. I was very happy to be able to spin the light and then tilt it to my desire.

Exactly what I needed!

I spent a lot of time looking for replacement lights for my angled cathedral ceiling. A lot of LEDs had an odd tint to it, even those advertised as being 2700K in color. I was a bit nervous about the 750 lumens as I had 6 lights in total using 120w halogen lights, but these turned out to be perfect. Another reviewer posted that the light color is a lot more yellow, they would be correct. I was nervous it would look like fog lights on a car, but they're not quite yellow itself, but more natural looking - more halogen looking than most LEDs. I have them connected to a Lutron occupancy/vacancy dimmer switch with additional multi-way switches and they work together flawlessly.

Bright light that also dims to about 20%!

Great replacement fixtures. Very easy to install. Very bright light. I tested 5 different products and liked this the best. I choose 2700K which is a slightly warmer light. Still not as warm as an incandescent bulb. I wish it dimmed to a more yellow glow, but that is the problem with LED lights. Nevertheless, I thought this exact model was the best in this class of product. I changed out my entire home. Takes about 5 minutes per fixture to change out. In some cases I was changing out old housings that had yellowed. This fixture provides a very clean look. It has been 2 months and every unit is still working fine!

Fit perfectly and look great!

This can light retrofit was really easy to install. By "install", I mean if you can screw in a lightbulb, you can definitely replace your old can lighting. We did had to remove the sleeve for old lighting, because the new casing didn't fit flush against the ceiling. Once that was out, it fit perfectly and looks so much better than what we had up there. I would highly recommend buying this fixture. It rotates perfectly and the light is such a nice crisp color. They are very bright. So, if you're looking for something that's a little more subtle I would suggest putting a dimming switch on it. My photo shows the before on the left and the after replacement on the right.

Look good, work well, and are visually compatible with existing Cree LED can lights

I replaced the ugly bug-eye incan floodlights with these. Price was right and having directional light was necessary for wall-washing lights and stair can lights. If I had to do the design, I would have made the rotating housing a half-sphere, which would have been more elegant when the light is angled. Nonetheless, these work well and look very compatible with the Cree LED can lights that are nearby.

Perfect Lighting Update

I bought these lights to replace 4 eyeball lights on our cathedral ceiling. I worried that they would be dim (got the warm white 2700 version) but the are perfect. I like the metal housing and easy screw in feature. It really updated our lighting from 1994.

They are the perfect amount of brightness for above my fireplace

After reading some of the reviews I was scared that these would be really dim. They are the perfect amount of brightness for above my fireplace. I installed them on a dimmer. They are not dim at all. The 2700 K color is cooler then a normal incandescent and that was exactly what I wanted. I wavered between the 2700 K and the 4000 because I wanted a little cooler light then incandescent. I am very happy that I stuck with the 2700 K. The only thing is that at full tilt, you can see up into the can. Mine are installed on just a slight tilt. I'm very happy with the product for the price.
