This installed quite easily and I love how it tells the amperage while a load is in use. Wired up my 12v led lights and radio for my enclosed car trailer.

A Good Buy

Good product but why the connections in front. Yes, you can use your voltmeter easily but it just doesn't look clean in my RV. This is the second one I purchased. First one replaced a unit that failed. I bought this and our so!ar system never worked this well. We sold this trailer to my brother and bought another 23' trailer, 7 years newer. Ordered this controller based on the others performance! I've also bought and installed a solar system for our 36' 5th wheel so I'm not a rookie. Glad to see solar prices come down😃

Fantastic. I love seeing how many amps are actually coming into the system. I find it much more useful than volts in like most controllers. You can actually compare amps in vs amps out & see what's going on. It was easy to install & is suiting my needs perfectly thus far.

Works well, USB ports 2.4a each.

I just hooked this up and tested it. The USB ports provide 2.4amps each and stayed within spec. I did not test both ports at the same time, I tested them separately. So far it works well. You must turn on the power button to power the output screw terminals, which I hooked to a 12v adapter. The screen does not turn off but it should not use much power.

Just What I Needed

The controller died in our RV so I ordered this one based on the reviews and the price. HAPPY I did! Easy installation and appears to be a quality unit. The display is easy to read day or night. The USB ports are a great feature in this digital age of cel phones and other devices that need charging. The 12v ports will come in handy and two compatible 12v male plugs were included to wire up devices as needed.

Solid value at this price

Received it very quickly. Packaging was sufficient - no damage. I was replacing another device and this one installed flawlessly in no time. My old device did not have a display and was slightly cheaper. Having the battery voltage and charging current is great very useful. The USB ports are excellent because I have an Amcrest IP WiFi security camera at the greenhouse where I have the solar panel and I am able to power the camera directly off the USB plus charge my cell phone. It's a nice unit and seems to be doing the job. I will probably buy another to replace another unit on my property.

Purchased this slightly more expensive controller after struggling with a less expensive unit that either was defective or too confusing to decipher. Thank you Amazon for your seamless return process take back the defective/cryptic cheaper controller On day 1 this controller works as expected. Connected to my new 100w solar panel also purchased from Amazon. HQST 100 Watt 12 Volt Polycrystalline Solar Panel. So far so good. 1. Has an On/Off switch which is a simple but nice feature that a lower priced controller lacked. 2. Test charged my 12v motorcycle battery. Planned main use is to charge my camping trailer's Marine type 12v battery. 3. Tested the "load" feature with a 12v automotive light bulb, lit as expected and indicated current draw to light the bulb in amps. 4. Also tested charging my phone, worked as expected too. 5. LCD display is intuitive and indicates battery being charged voltage and the charging current in amps. The 8 page manual is clearly authored by someone whose 1st language is not English. If you overlook missing prepositions and indifference to singular/plural conventions it is understandable and helpful. It contains graphic representations of the LCD panel to illustrate various functionality.

Critical Component Workhorse

This solar charge controller is engineering absolute. It is thoughtfully made. It is a workhorse. It can take the heat. It has many capabilities. It is constantly informative as to the state of your equipment at any given time. I always know what my usage is in real time. It took time to give a review. Bought my first one almost 4 months ago. For what I am doing the controller is of the utmost critical importance. This unit more than fit the bill.

Just what I needed

I needed a simple plug and play solar controller and this one has been working perfectly since day one. Easy to connect all the wires, mounting was as simple and all connections well described. At night, the light from display is enough to be seen, but does not act like a night light, Temperature shows the current condition of where the controller is mounted, and only in Celsius, being in the USA, going to need a little conversion chart or something. My set up, 100 Watt solar panel, two 6v 235 AH batteries, wired in series for 12v, with a 1000W Pure Sine Wave Power Inverter. Enough to run my TV, lights, fans, and coffee maker.

Great product for the price!

Have 1 100 watt grape solar panel on it currently, along with 4 12volt cfl lights in shed. Working well, maintains voltages exceptionally well. Like being able to see Amps in from solar and current voltage of battery and amp draw on my lighting circuit. Will update as I am adding the other 3 batteries in parallel and getting 1 more 100 watt panel.
