Great little steamer

I would buy this again. Pros: Easy to fill. Quick to heat up and use. Convenient (because it's not big). Great value for the price. I've used it for extended periods of time when I'm blocking my crochet afghans and it's worked perfectly. Cons: (This is a minor complaint) To steam, you continuously hold down the button/lever and the steam comes out. The problem is if you have a large thing to steam like I do (blankets that I've crocheted), then holding the button/lever down while steaming is very tiring on your finger. It would be nice if you could somehow lock the button/lever into the steam position. But perhaps this is a built-in fail safe mode so that you don't accidentally leave the button on the "steam" position. But really this is a minor complaint. What I do is get a rubber band and put over the button/lever and then I have continuous steam without having to hold down the button.

Great little steamer

I was looking for a new steamer to replace a different brand that started to leak. After reading the reviews I decided to purchase this one. I am thrilled with the purchase. First its ready to use within seconds. The water tank is easy to remove and fill. It holds steam long enough to do numerous items. The steam flow is stronger than the other one I had. The rotating cord is another plus. One of the features that's different from my previous steamer is the trigger for the steam. The older one constantly created steam which was challenging and I had to be careful where I placed it. With the Secura you control the flow of the steam by using the trigger. All in all its a great item.

I will very rarely iron again!

This steamer is definitely larger than I expected but after using it, I don't care. It's a great steamer. Easy to fill, quick to heat, and does a great job on all types of fabrics. I even used it on a jean jacket in a pinch and it did a pretty great job even on that heavy material. Since getting it, the only thing I have used an iron on was work pants that need pressing to keep the pleats in them. The only thing I would not recommend this for is travel. To me it's too big and heavy since I like to travel light. I plan on ordering a smaller model for that purpose. Overall, would definitely recommend.

I got the steamer for a photo shoot that but then didn't need I after all and decided to keep it for the future use. I had to go on travel and when I came back, I needed the steamer, opened the package and upon reading the manual I found out that he cleaning bush was missing. I was upset because part of me choosing this model was for the brush. To clean Studio wadobe between clients. I still leveled to steam my own personal shirt and I was impressed. That night I steamed 3 items and cold have go on to many more because it was doing such a good job but it was Hering late. I emailed the seller/company hat night and told them about not finding a brush in my box and that my return window is closed but I really needed the brush and they emailed me next day asking for my address so they can send me the brush attachment. I am impressed by this small garment steam gadget and very much so by the company costumer sevice! I go the brush attachment today after emailing them 3 days ago. Thank you This is not a super power steamer but it is a very good one. You can burn yourself with the steam, so be careful. It does take a few seconds until the full steam comes out but when it does, if you do it right, your clothes will look awesome. I am posting of my most wrinkled shirt I did that first night as example

So Glad to Have This

Whether it's to clean upholstery, do a quick once over on my wrinkly clothes, or anything in between, this little sucker comes in handy more often than not. LOL I didn't even know I could clean my couches until I bought this to steam my gowns and did further research. I love that the "just add water" approach is the only thing necessary to make this magic happen, too. If I didn't know better, if think this was witchcraft, LOL.... Wonderful... Witchcraft :P

Perfect!

This checks all the boxes! Not continuous steam means longer usage---cool water storage so no cool-down time for adding more water---1000 watts and almost instant steam---brush included---inexpensive purchase price doesn't reflect quality. I most highly recommend this product.

Worked amazing on drapes!

This little machine is amazing! Pulled it out of the box immediately after receiving and used to remove wrinkles from new curtains. This little steamer does magic! I researched a number of the handheld options and chose this one as it has one of the larger water reservoirs. Steamer heats up almost immediately but does not emit steam until you hold the button. I did not have any problems with sputtering water. Per suggestions from other reviewers I did the following: 1. Do not overfill (there is a "Max" line on the blue water tank), 2. Steam "through" the fabric, e.g. hold the nozzle upright and directly against the fabric so the steam goes through it (I did not use the brush attachment). I used the steamer on hanging drapes. The wrinkles came out wonderfully on our white dupioni drapes. I tested the steam on an inconspicuous area of fabric first to ensure it did not damage the fabric. I also used it on white cotton curtains and this required more steam but worked well on these too. 3. Refill before completely empty. Very happy with this steamer.

Why did I wait so long??

I've never had a steamer, and in retrospect, I'm not sure why. I recently ordered new drapes and figured they'd be creased when I got them. Since I recently had knee replacement surgery I knew crawling on the floor to press them wasn't an option. After researching several options and reading reviews I decided to try my first steamer, the Secura. I'm so glad I did. That little steamer did a great job. Easy to use, water lasted a long time, and got every crease out of my drapes. I know with summer approaching I'll be using it often for my light-weight clothes. My new best friend 😉.

Surprisingly pleased with this

There are a ton of small fabric steamers like this available on Amazon, but most of them have a lot of bad reviews mixed in with the good. They also all look pretty much the same. Then I saw this one with better reviews than the rest and a different design for $20, so I figured I'd give it a shot. I'm not entirely sure what to expect from a fabric steamer, but I'm happy with it so far, and what I can say is that it's built well and is intuitive. The two parts parts about this are the trigger to control the steam while it's on (instead of just a switch to turn the whole thing on or off) and the water compartment that is removable while it's plugged in. It holds a lot of water as it is, but being able to release steam only when you want it is fantastic. And if you do run out, you can remove the compartment and refill it with water without turning the steamer off. It really does heat up in under a minute. When you first press the trigger after it's heated up, it takes a few seconds to start making steam, but then it's pretty quick after that every time you press the trigger. It puts out a fair amount of steam and only splatters a few drops of water very occasionally. The brush is sturdy, but I don't see much use for it. Use a lint roller if your clothes need brushing. All this will do is push the fuzz around on the fabric as you steam. I'm a guy. I care about looking decent on a daily basis, but I don't dress up much or own an iron. My clothes do get wrinkly more than I'd like sometimes, so I figured I should at least do something. This steamer seems to serve my purposes well.

Why iron?

I moved recently and no longer have the nice built-in ironing board I had in my old place. Was considering replacing it but a friend mentioned she only uses this steamer, that she hasn't actually ironed anything in years. What? Blasphemy! Who doesn't iron?! Well, apparently, almost no one anymore! So I ordered and tried it out. Gotta say, the hardest part of using this is finding a place to hang up the clothes to actually do the steaming - you don't want it laying on something that the steam itself could harm. I inevitably end up hanging the item on the door hinge, which seems to work. I am quite impressed with this unit, it has taken out wrinkles on a single pass from even jeans I've had bunched up in a corner. Because it only takes a single pass it's also fast. I don't travel much, but dinged one star off it for "travel friendliness" just because it's not exactly small - it would take up about the same space in a suitcase that an iron would.
