Excellent for my needs!
Everything I need. If you're looking for hydraulic and bulky, this ain't it. If you're lifting to clean, adjust wheel alignment or general whatnotness, this is your lift. Crank mechanism is small but I just use a 22mm socket on extension and I'm in the air. I knew I'd use the socket going in as well as having to use shim blocks because of the oil pan design on my 750 shadow ACE.

TWO YEAR LOVE AFFAIR
I recently bought one for a friend, because mine has proven so useful. I bought my own back in July 2018. Upon arrival I immediately extended it fully so I could apply a thin film of axle grease to every point of friction or wear. I keep it well greased, too. > My heaviest bike is about 675 lbs., so that's the heaviest load I've lifted. A hi-torque drill motor will power it pretty well, as will a hand-held wrench. > I've also used it in other ways around the home, and it's never let me down. This is certainly one of the best tool buys I've ever made. > According to a study by the Institute of Incomplete Information, 9 out of every 10 people

I like this
First when you open the box be sure and find the crank handle. I nearly threw the box out as the handle is wrapped up and not really noticeable in all the packing. Otherwise i like it a lot. It seems to be a sturdy unit. One issue is if you have a drain screw located under the motor you will not be able to access it if you use this for changing oil. Mine is on the side so it is not an issue. I would buy this again.

Worked great with my 1987 Heritage Softail
Worked great with my 1987 Heritage Softail! I used a ratchet and socket which is much easier, lifted the bike easily and safely so I could work on the front forks and wheel! I like the low height when it is closed which makes it easy to get under my low bike. That is the main reason I went with a scissor jack versus a hydraulic version on wheels - too high to get under. I didn't lift it very high but it seemed very study and the bike was planted on the jack.

Good product. Works well.
Works well. I use it to jack up my Harley Street Glide (about 800 lbs) while elevated on my motorcycle lift. It can be used fine on the ground/floor also. I added grease to the screw just in case.

Bolt sheared off on second use! Great seller....replaced it!
Revised 12/14/20: I sent an email to the seller and after he determined that it was a defective, sent me a brand new one. It arrived within a few days. Very good seller! On this second one, I am not going to use the torque gun to raise and lower the jack. That may have a little too much torque. Bolt sheared off on second use! I purchased this unit on September 23. It worked as advertised to lift my my Harley road king. I was happy with the sturdiness and compactness of it. Last night when I pulled it out to lift the bike to change out my shocks, the bolt sheared off! Luckily the bike was barely off of the ground and did not fall over. I contacted the seller but haven’t heard from him so I contacted Amazon. They are able to refund me the money minus a restocking fee. I lost 20 dollars in the transaction for one time use. I went out last night and bought a heavy duty motor cycle lift from harbor freight. It is bigger and heavier and bulky but I feel better knowing that it won’t give out on me in the middle of a lift!! Good luck with your choice.

Smooth, quality lift. Great for dual sports!
I read A LOT of reviews about various scissor and hydraulic lifts for motorcycles; having a bike fall would not only make me very angry about damage to the bike, it might also hurt. Bleeding isn’t so bad of you know it’s just a flesh wound but being crushed to death or catching a handlebar thru the body just doesn’t seem like a good time to me. Anyway, read tons of reviews trying to find the PERFECT lift, no matter what the price tag. My dear old dad used to say it’s better to pay for quality once than have to replace junk. Or something like that...I didn’t listen well as a child. Anyway, onto this review. Why I bought this one: There’s no perfect lift out there. Every single one has negative reviews and complaints, even when you look at the $500 and $1500 lifts. This one had the lift height I wanted for getting Rally bike wheels off the ground, the rubber mat to help prevent slipping, and it’s wide enough to catch both frame rails underneath with room to spare. In addition, the price is one of the lowest, shipping among the fastest, and has a high percentage of positive reviews NOT written by people who were obviously paid and think Google Translate will make us believe their review...go figure. My experience: Arrived FAST. Like within 36 hrs of me clicking “buy” and I live in the midst of nowhere, Texas. All my neighbors are cows, bobcats, coyotes and trees. We get along great. Others have said their lift arrived with broken parts, loose bolts, stiff mechanisms, etc. so right out of the box I started looking for anything loose or broken. Found nothing. I then functioned it fully up/down and it moved very smoothly, Altho I did go ahead and grease the center power screw anyway just to make myself feel important. I’ve used the lift several times on different dual sport bikes and I’m very pleased. No more wobbly than you would reasonably expect for having a motorcycle balanced on its belly instead of resting on its tires, and plenty stable enough that I left it sitting on the stand several days because I couldn’t finish up immediately. Zero problems. Even with the bike on top it operates smoothly and never felt like it was struggling or overloaded. I’m happy. Things to note: I’m using this with dual sport bikes, meaning they weigh less than 400 lbs. if you try putting your chrome-bedazzled 1200 lb cruiser on it, yes, it’s going to require a lot more effort to raise the lift and it’ll probably feel less stable. That’s not the lift, that’s physics. I would absolutely buy this again.

1972 Yamaha CT 2
The jack works as advertised - it easily lifts the old CT 2. In order to use it I placed a a couple of pieces of 2 X 4 across the top of the jack that actually held the bike. (The underside of the bike is not 'uniform' and it doesn't sit on the jack in a more-or-less stable fashion.) If you've got a heavy bike I'd strongly urge you to have someone hold the bike as it's jacked up. In the case of the CT 2, it's light enough to be a one-person operation. I needed the jack in order to get a tire change going. I couldn't remove both wheels in one shot due to balance issues so I had to reposition the to do the front and then the back tire. Otherwise, it works fine.

Worked great
I bought this jack because I liked that it would close up and not take up an bunch of space. I used it to lift up a 750lb cruiser for a suspension upgrade and rear tire replacement. The jack held the bike up for over a week without any issues at all. I greased up the threads first to help keep them moving smoothly. For the money, I really like this jack. I tried to use a cordless drill to raise the jack without much luck. But a 1/2" ratchet with an extension worked way better than the included handle. I didn't have any issues with stability and needed to raise and lower several times during installation. As a bonus, it slides under my tool cabinet without taking up any extra space.

Great for getting one end or the other off of the ground.
I will start by saying that if you want a lift to get the whole bike off of the ground there are better options. This lift is great for lifting one end or the other off of the ground, and even with a very heavy bike will mean it is only lifting about 1/2 the weight of the bike. Just position the lift toward the back or front of the frame to lift the end you want to work on. It is also great to just level the bike with both tires still on the ground for working on things like lights, exhaust, etc. My Triumph cruiser is about 600# and it is very easy to lift either end with very little force using the original little wrench. A very important step before anything when you first get it is to grease the lift screw, lift screw bolt, pivots, tracking wheels--everything. It is in plain well-translated English in the instructions that it must be lubricated. NO WD-40--it is worthless for this type of lubrication. I have seen many pictures posted of broken lifts, but have yet to see one with grease on it.
