Perfect set!
Just started teaching myself lettering 2 days ago with fine tip sharpies. I got this set and another brand...this set is a lot nicer. The markers, especially the brush ones seem like they can handle the harder downward strokes better than the other set I got. I didn't realize one of the markers is grey, so that was a bonus, on top of teaching myself lettering/calligraphy I already started with blending colors too!

Great Set
This is a great starter kit. You get so much more than it appears, too. You get two DualBrush pens. One light grey. One black. (Each dualbrush pen has one side that is a brush and the other side is a felt tip marker.) Then you get a smaller dual sided pen with a 0.8mm side and a 0.4mm side. The calligraphy pen is like a smaller version of the brush pen. It only has one side. It also comes with an unsharpened 4H drawing pencil (very hard, not dark lines, perfect for sketching under something) and a white plastic eraser. So, even though it is a 6 piece set, you really get 9 individually usable things because of the double sided pens. It also comes with a basic instruction pamphlet for hand lettering, which is good, but not comprehensive or anything. But a great beginner set or even beyond beginner. And a great trial into Tombow Brush Pens without committing to a bunch of them.

Beyond thrilled!!!!!
I haven’t done calligraphy since the 90’s. Just got away from it. I found these Tombow products on Amazon. I cannot believe the quality of these pens. They write so smoothly and no skipping. I’m going to search Tombow for more of their products. I bought Super Simple Hand Lettering by Kiley Bennett also. So many examples to try. My beginning practice is thrilling me. Super great pens and starter book. You will be thrilled with both!

Amazing
They are amazing. I wish I bought them with one of the palettes. ( a palette is just like the two big dual brushes, except they come in color sets about 14-20 dollars. They are costly, but if you are thinking about it there are 8 pieces on the beginner set and each is 2 dollars that make 16 dollars when the set is actually PRESENTLY $13.31. I do not recommend getting the advanced set because you can get one whole 10-brush Tombow palette with that money. What I do recommend is to buy a beginner set and a palette so you have everything. Thank you and ENJOY YOUR TOMBOW!!!

Great for Wedding Invitations!
These pens are great!! I bought this set to address my wedding invitations and I love them! I ended up using the blue pen (hard brush tip) for the invites because the larger brush pen was just a bit to thick. The eraser works like magic!! I used pencil guidelines for all of the writing and they came off without a trace using the eraser. I also used the double sided felt tip pen (small end) to write the addresses beneath. I will say that even the fine tip is a little thick, kind of like one of Sharpie's fine tip markers. Overall, a great set!

Great set!
Great set! It comes with a handy beginner's guide, but beware if you're using a bullet journal (or anything other than a sketchbook or watercolor notebook), it comes with a permanent marker and will bleed in your journal. I don't mind, though, because I can just use it to write in top of my washi tape. Very happy with my purchase and it arrived just in time!

I am getting into hand lettering and I am obsessed ...
I am getting into hand lettering and I am obsessed with this kit. It even comes with a "lettering for beginners' guide on strokes.

Awesome for a beginner!
This Tombow set is all one needs to get started learning brush lettering. First, I compared less popular brands of brush pens to Tombow pens. The Tombow pens wrote smoothly and the color was rich. This set offered the most options for finding my groove with pressure as a complete starter kit. I was able to test the firmness of both types of brush pens with the least investment. The pencil for lightly sketching and the eraser are added bonuses. There is even a cute little guild sheet and directions obtaining for practice sheets included. It's a great set and I learned Tombow will be my favorite brush pens from now on.

I am thoroughly satisfied with this purchase
I was a little hesitant to buy a "packaged" deal of pens but realized many of the pens I wanted to experiment were included so I gave it a go. I am thoroughly satisfied with this purchase! I've used the Tom Dual pens many times but this pack introduced me to the Fudenosuke which is perfect for more precise or smaller scale lettering. I highly recommend this set if you are wanting to start a lettering or calligraphy practice. It would also make a great gift for someone who is interested in lettering.
