The Solution for Mountain Bikers

Just like it says, this thing has a big base piece to make it stable. You can't tell from the photos but it is slightly curved and the plastic is a little bit flexible, almost feels more like hard rubber. The elastic is very strong and I like that it has the strong elastic over the shoulders too. It's comfortable even with the straps tight. This mount keeps your GoPro locked down. No wobble. Get this if you go fast or if shock and vibration are shaking your GoPro and ruining your videos. 5 stars for someone finally making a chest mount that works for mountain bikers!

Same high quality, thoughtful, rugged design I've come to expect from STUNTMAN

This is the third STUNTMAN product I've purchased. I bought this one because I was so happy with the first two. This product has the same high quality, thoughtful, rugged design as the first two. The wide chest plate definitely makes the camera more stable and will make for better video. The dual ball camera mount is the same versatile mount used on the Stuntman 360. Couldn't be happier with the purchase. Exactly what I come to expect from this company.

Very well built high quality mount that works.

This is a very high quality product. Adjusting the straps to fit is easy. The top of the mount doesn't hug my chest like the lower part does, but I'm not sure this is a big problem and it may fit differently for someone with a different build. I am happy with it, although I've only used in to video while walking.

Great product overall

Very stable chest harness, used with a EVO SS Gimbal. Great product overall. @Stuntman: The short screw (1/4 20) is too short to mount a camera directly to it. There is only 1.5 turn left which is not enough. I had to remove the direct adapter to have a longer screw and now it's fine. I will purchase another screw a bit longer to be able to plug the direct adapter again.

Best Chest Strap Out There!!

I bought this chest strap to take with me on my trip to Costa Rica next week so I don’t really have much field testing with it. I can however review it from a running point of view and a from a gimbal mount point of view. I have the flimsy chest strap that comes in all those eBay package deals and those are terrible when running and you can’t mount a gimbal to it without it flopping all over the place. The Stuntman mount is very secure. The ‘soft plastic’ they advertise is really a somewhat flexible rigid plastic. It’s nice because it doesn’t dig into your chest, probably the reason they made it. But it’s definitely hard enough to where it will hold a GoPro or gimbal very steady. The straps themselves are well built and about twice as thick as the cheap one I already have. When I put the thing on it also just fits better and feels much more secure. The mount is also much more versatile in that you can adjust where you’d like to have the camera or gimbal sitting. I’ve always thought that RAM Mount should build one of these and the Stuntman crew beat them to it. But if you’ve owned a RAM mount the mounting mechanism is similar. So you can crank that mount down and it won’t move at all. If there’s something to be said about RAM mounts it’s that they are tough and steady, this is just like that! Testing: 1) I ran with this having my GoPro Hero 5 and there was no bouncing around at all. You can’t even feel the GoPro on there which is so nice. The chest strap also doesn’t look as weird as my cheap one for some reason?...maybe because it fits better. 2) I hooked up my Feiyu Tech gimbal to the mount and you could tell it was on there when the GoPro was attached to it. But it wasn’t flopping all over the place. I was doing jumping jacks and running up/down stairs and it was a little heavy but the gimbal is a little heavy so I’d expect that. The gimbal would be perfect for when I’m mountain biking where there is a lot of jarring. Overall I give this 5 stars. It’s worth the $$ if you’re doing any rigorous activity or need to hook up a gimbal. Great job Stuntman team, I will recommend this to anyone who will listen. And I’m not paid for the review or have any association with Stuntman.

Much better than the official GoPro chestie

Using this with a gimbal. Works great even without the gimble on a GoPro6; much more stable than the garbage chestie that GoPro sells. Just one note for anyone trying the same, any reasonable big hit on a mountain bike makes the gimbal spazz out. I'm tempted to try it without the gimbal for jump lines. The IS in the GoPro6 smooths out small jitters and this chestie stabilizes the big movements, so it might work out.

I bought this to hold a gimbal and action camera combo to use with my bike and some activities with my dog. It's very well made and the straps are substantial but easy to adjust. If I was going to make one suggestion or wish, it would be to include some other mounting points on chest plate. Even some small holes for zip tie mounting of an external mic or battery pack would be great. I'm currently experimenting with improving the audio of my activities and the chest plate is a good hard point for keeping a mic from rubbing on my clothing. Still, this is the best game in town for holding a gimbal.

Works will but moves slightly with the extension. Is a GoPro mount made without the extension?

Great fit and the camera mounts perfect

Went on recommendations of many reviews from Amazon customers and countless videos on YouTube! Excellent product and fits comfortable! Took a few videos on the trail and by the 3rd time I had the right angle figured out! I don’t have a gimbal attached to my GoPro but the video is still great! A gimbal would make it excellent!
