These are amazing!

I love the fact they CLIP onto your vent instead of having to adhere to a surface. Strong magnet, holds my Galaxy S7 in Speck case without slipping. Remove the cover of your phone, peal sticky tape from included magnet (I chose the rectangle) stick to inside of your case (NOT your phone), put case back on phone, clip vent magnet on any vent in your car. Place phone on top of vent magnet and you're done! Comes with 2 vent magnets and 4 magnets for your phone case - 2 rectangle, 2 oval - you choose which one you want. I am guessing they come with 2 of each in the event you would use a larger item like an iPad or Tablet. Great for GPS, makes it so easy to see directions now. No more fumbling with phone while in GPS mode. Love this product. I would highly recommend it - actually, after I received it, I ordered 2 more as gifts. :o)

I highly recommend this. Super easy and fast set up.

These are really handy. And I love that it comes with 2, so my husband will be able to use it also. The price was comparable to other brands single units. So it’s almost like getting the second free. There are 4 metal plates that come with it; 2 round plates and 2 rectangular plates, for you to choose from. I went with rectangular because it covers more area and I don’t have to be as precise when placing on the magnetic mount. I used the other round plate on the side of my nightstand. I had an extra (super strength) magnet And used that over the plate, and my phone is easy to see and in a secure place. I really don’t have anything to compare this to, as I’ve not had anything like this before. But I can’t imagine using anything else. And I doubt there’s anything better. If you have a heavy case on top of a heavy phone, (a wallet phone comes to mind), you may need a stronger magnet. Although, I’m not sure what that would do to the phone. If anything.

An easy tech savvy phone accessory that once you try it you can't live without it!

These are so handy! My husband received one as a stocking stuffer. I drove his vehicle and the phone case I had was part of a purse that detached so it had a magnetic back. I attached it a viola! I was up in running with my phone maps/ GPS in no time! That hooked me, my phone was at eye level, it wasn't sliding around on the dash, no crazy dash mount needed, just these awesome magnetic vent holders. I had mine ordered as soon as I got home. Very inexpensive, the magnets are super thin yet very strong, just slip the phone off of its case and peel off the sticker mount and attach it to the inside back of your case and your rolling. Very easy, extremely useful. ** I've been changed phone cases and the magnet was easy to transfer without losing its stickiness!

Versatile and hefty, phone stays put on bumpy roads

Great price for two and the magnetic part that goes over the vent is a lot bigger than others I've seen. It handles my 7plus pretty well due to the size. The case I have had the apple symbol showing so I couldn't put the magnetic backing strip too high up. I think a flat case would be better to distribute the balance better. I like that you get two large rectangle strips and two circular. The magnetic connection is a great strength too. We went off-roading and the phone stayed the whole time over all of the bumps! I really like the two cent thicknesses for the prong too, the thin side is exactly what I needed to have this stay put due to the weight of my phone. If your vent moves easily the vent might tilt too far down under the weight; I had this happen in a work vehicle where the vents themselves rotate up and down (not just the slit angle side to side). And if your vents aren't the perfect fit to make the magnet hold really

Very strong magnets. Even works on a Samsung S6 with a 2 layer phone cover. One layer is silicone rubber and the outer layer a thicker harder case for protection. I used the larger square metal plate instead of the smaller round plate(they come with 3m tape already on them). It comes with 2 round and 2 square plates that you stick either on the outside of the back of your phone, or on the inside of your phone case. With no phone protector case(the cover) the plate is visible(but no a big deal). when you leave the plate exposed on the out side its almost to strong because it comes in direct contact with the magnet. And if your vents aren't the perfect fit to make the magnet hold really, really tight then you run the chance of the magnet coming with the phone when you grab for it. But hidden on the inside its still strong enough(unless your case is really thick). Not sure if the round is better than the square(its actually a rectangle)? I just thought since the rectangle was larger it would be a larger target to find the magnet? So far its a 5 star product.

Good buy, I compared to others before purchase.

So far very pleased. Magnets hold well if metal plate properly centered. Came with 4 plates. 2 rectangle and 2 circle. Two different clip gaps. Kept pulling loose when removing device. Used the tighter gap and rubber wont scuff car vents. Balanced pressed on above adjuster to prevent movement. You can rotate emblem text if you are ocd about such things. Put a plate inside phone case attached to phone side as its covered in zagg to prevent rubbing from dirt. Tablet is not in zagg and I didnt want the plate stuck to the tablet or on case interior rubbing against the tablet. Adheres to case well. Plates are really thin.

The best solution to display my phone in the car

Omg, I love this! My friend had one and loves it, so I got one too and it’s the best. I’ve had several products to display my phone in the car to use the GPS while driving, and none of them are quite right- the suction cup-based types always fall off, and the last AC-grate model I had was annoying to place the phone into. This phone holder is fantastic - easy to use and the magnet is really strong even through my silicon case. My phone has never fallen off, even when I’ve knocked it by accident. Obviously you have to have your AC in a convenient configuration to use this, but that shouldn’t be a problem in most cars. I would probably be less enthusiastic if I didn’t have a case on my phone because the magnet isn’t incredibly aesthetically pleasing, but since I use a case I simply stuck the provided magnet into my case - no need to use the adhesive. I can’t speak to the comparison of this particular brand over other magnetic phone holders, but it works for me so I’d recommend.

My biggest concern about this product was if it was ...

My biggest concern about this product was if it was going hold my galaxy note s7 edge while driving and hitting potholes. Trust me it will hold up! However if you clip the magnet into the large opening it will shake and ur phone will tilt around and move on you. Make sure you use the side that has the smaller opening. Picture included to make it easier to understand. As I was using the product I hit a major pothole and I could of sworn it wasn't going to hold up... But it did. I removed my windshield phone holder in order to use this.

Excellent Phone Mounts

My wife and I were looking for a set of car mounts for our iPhones that would securely hold them in place while traveling in our cars. We had tried other products, but were dissatisfied with the performance (i.e. phones would not hold securely to the dashboard because the magnets weren't strong; holders that would clamp on with a suction cup but would eventually fall off during warm weather; etc.). We came across the Maxboost 2-Pack Universal Air Vent Magnetic Car Mount Holder for Smartphone (iPhone) and decided to give them a try. Much to our delight, these mounts were excellent. The mounts had excellent build quality and fit perfectly in the air conditioning vents in both of our vehicles (my car is a domestic crossover SUV and my wife's car is a small, foreign station wagon). We were even more pleased that the mounts included different sizes of metal plates that could either be attached permanently to the back of our phone cases (without pulling off of the case) or used portably (placed inside the phone case without permanently attaching it to the case). In both instances, the mount magnets were extremely strong and held our phones securely in place, allowing us to easily view our phones screens for GPS purposes and use the speakerphone capabilities without having to hold the phone in our hands. This product easily fulfilled our expectations, and we'd recommend it to anyone looking for a quality magnetic car mount for their cell phone. Love it!

I just don't understand how they can offer this for so cheap. I saw a friend using something similar and they couldn't stop raving about it. I agree.. it's changed the way I use my phone completely. I love it! I've probably annoyed my friends with all the talking I do about it. It's a 2 pack, so I put one in my wife's vehicle also. It comes with two round plates and two square, so I was able to also equip my wife's phone and still have a couple spares for the future. The only negative I've found is that the metal disc blocks the wireless charging function on my S8+. To get around this, I stuck the disc to the inside of my TPU case instead of on the phone itself. When I get to my desk at work, I pop the phone out of the case to wirelessly charge. This may be a deal breaker for some people.. I tried another product here on Amazon that can wirelessly charge AND is a magnetic mount, but I found it was still interfering with charging half the time and I came back to this product instead. Love it.
