Tools are solid and well made. (Watch holder is mostly plastic, but high quality.) Definitely helps to have the watch holder, otherwise twisting the back off could be more problematic depending on how tightly it was last put on! Takes a little time to get the device configured to the right spacing, but then it's just firm downward pressure while you twist counterclockwise. Kit comes nicely packaged with instructions. Arrived in good time. Certainly saves money for simple battery changes. Would not hesitate to purchase from this seller again.

Fantastic little tool that helps if you have a watch with a screw-off cover with the side rivets. The great thing about this is that it's adjustable to various watch sizes on both the vice and the case opener. And for the price, well, it costs next to nothing. I'm sure there are fancier ones out there but honestly, just needed a tool that gets the job done and isn't a piece of junk. Seems fitting this is listed as "Amazon's Choice." I read the negative reviews on here, honestly, like most of them, they are user ignorance/negligence. This is a fine solid product, spend with confidence.

Worked perfectly! and it couldn't have been easier. I never realized there was such a tool and low and behold, battery died on my Nixon watch and I though I would have to send it back to Nixon to get it changed. I love Amazon

Works really well. The key to any type of remover is the holder, and this holder is effective. Without a holder, removing the back of a watch is next to impossible. I highly recommend.

I had always just used small needle nose pliers with good success until I had a dead battery in a Fossle watch that must have had the back cover installed by Arnold Schwarzenegger in his prime. I purchased this tool and was able to remove the back without a problem and no damage to the watch. I have used it a few times since and now kinda feel silly that worked that hard at it with pliers instead of spending 10 bucks sooner and not stress about damaging my watches.

It's well worth the money because you will see how ridiculously easy it is to change the battery out with tools like this. There are places that actually charge you money to do this! If you visit a mall, they have the kiosks for watch repairs and whatnots. I was charged the cost of a tool like this, plus the battery. I have a couple of watches that I can use this tool with and only pay the amount of the battery. It is really easy once you remove the back cover. Give it a try! The tool is metal and the part that holds the watch in place is a thick/sturdy piece of plastic.

Had a smaller unit that just wouldn't work on my bigger watches so bought this one. Arrived promptly after ordering, works very well and the watch holder makes taking off the backs on ally my larger sized watches very easy.

I was getting tired of trying to find a reasonable jeweler or watch kiosk that would replace the batteries in my old Seiko, so I bought this handy little tool and a few of the right sized batteries for less than I paid a watch guy to do the work two or three years ago. If you're handy with tools and can follow directions (from YouTube), you should have no problem with it. I do not have any other watches with a screw-off back, so I can't say if it fits every possible one, but it was a great buy and a bargain for me.

I have a Pulsar and the back plate was apparently over tightened by the last jeweler who replaced the battery. I took it to Walmart but they could not get the back plate off with their tool. So I ordered this watch back remover tool and it worked. It took some strength and patience, but was successful. Well worth the cost of the tool.

If you have a watch with a "screw-on back plate", this simple combo tool kit makes it easy to remove the back plate to replace the watch battery. The right tool makes it easy for the "do-it-your-selfer". Batteries are easy to find online or at the grocery store now days. DIY and save!
