Great kit! Super pleased!

So far so good! I’ve never worked with PVC or misters before and found it super easy to assemble. I wanted to rig up a mister system around my back patio with a mister over each of my hanging ferns so they could survive the 110 degree days we’ve been having. I bought an additional package of mister/pvc slip joints from the same manufacturer and several 10’ pieces of PVC from the hardware store. I noticed the pvc pipe from the store had thicker sidewalls than the pipe from Orbit. I didn’t end up using the 2’ lengths of Orbit pvc in the end as I needed 3’ pieces so my review is solely for the directions and fittings. The directions were GREAT! Written clearly and with helpful illustrations and tips, wish all products came with these kind of instructions. And the fittings were great as well, it was super handy to have almost everything I needed arrive in one box ready to go. I did purchase some additional items to finish this project: a white 1/2” RV drinking water hose (to run from my hose spigot up my white patio column to the mister pipes), a hose filter (to keep my misters from getting clogged) and UV-resistant white zipties to hang the pipes instead of the clips. (The clips were clever, but I didn’t want to damage my metal patio roof by drilling into it). If I could make a suggestion to the manufacturer it would be to offer the kit without the 2’ lengths of PVC for a cheaper price—the kit came packaged in a large box that I’m sure made it more expensive to ship. The fittings and cement could have fit in a very small box.

Great misting system., I purchased a few other orbit misting parts to go with this and make it a bit larger, but it made the patio feel a lot cooler! Much better than the thin hoses, but takes longer to set up and is less forgiving.

Works Great!

This works great. I’ve bought 2 sets already and connected them together. Buying my third set now. We live in Phoenix and they really help cool off the patio. They work great and we’ve had no issues.

Placing this misting system around an outside A/C unit increases it's efficiency while lowering electrical demand and extending "life-cycle" on the equipment.

The other reviewers mentioning clogs are in error, the clogs are not due to the product, they are due to the water. Get a filter and there will be no clogs. I have run mine 24/7 for two weeks with no clogs. This uses the standard size mister that everybody uses, If you want a finer mist then you need to go the the much more expensive pressurized system which uses a booster pump. All installations are not covered so you may need more items to complete the project. My parts list was: 1. High Flow Faucet Y-Adapter - 2 outlets from one. 2. RV water filter. 3. Dedicated hose, mine was 4 foot long. 4. 10' 1/2" sprinkler pipe. 5. A few 90 degree 1/2" fittings. 6. 2.5" wood nail 7. Set of replacement misters so they can be swapped out instantly. I connected the Y-Adapter to the faucet, then the 4 foot hose to the Adapter, then the filter to the hose then the filter to the hose adapter from the kit. My only problem was the pipe clamps, which had a weak, serrated nail which are useless for nailing to wood as they are too weak to penetrate common 2x4 wood. I substituted a 2.5" 3D wood nail and that worked fine. The only improvement I would ask the manufacturer to make is to place a red line on the pipes and fittings so it is easier to line up all the misters and get rid of the serrated nails. Overall a very quality kit and clean install.

Great System with one glitch!

This system is so easy and quick to assemble. The misting system is powerful and spray is adjusted by the hose faucet. However, the nails provided are so flimsy that they bent trying to nail them into the wood beam. Go to the hardware store and buy stronger nails. I WOULD DEFINITELY BUY THIS MISTING SYSTEM AGAIN!!!!
