Always thought, "oh man, I've got to have the real, thick, stainless steel Aaton film camera rails"...these are 1/10th the weight, almost just as sturdy, overall equally as functional as what would cost you hundreds of dollars for the real deal. KEEP MAKING AWESOME PRODUCTS SmallRig!

Lightweight and Sturdy

I was pretty impressed with these Carbon Fiber rods. SmallRig has come a long way in their quality control and it really shows. They look a lot better than the rods that came with my rig as well which is a nice plus! Overall I couldn’t ask for anything more as they have held up for a few months now to heavy use with a lot of weight put on them.

Excellent product for the price

Excellent product for the price! These are about 1/2 the weight of aluminum tubes, and they are just about as strong. The price doesn't show a realistic image, it has a nice matte finish which is great for grip. Plus it has strong 2mm thick walls for no flexing.

Strong and Light

Very light and very strong. I needed something smaller to make the rig more portable. The eight inches is long enough to allow a follow focus to be attached to the overall setup. Compared to aluminum these carbon fiber rods feel almost weightless. The surface of these rods are a matte / dull surface which allow for better grip when clamping down your gear.

Super light weight

Super light weight which is exactly what I need on this follow focus setup on my gimbal. I really like it and the price is right.

Great! Just make sure you realize there’s two different sizes

I bought these but I had to return them because they were shorter than what I was expecting. But they were still top-notch.

Excellent gear at an excellent price

I have used SmallRig on my GH4 and my EVA1. My EVA1 is outfitted with their camera cage, rail system, lens support, battery mount, and evf mount. All the gear works perfectly with the EVA1 and the price is perfect. Highly recommend SmallRig. I will buy much more as my needs grow. Thanks SmallRig!

sturdy, and does its job

I bought these thinking they were going to be some faux knock off carbon fiber rods. But these are the real deal. Light weight, sturdy, and does its job.

Perfect addition to any rig

These rails are great. Real light weight, with a silky smooth finish. I swapped them with the dense aluminum rails that came with my Gini Rig extreme kit, & they really helped in reducing the overall weight. I liked them so much I also bought an 8" pair. I also use their BMPCC cage, & magic arm. Can't go wrong with any Smallrig product. Don't hesitate to purchase, price is great.
