Ninja 650 2017 --- perfect fit Very handy, comes with batteries and all. Very loud lock, if your bike is even touched this thing will go off. I would buy 2 one for the back and one for the front... Cheap motorcycle alarm alternative when using more than one... I can hear the alarm from my bedroom! In the daytime..

1 week in to it and it's eaten through 2 sets of batteries. This alarm is worthless! Do not buy this alarm! Really, I do think that the positive reviews are padded by the seller or manufacturer. It is NOT good construction, It is NOT loud, and the batteries do NOT last more than 2 days. --UPDATE-- So after returning the the first unit, the seller sent me the new version to try out instead. Being the sceptic that I am, I put it through its paces. It has yet to fail. The battery problems with the old unit are not present with this one and the features that made me want to buy it in the first place are still there. I don't know what they did, but whatever they did worked. I am happy with this new alarm, and with the seller as they bent over backwards to make sure the problems were fixed.

This and my chain lock keeps the thieves at bay. My pops always said that "a lock only keeps honest folk honest. Fits the ATM-50A1 or VIP scooter perfectly once you figure out the right place for it. It should be at the 6 o'clock position. Alarm is not that loud, but loud enough to make one look.

Not as loud as I thought it would be. I'll but in new batteries and see if that helps. Well built and fits my bike,aVTX1800. I'm putting it on the back wheel [ it's a little harder to reach] but I've seen how easily 2 men and a 2x4 can lift the front of a locked bike and walk it away. I just got a nice letter from the seller [5/25/17] saying that they would pay for new batteries. This was really great treatment and very unexpected. The batteries did work and since low batteries are normal ware this can't be held against the seller.

Bought one of these about a year ago and i have got to say i REFUSE to try out another brand. This one is super loud, the right amount of sensitivity and has held up through 100+ heat, and 26F freezing snow Here in bipolar weather texas. The key is awesome because of how difficult it would be to pick it as opposed to tradition key holes and the construction of the unit is super durable. My only issue is that there are not more color options! I want an alarm that is super brightly colored so people notice it if they look at the bike, but i guess thats what the cable reminders are for. Anyhow, after being left on the bike outside for 5+ weeks the alarm did its job but succumbed to calcium build-up from our hard water rains over here. the calcium and mineral build-up made some of the pins in the lock get stuck, but i was still able to get it open with the key. The alarm portion however will go off randomly so i assume there is some type of build-up inside the unit. Its not too bad though, I bought my replacement unit today!

Well made, operates pretty easily. Alarm seems loud to me. Main thing I wanted to add to the other reviews was more detail on the alarming sequence. When you lock it it makes one beep. After about 15 seconds it arms itself (no beeps happen). Then, the FIRST time something sets it off it makes Three beeps. After that anything that sets it off activates the alarm (kind of a woo woo woo woo.... piercing noise) which goes for 10 seconds then stops. If it's disturbed again it goes off for another 10 seconds. IF it's not disturbed for some period of time (don't know how long) after the alarm goes off it will reset to where the next "first time" it's disturbed it will do the three short beeps and if it's disturbed again after a short period of time the alarm goes off. This means that when you come back to unlock it one of two things will happen. If you unlock it gently AND nothing has recently set it off while you were gone it will give you three beeps. If the alarm was triggered while you were gone, and it hasn't been too long a time, then when you go to unlock it the alarm will go off. I don't think there is anyway someone could try to remove it without the key without it going off.

I have no complaints at all with this device. You should get an insurance discount, though small, for owning one, it is CRAZY loud for being so small, very sensitive ( I forgot I put it on one night and just by tilting my bike upward from it's kickstand position it went off and scared the @#$! out of me ), very affordable, and with all that it's DURABLE being made entirely out of metal. I wouldn't take my Ninja anywhere without it. Thank you.

Most of these style locks don't make any noise. As soon as you move the lock or the bike this thing gives a warning "chirp chirp chirp". If you move it again, it's loud! If the thief tried to keep stealing your bike he would have to put up with a blaring siren. Plus all the attention the noise would draw. I was concerned someone could just pop the batteries out. No way before it went off though. Some people said it is too sensitive. My bike is under a cover and I've never had it go off, even in storms/windy weather. Also, awesome feature, if you forget to take it off before riding, it'll remind you!

Even though the product looks indestructible very well made it was well packed and shipped . the only instructions which are clear however ,they failed to mention that the Allen wrench that's provided is impaled on a piece of foam where the lock mechanism is , comes with an extra set of batteries already mounted in there nylon case it also comes with a well-made black carrying case there are two obvious screws on the bottom but the other two screws are hidden .I didn't realize it came with an extra set of batteries I thought the extra set needed to be installed after removing two screws to open up the battery compartment and since the cover fits so well you need a razor blade to pry open the door to the battery compartment when that didn't work, I examined it found the hidden screws and remove them with the Allen wrench

Bought for my 2017 XL883N (Sportster Iron) and it works great. Locking side fits into the vents in the disc brake. It's a bit touchy and I hesitate to use it when I know the bike will be in locations where loud vehicles or other bikes will be going by constantly. I can set it off by setting my helmet on the seat of the bike, if that's a good indicator. Would buy again and save the money vs. the $70 one I was looking at previously.
