Easy to use. Tried it on a junk car and it worked perfectly

Great little tool!

Just has an article locally how someone could not get out of their car upside down as the water was coming in....which is why i bought this...with all the ponds in Florida. That being said, make sure your car window for the driver and passenger are not "laminated"....they need to be TEMPERED for this tool to work...apparently some manufacturers are placing laminated glass in the driver door so they do not eject when rolling over with no seat belt...laminated glass in the door defeats the purpose of this tool.

Better to have and not need than to need and not have

As a firefighter of 32 years (retired) I’ve used this tool many times and it works flawlessly . The chances of a person having to ever use it is slim. But if you need to extracte yourself or come across an accident where a quick extrication is required . It will be a very handy tool.

Use Velcro to attach to car

I feel better having these emergency tools just in case. However, I don't like the black storage holder each one comes in. It is too hard to attach it to the car (don't want to drill a hole in the car) and I worry about trying to release the tool from the holder in an emergency. I removed the black case and put velcro on the arm of the tool and stuck it to my dashboard. Easy to access, easy solution! Bought one of these for each of my family members.

Heavy and nicely constructed

This should have no problem smashing through a closed window. The other things that I like about these is that they are brightly colored and stand out from other items in the car, and they also have a safely blade on the opposite end to the hammer, which can be used to cut off a seat belt in an emergency. I hope that I never have to use these, but it's offers a little extra piece of mind having them in the car, especially during the winter season.

In an emergency I can get out of my car.

I live near a lot of water, plus some streets flood after a rain storm. I was told to keep a screw driver in my car, but knowing it would not break a window or cut a seat belt, I went this route. Very pleased with my purchase. Hopefully, I will never have to use it, but I have it in case I do.

Peace of Mind

Ever since I read a horrific story about someone being trapped in a car, I've been meaning to buy a tool to break a car window if needed. I finally followed through and made this purchase. Now both my husband and I have tools in our cars to provide escape if it's ever necessary.

Good to have in the car in case of emergency.

A friend had an accident recently and couldn't get out of her seatbelt. She purchased this tool and recommended the same for me. I bought one for myself and my husband and told my sister to order one for my nephew who drives. Hope we never need to use it.

Update: Gave these as part of Christmas gifts, 2018. EVERYONE was pleased with them. They are easy to see & easy to put into a convenient area of each vehicle. KNOCKOFFS are out there-buy this brand! Orig.: I bought another brand & was not happy w/how clumsy it was. Like I stated being a woman-this fits in my hand & I'll have confidence if the time comes, to use it. Comes in it's own snap in/out case which fits perfect by my shifter. Really, really, nice product. I've ordered more, for gifts, after receiving mine.

Great life saving device for just a few dollars!!

I've been meaning to purchase this type of emergency device for my personal vehicle for years. But.....lazy me. And I'm a law enforcement officer, well, retired after 35 years, and know the importance of having this type of device in an emergency involving automotive vehicles. While "browsing" around Amazon I spotted this offer. TWO devices, including mounting housing, for less than $10. WOW, even if they turned out to be junk, $10 including shipping..........So, I made the purchase. When they arrived,ONE DAY LATER, I was astonished at how well they were made and how many features are included in the device. I've put a device in each of the two front door pockets of my truck.
