It writes really fast!

I purchased the box of 36 pens as school supplies for my 3 grandchildren who are in high school. I decided to keep a handful for myself. It writes really fast and I love it! The black is a little thicker than usual, but I love it because you can see everything clearly. For meeting and sermon notes I highly recommend it because you can keep up b/c you don't have to spend so much effort pushing the pen. I highly recommend this pen so many reasons.

Really love these pens!

I have purchased so many pens over the years that seem a struggle to use, with ink that stops as much as it starts. These pens are a real pleasure: there's a lovely flow to them that seems steady and expressive. Very smooth. And the pen is comfortable, fitting my hand well. I could immediately tell the difference and could understand what the other positive reviewers were happy about. There are other decent pens out there, but these seem to be a step beyond. I bought a box of 36 on sale for just under $12. I liked them so much I went back and ordered a 2nd box while the price was low, coming in at slightly more than 30 cents a piece. The cost is still higher than some of the choices, but these seem so much better and well worth the difference. I think you will understand how great these are if you give them a try. The ones that I purchased and like so much also have the name "Atlantis" on them in addition to "Velocity Bold." I'm not quite clear on the double name and why the Atlantis part doesn't always seem to show up in the listing. I have only recently acquired these pens, so can't really speak the the longevity of them. My husband always complains that his pens never last more than about a week. I gave him a couple of these to try, so maybe will update post this review. But regardless of when the ink might or might not run out, it's a lovely smooth experience till then.

Box says Atlantis on top

Velocity Bold ballpoint is my favorite pen. Very smooth. What confused me is the box said 'Atlantis'. I started the return process before I noticed 'Velocity Bold' in smaller letters lower on the box. Couldn't cancel the return so I just never sent back the box. Love this pen!!

These are best if you like thick lines when writing!

I love these pens. I like thick, smooth lines when writing, and I write a lot at work and at home. These do the job. They don't leak, no dead spots in your lines. Very smooth and easy to write with. I highly recommend!

Love these pens

Love these pens. People at work keep stealing them. So I bought this 36 pack instead of the 12 pack. I put my name on all of them.

Very Dark. Smooth writing. Outstanding Buy!

The darkest black standard ballpoint ink I have tried and very smooth feeling writing. Using the 1.6 Bold Black pens which give very wide black lines compared to most ballpoint pens I have used. At about 50 cents per pen on an Amazon sale also a very good buy IMO. The only comparable dark writing pen or cartridge I have tried is the Monteverde Ceramic Gel Broad P44 cartridge but this is faster drying and less likely to smear. Also a lot less expensive and no warning given about potential leakage in a pocket.

Favorite Pen

By far these are my favorite pen in the way they write. they are just super smooth. don't bleed like gel and not too "scratchy" that I feel with other pens when writing.

Nice thick bold easy flow lines.

. _I_ like the pen(s). Big bold line. Smooth flowing ink. Bright blue color. I like the click instead of the stick because I do not have to keep track of a top. I do NOT LIKE the fact that the ink will blob at the end of the ball while the pen is not writing and sitting in the holder or my pocket so that the first thing I get is a blob on the paper UNLESS I wipe the blob off on something before I begin writing. Because of the nice thick line it forces me to write "big" and that means my normal hen-scratching style is actually readable by me six weeks later.

Favorite bold pen

I love bold point pens (1.6 mm ballpoint), which sadly are getting harder to come by these days. I have the Crystal Stick version also, both are smooth writing with rich ink, but I love that these are retractable so i don't have to keep track of not losing the cap. The Velocity also has a comfortable grip whereas the Crystal Stick is simply a clear stick pen. I can clip the retractable pen on my clothes (lapel or waistband) as I'm walking around at work & always have it on hard without accidentally getting ink all over me. I'm possessive of my bold pens. These only last me an average of about 2-3 wks each at work & everybody loves the smooth bold pens I wrote with but sorry they have to buy their own. Great prices here for a large box that lasts a while, I buy both black and blue ink to interchange as desired. Great pens, I hope Bic doesn't stop making them! They do not dry out over the long haul (so far).

Fantastic pens!

These are some of the BEST writing pens I have ever used. I was having problems finding them in stores in black (I could find other colors). So, although I really didn't want a package of 36 at one time, I know that I will have pens that write well to last me for many years to come. Excellent product!
