Inexpensive engraver does what I need it to do
I had a few items I wanted to mark for my household inventory in case of theft and ordered this engraver. I tried it out on some test items first to get better at handling it. The marks are deep and straight enough to read easily which is the point if I ever have to turn in a theft report to the police - I stand a better chance of retrieving my items with personal engraving on them. Nice little engraver for the price.

Fun, easy tool gets the job done
Love this little tool and it's what I expected! Even my kids are able to use it (pic is my 8 yr old making a flower... after trying it for 5 minutes)! Takes a few tries to get used to how the tip spins but we found it's better to barely let the tip hit the surface... if you press too hard it makes squiggly lines from how the tip spins. Nice alternative to my wood burning tool especially since my kids can use this. Don't expect it to look like you paid for engraving at Things Remembered, but for little jobs it gets the job done.

Works great for casual use
I've used this on rocks, my macbook, my bicycle frame, and lots of other random things, and it has held up very well so far. It's probably not nearly as high-powered as a corded engraver, but it works great if you just need it for casual use.

Works great on all types of materials
This little guy comes in very handy. I purchased it before a deployment to number locks to keys and mark some of my gear to make sure it doesn't get lost. The biggest problem I have had is keeping up with this as all my buddies keep taking it to label their stuff. I have used it on wood plastic and metal no issues so far. Awesome deal for the money.

100% worth it!
Extremely easy to use. My handwriting looked no different from using a marker. Exactly what I had hoped for, for engraving my name into my stethoscope I purchased here on Amazon . It was relatively quiet, and easy to hold the pen and object still (the only part that made your hand want to move is the fact you're engraving an object). I've since "claimed" all of my tools, my bandage shears, hemostats, pen lights, etc. and it took less than 10 minutes to do all of them. I do suggest that when you engrave any plastic (or glass or metal etc.) that you consider using some eye protection as you are chipping metal and other material into bits of dust that can easily get into your eyes. I engraved everything over a moist wipe to catch dust and dispose of it, and wore a pair of lab goggles which blocked a shred of plastic from entering my eye. Hope this helps :)

Great! Much better quality than the Harbor Freight equivalant.
I had the Harbor Freight one that looks identical; needed another and ordered this. This one is MUCH better quality. I'm delighted with it. Light, powerful, simple. I just ordered 2 more for work. Yes, it costs a little more. It's worth it.

Awesome little tool
Easy to grab the size is just like a pen, nice metallic blue covering, diamond bits are able to engrave glass, metals, wood, a lovely tiny screw driver is included, its made of magnet ,used to replace bits, an extra bit is included, an adorable tiny transparent box is included to hold the screw dryer and the extra bit, even the batteries are loaded and its ready to be used. This tool amazed me and the seller provided in that little package all what is needed to make the customer happy.

For tiny holes on sea shells... Engraving on glass and metal...
I bought this as a gift for my mother. For a long time she was collecting seashells to make a windchime and other projects of hers. I bought battery powered engraving pens before but we couldn’t manage to drill a tiny hole on a sea shell. The tips were too big. But this one is great. It has 2 different size tip. 1 small and 1 is bigger. I tried engraving on glass and metal it worked on both surfaces. For small projects it is great. It is easily hold pen size tool. For first time engraving tool users: Do not use force. Let it rotate and do the work. Because using force will make it stop rotating.

Works great
For the value you can’t beat it. It took a little practice but I got the hang of it quickly. Worked great on polymer clay, all the wording on the birdhouse I did was done by using this pen!

Works great! Just ordered another!
This pen does exactly what I needed it to, and its way better than what I was expecting! The vibration the pen uses to engrave takes a little adjustment to get used to, so it's important to keep a light touch and start slow. So happy I found this -- thanks for the great product!
