Can be modified to use as a laser engraver bed
I bought this for the sole purpose of disassembling it. I have a K40 Laser Engraver and wanted to make an adjustable height bed for it. Looking at the photos for this lab table looked like it might just be modifiable to suit the purpose, so I took a chance an ordered it. Ended up working out perfect! The scissor lift all comes apart with screws and c-clips, and I was able to take out one section to make it shorter in the retracted position. This also made it so the adjusting knob doesn't move up or down as you adjust it. I then extended the shaft for the adjustment knob so it sticks out a hole in the front of the laser cabinet and attached a wire rack I found on eBay to the top instead of the sheet metal plate.. It's not super precise at staying level, but it's "close enough" for the tolerance of the laser. You just have to be careful about how you adjust it. Saved me spending well over two hundred dollars on a ready-made adjustable bed. (albeit powered)

The scissors stand worked well adjusting the height on a table of a sand bag.
