Saved my cheek from getting tore up more! Easy to use!
This is my new life saver. I had been stabbed by a quarter inch long wire last week and the Orthodontic Assistant cut it. 6 days later my cheek was ripped open bleeding a lot and I didn't want to drive that hour and 10min drive just to cut the wire every week and waste my gas. So, when I received these it took me 2min with a magnified mirror and my phone with the flash light on and I clearly accessed the long wire. I will be dealing with this till my molar gaps close, one gap being from an extracted 1st upper left molar. So as my left teeth shift making their way the wire gets longer on the right side.

Just awful. But a beautiful piece of art.
These are extremely strong, made out of extremely high quality metal. They are made out of metal that is better than 99% of all tools. They are real stainless steel and they have real carbide teeth. I tried filing the teeth and the file won't even scratch the carbide teeth on these. The problem is, these cutters are absolute trash. The cutting edges aren't filed and shaped properly. They are dull. They are so dull, it's almost impossible to cut a single piece of soft 16 gauge stranded, wire. I tried cutting various things, and it feels like you have to put about 10 times harder to make a cut than using a regular small wire cutter. The blades just aren't sharpened properly. They come together very evenly, and the metallurgy is extremely good. The brazing joints look really good, in fact, flawless. But the cutting edges are not filed correctly, and therefore these are totally useless. You might as well just buy larger "beveled" cutters that are hardened. You can buy a set of hardened Knipex bevel cutters for $40 that will cut hard wire without any problem. For $10.99, I am definitely keeping these. I can't imagine that anyone could make something this beautiful for $10.99. They are a bargain. I am probably going to buy a couple more pair. These need to be heavily modified in order to work well. But once modified, they would be equivalent to $150 cutters. The modifications these need are: 1.) Set screw needs to be drill and tapped and added just behind the cutter edges, so set the depth of the cut, to prevent smashing the blades together and possibly chipping the hard carbide teeth. 2.) These need to be filed with a diamond file, sand paper, a stone, or a grinder (or whatever else you have that is harder than a file). They could be brought to a sharpening store, and professionally sharpened. I suspect that if you sharpened these to "flush cutters" they would be very good for electronics work or small wires. A small bevel could be left for cutting harder wires and dental wires. Making them too sharp could weaken the metal, so don't over sharpen them.

Works great and saves a trip to the orthodontist
Bought this just prior to the covid19 lockdown and I'm so glad I did. My daughter had a back wire cutting her cheek and with the orthodontist being closed this was a lifesaver.

What a blessing!
Just got these today and let me say, my mouth feels like it's in heaven. My braces wire was sticking my cheeks and and getting hung. These were a blessing and relief. Very easy to use. Good tool for braces journey.

Item as described
Do not know what other people are complaining about with this product. It's basically a wire cutter but with a flat edge. Was able to trim wire that was poking my cheek, not anymore. Glad I bought would reccomend.

Works well and save a visit to ortho.
I've had braces for several years. When your wire pokes your cheek, it hurts. Going to the orthodontist to have them clip the wire is time consuming. This is the convenient solution.

Great tool for cutting orthodontic wire
It has been a life saver in this time that the orthodontist is closed, cutting the ends of the wire to stop hurting it’s easy

Good for cutting guitar strings
Effective for cutting metal guitar strings, and also to use like pliers to disengage bits of old wrapped strings from the tuning nut.
