We had a seed problem...
We had a seed problem, we had seeds everywhere...my wife was always sweeping and vacuuming up seeds, so I found this and wondered if my birds would eat out of it, I put it in my finch cage, the finch's did not hesitate, the climbed right in and started eating...my parakeets on the other hand took about a week to eat out of it, I put it in the cage and noticed that after a couple of days they had not eaten any food, so I had to put the original food bowl back in, then I noticed that there is an adjustable food door in the back, I found that the parakeet food was not able to make it past the stop in the back, I adjusted that wide open and viola...the food was coming out as it should, I found a couple days later after the parakeets felt they could trust it, they started eating from it...now, NO SEEDS!!! YAY, my wife is so happy to not have to clean up seeds several times a day! We purchased these from LINE-S and am very happy with our purchase!

What I like best is the lack of waste
I purchased this a few months ago for my finches and it works as described. What I like best is the lack of waste. Anyone with birds knows just how much seed they waste and this seems to put a serious damper on that. It isn't 100% mess proof but nothing is when it comes to birds. One thing to remember is to empty the bottom tray before it gets full. Once it's full, it will dump hulls everywhere when you do pull it out. This was a trial for me and I'm so happy with this product that I plan to purchase more of these for my other cages.

Great feeder
Really like this one because most of the hulls fall down into the cup and there is less mess. The seeds come out slowly and the opening where the seeds fall into the seed area can be adjusted. I like this much better than regular food containers

My cockatiels love, love, love it x10!
A really great product for those with smaller parrot species. I never did think that they would choose this feeder as opposed to their beloved dish, especially since I was afraid the basin opening would be too small for them but now that I've used this feeder for about a month, I can understand why they do. 1. Let's start with the basics: this feeder feeds them, and it consistently does. Where their regular dish can sometimes be just filled with seeds or leftovers instead of food, this feeder seems to alway allow them something available that they want. 2. Because the basin area is so shallow, with a steady flow of food which let's seeds drop (most of the time) they almost never have to dig for a piece that they want. It should be noted, though that the opening did needed to be adjusted so that their cockatiel-appropriate size food could more easily flow through (sunflower seeds included) this may not be the case if you use smaller food. Adjustment was easy, just a screwdriver to the screw above the feeding basin. This feeder appears to work pretty seamlessly with the right size opening but if I'm away for longer than a few hours I still make sure to leave a dish with food with them. This feeder does not take away the daily attention you should be paying to your birds feeding needs, it simply makes it easier for your bird to find the food they need and for that it is worth every penny!

Little Canaries like using these feeders and I am happy they do.
My two Prevue Hendryx Hampton breeding cages of canaries love to waste their food and the food isn’t that inexpensive to always be throwing out the extra to my outside birdies. Decided to give these feeders a try to see if it would help to contain some seed mess that ends up on the cage floor and floor. These feeders are amazing and am purchasing two more. It doesn’t completely stop the birds from tossing the seeds everywhere, but it does a much better job than most feeders do. The little birds are curious enough to want to check out everything that gets put into their domain, so there has not been any issue with them deciding to eat out of them. There are small removable bottoms to the feeders that fill with the “leftovers” that are emptied from the outside without having to go into the cage to empty. Very nice touch to trying to keep the canaries from being spooked by the huge hand monster that often enters their cage. Con: With my Prevue Hendryx Hampton cages, the feeder did not have a place it can be easily attached due to the way the cage openings are, but I found that by using both feeders they will fit tightly wedged into the side door opening without any chance of them falling out. I had planned on using one feeder in each cage, but am purchasing two more so I can fit them the same way I have done as shown in the photo in the other cage. They are definitely worth the price of purchasing two more for my birdies. Additional Info 7/14/18: I noticed there was a complaint regarding sharp points on the perch area where the bird stands. I also had those on one of my feeders and took an Emory board to it. With a couple of strokes, the pointy, hard plastic was gone.

Don't leave very much of an opening for small seeds to come down. The Hulls will fall into the tray.
I have 5 Budgies! Little pigs! I decided to give this a try, so tired of the messes, not knowing what is good seed, and just hulls. Well, at first, I didn't think it was going to work. I had adjusted the feed, and too much food was coming out, and the hulls were on top of the seed, none going into the tray. Then I re adjusted it. I have only a small space where the seeds are available, and the Budgies have to work for their food. My Son said they would pull the seeds down. They do, and the hulls go into the tray, so easy.im so happy with it. Very few hulls escape, and the free for all is gone for these birds, great investment!!

12 parakeets, works great, getting another!
This actually works. It isn't fragile. It allows easy refilling from outside the cage, and emptying from outside too. The only thing I would change (but only because we have so many birds) is making the drawer that catches chaff, larger, so that it wouldn't need emptying twice a day, but that is because 12 birds are using the one feeder, so of course they eat a lot of seed from it. Getting a second one ought to make the difference. I will note that the slits in the bottom don't really allow much to fall through, and most of the chaff comes through at the part of the feeder facing the bird. But it still works, regardless. We're so glad and grateful this solution exists, to put an end to wasted seed, and chaff mess all over the floor every day. I checked the chaff box, and it was full of seed coats, not seeds, so it really is saving seed to get eaten instead of scattered.

Catches seeds, keeps mess in one place!
I love this feeder, and so does my bird... I can't believe we've gone so long before discovering this feeder!!! Pros: - Solid construction - Easy installation on horizontal OR vertical bars - Adjustable perch - Adjustable flow for seed/pellet size - Cleaner cage - discarded and dropped food are caught by drawer - Intuitive design - the birds aren't afraid! Cons: - No option for midsized or big parrots. - Would love to see something this clever for water! I would recommend this feeder for smaller birds - finches, canaries, parakeets, and love birds (It makes life so much easier for their humans!). I love being able to empty the "discard" tray right back into the seed compartment, instead of seeing lots of dropped food going to waste on the bottom of the cage. The feeder was set at a default for seeds, but its adjustable flow made it easy to change settings so Roudybush pellets reached my bird. I'd recommend this to all owners of smaller birds - it's a fantastic investment!

It’s the best feeder I have ever used
Where has this been all my bird owning life?! It’s the best feeder I have ever used. Virtually no mess, seeds are not wasted and my parakeets came to it automatically since the clear feeder showed the seeds so they knew it was food. I would definitely recommend this feeder, although it did NOT come with instructions. I figured it by myself.

Huge reduction in mess
Being new to birds I wasn’t expecting such a mess. One of my parakeets is a messy pig but this thing has made all the difference. Previously I had food in a dish that slid in from the outside. I had to bend the metal arms up a bit to make this fit but it’s great. Refill from outside their cage. Almost no mess. I have 3 parakeets and the hull catcher could probably go 3 days before getting full. Mine mostly eat one at a time but 2 parakeets could squeeze in at the same time if they wanted to (they don’t, amazes me how lovey they are one minute then beastly the next). No issues with construction - seems well made. I’d recommend this feeder.
