So I would like to write this review. I got this device because I take so many pictures that I do not have time to add to my hard drive. It does backup on google but I wanted a back up. This was working amazing and I loved it. We changed internet service and it quit working. I was so sad. I contacted customer service and I received help from Hunter. It took a fews tries but we are up and running. The neat thing about this service was I did not have to keep bugging them and asking, Hunter would check up on me to see if I got it to work. Not only did he get the device working but he was very kind in the process. I wish all companies had this kind of service. The device is perfect for what I need. So for those that say they could not get it working definitely try the customer service. I would give these guys 20 stars if I could.

Excellent product, would highly recommend it for any photographers or smartphone user who are tired of paying monthly fees for cloude services to keep his/her moments. The device is extremely easy to set up and use, you just follow the 3 steps ( you cant go wrong ) and thats it. The nice thing of Monument device is once you install it it group the pictures on such a way that makes it easy to recall ! Either by date, location, person in photo ... and much more. An additional plus is that since the company that made the device started by people like you and me and not big corporations deliver a dynamic changes to anything the customer need or want to see in the device, which in my opinion is a key factor of any successful product

I bought this hoping to help my wife and I organize all our photos. We had a problem at first and contacted the Monument Support Team and they walked me through my difficulties and today I couldn't be happier with the results. My wife takes a great deal of photos with her iPhone and anytime she's hooked up to wifi it copies all her new photos onto the hard drive at our home base and then they are copied to a backup hard drive It automatically sorts them by date, location, people and cameras used. I then have access to both of our photos anywhere in the world by opening the Monument app on my phone, without having years and years of photos on my phone. Thanks for a great product. We just came back from a 6 week vacation in Asia. My wife and I took photos everyday and they were all backed up every time we had wifi. It was nice knowing all our photos were at home on a hard drive and backed up on a different hart drive. It was nice insurance against losing our phone and losing all the photos. Great product and great tech support.

This has been a great solution for us. We use it to back up the sd cards from out cameras after a photoshoot. It is great to come in and just plug the cards one at a time into the drive and have them copy over all the pictures (JPG and RAW) to the drive. No more pulling out the computer and copying them to a drive for safekeeping/editing. As the cards are copying themselves we can look at the pictures on a tablet and give them a quick once over before beginning the process of editing them. We can search back by date or location to find a shoot we may have done in the past. Its great how the drive does a sequential back up, if i only take a few pictures on a card that i didn't format before the shoot it will only copy what is new over, not the entire card. The tech support for this device is great, they have helped me understand many features of the device, and I look forward to them adding features as we go along.I think this is a must have for photographers. It will fit any workflow, even if you only use it to make a backup for your backup. If it doesn't exist in three places.... it doesn't exist....

Just recently recently received mine and set it up with two 4 TB Western Digital easy store drives and I’m very happy with this device! Setup was so easy and simple! I’ve uploaded over 20,000 photos and it’s handled them with no issues at all although it does take some time to process that many initially which I anticipated. Facial recognition is pretty good but not perfect (I’ve not seen any that are perfect though) but it’s easy enough to correct them though I wish there was a way to correct them in batches rather than one by one (maybe this could be an enhancement they could make in an update down the road). It does everything as it was described it would do and the best part is they are continually updating it with enhancements. I was on the fence at first with getting it but I am glad I got it as it’s going to do exactly what I hoped it’d do in terms of being a solid replacement for cloud services that really don’t even do what it does. Tech support was responsive and helpful via email too!! A huge plus!

Can't connect after 2 days with tech support they quit responding, good idea but bad execution! First ever return for a product!😑😑😑 Update they have promised a fix Still nothing. The company sent a new unit ,the software bugs seem to be fixed ,I have 2 drives hooked up and already backed up 1500 photos!

Had a minor issue adding a second phone for photo back up and their Tech guys were right on it and fixed the issue. I had better customer support by them then I have ever had with another company. I'm really impressed

Been using it for about a month. Love it. Previously used iCloud for backing up my photos. The reason I tried Monument is the multi-user support and having everything on my own storage. Very solid product to manage my photos. I have over 60.000 photos stored on this device. Excited to see where this startup takes it to. PROs 1. Imports from the two smartphones we have (mine and wife's) and the DSLR we use. Also supports RAW files. 2. Multi-user support. 3. Using external USB Drives as storage. I know for a fact that I have everything on my watch. 4. Upload photos from my computer using the desktop app. 5. Regular updates and new features from the company. CONs 1. The desktop app needs to be improved. The support says it’s a planned feature. 2. The device analyzes new content slowly, if you're importing a huge collection could take some time. 3. Wi-Fi connection is 2.4GHz only, but can use wired if speed is important This product has exceeded my expectations in every way.

I received the Monument about a week ago, and I’ve been uploading photos ever since. At almost 35,000 photos, from numerous sources, including my MacBook Pro, Surface laptop, SD card from my DSLR and my iPhone. I had a few questions that I asked through tech support, and Hunter has been great, following up with me. The product is really fabulous, and is helping me to organize all my photos in one place. I also bought a 4TB external drive that all the photos are being stored on through the Monument device, and I’ve barely scratched the surface with so much capacity left. This will help me to now organize my photos and create albums using the software, so my family and I can enjoy our experiences, capturing subsets of all my digital photos I’ve ever taken! Great product and awesome tech support!! I highly recommend it.

It was straight forward to install it. Then I uploaded my 25000 pictures from my Iphone, quite fast. What took time is the first analysis (face recognition, locations etc), like 2 days for this amount of pics. But once it is done for the initial stock, it is like instant for the new pics, very good. I can upload my pics from any place in the world via cell network or wifi to avoid costs. It is really a great product. What could be improved is the research mode in the app/engine (eg. More criterias, easier...). Just as a suggestion.
