My phone uses micro usb to charge. So do my headphones, my smart watch, my kindle, so on...you get the idea. I have a few things like game controllers and flash lights that use AA batteries. It's really nice being able to use all my wall warts/micro usb cables to charge 4 batteries at once. Overall it's a nice little compact battery charger. I like the flip down cover on it to keep the batteries inside. I put a rubber band on it to keep it closed in my backpack. This thing is a great portable AA/AAA charger.

Excellent! I needed a compact charger I could travel with that would function without need for another wall-wart adapter. Charging may be a little slow, but this does the trick and fits my needs! Wish the cover secured a bit better - easily comes completely off rather than just flipping up on the tabs made for this purpose, but using the rubber band at this point which came on the USB cable so I can use it to transport spare batteries as well.

This works really good had it for awhile the batteries stay charged for a long time I like the fact you can use the same charger for AA or AAA..the green lights are nice lets you know when batteries are fully charged...dont expect a fast charge you have to leave them over night to get a full charge..if you want to save money on batteries this is the way to go...

This works great from a traditional USB power source, but it does not work well with a solar USB charger. Not sure if it is this device, or the solar charger that is the source of the issue. A week of charging in direct sunlight (4-5 hours a day) resulted in all but 0 charge (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B012YUJJM8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1). If you have USB C only you will need an adapter to charge this as it uses type A, not C.

not sure if any faster than any other chargers I have had, but I wasn't looking for speed. I specifically was looking for one that could charge double and triple A solar batteries. This has done the trick time and time again. It didn't come with a wall plug, but a USB plug, which in most houses is almost the same nowadays.

I was confused regarding this product. So i bought the energizer fast charger and EBL usb charger. I used both and the results are very surprising. I am happy with both the chargers. Only the lid of the EBL charger comes off every now and then. But it isnt a big worry.

It works. It does what it is supposed to do. I use it to recharge 4 AA batteries via a lithium battery pack (see my other review). It does get a bit hot when recharging batteries, but I have found this makes a great hand warmer when it is cold outside. On average, it takes about 4 hours to bring the charge of 4 AA batteries from near zero to full charge. This method was tested on a full lithium battery charge (again, go check out my other review). It has a clear plastic top on top of the unit. I trashed it because it serves no purpose. All in all, a great buy!

I bought the 2800mah battery pack and none of them charge past 85% with this charger. A little disappointing but I'll keep this as a backup for the meantime Update 04/02/18 - EBL contacted me and shipped out replacement batteries. They are able to charge to 100% where the last ones would not charge past 85%-87%. I am very pleased with their customer service

My old charger stopped working. Worse,it gave me that tingly feeling. 20 years old, heavy has a brick, and outlasted several sets of batteries, but it was done. Time to find a new charger. This one arrived in a simple box. Inside it was a simple enough looking charger. Charger, USB cord. Mini plug on one end, full sized USB charger on the other end. 2 red/green charge LED's. I first hooked it up to the wall, and let it run EBL branded batteries. They were done in about 3-4 hours. About 1/2 the time of my old charger. Then I hooked up some other batteries to my power bank. Charged about the same rate with EBL batteries inside it. I next put some nearly charged out 850 mah non EBL batteries in it, and hooked it up to my mini solar panel. That worked too. Very nice. If you need a USB charger that can work with a solar panel, this one will do. The charger itself is mostly thin plastic, and it looks flimsy at first feel, but my friends 100 lb lab happily trotted right over the thing. Didn't do any damage aside from a minor claw mark in the plastic cover. So while it seems a little flimsy, it took my friends big lab without blinking. So very well built. Overall, I am very pleased with it!.

So far it’s doing good, i would recomend it. The only problem is it’s a bit small and getting batteries in and out can be very hard...it takes a knife or something to pry them out and some finagling and strength to get them in....but they do charge.
