I have used this grill for pork chops, beef filets, shrimp, hot dogs, knockwurst and chicken thighs - not all at once of course;-) It works like a charm and is extremely easy to clean. Some reviews mention high heat, but the manufacturer recommends not using high heat so I have used only medium and gotten perfect grill marks anyway. I wouldn't suggest high heat because the moat doesn't hold that much water and could boil easily. This grill won't produce the flavors possible on an outdoor grill but if like me you can't have one of those, this is a great substitute and it sure is easier to clean.

My whole family is extremely happy with this product. Food tastes as if it were grilled and stays moist. No excess smoke in the house, and fits right on your stovetop. I bought a pack of pre-marinated thinly sliced Korean BBQ meat (bulgoggi) and the meat turned out juicy with some nice crisp caramelized edges, which took maybe 5 min for the first batch, less for the next. After I used this grill pan several times, I have found that if you put lid over the meat for a short period of time it decrease cook time and increases moisture content. It’s a great gadget to have in your kitchen for healthy food into your healthy life!

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the pan, both the grill pan and the tray. Seems extremely solid and long lasting. And it is not heavy at all so a perfect combination. I was hesitant in getting this as the grill pan is more for western style BBQ and I wanted a Korean style where the grooves are not as pronounced or at all for more variety of cooking. If you want the fat to drain faster (cooking fatty cuts of meat), this is not the right one. So have a look at their domed shaped one for faster oil drainage. Nor can this be used for stew type of Korean cooking as the liquid drains outwards and no way to contain the liquid on the cooking surface. Then, you need to get the concaved surface with a plug in the middle. Different reviews state high heat vs low heat but I think that is depending on your stove more than anything. I use mine on mid to mid-high and works very well for both Korean and Western BBQ. Non-stick and extremely easy to clean as well. One issue I had with was the size of the bottom to catch the gas stove grate. Perhaps my stove is a non-standard size but I spent a long time looking for a grate to put on top of my stove so the pan doesn't tip over. With the water and fat inside, could be very dangerous. The hole opening diameter is 8 inches and my stove grate is 8.5 inches so I thought it would have been fine. No, it wasn't. The pan slides all over the place as the grate was not sitting on the flat part of the tray. So, I am actually using a steamer tray (I think that's what it's for anyway) to rest on top of my grate (see picture) so the pan sits flat and stable. Your grate needs to be at least 9.5 inches to catch the flat bottom part of the tray. 10.5" is where the tray groove mark is (it's raised a bit; 3 / 32 inch) The drip pan gets as hot as the main grill pan for me after awhile so be careful. Cooking salmon steaks were not ideal for me as I was trying to control the oil splatter with lower heat and it just took too long. And, I prefer salmon oil mixed in for full flavouring so depends on how you cook your food I suppose. Best to get a glass cover to control oil splatting and/or to trap the heat for your cooking type. The lid should be 12.5" or smaller to be exact... Update: I tried "wet" BBQ (marinated beef and marinated pork belly) and it came out very well. The spattering and burning of marinade weren't too bad with the heat down. The fat doesn't drain much for thicker cuts of pork belly so I just used a wet paper towel with a chopstick to push the fat to the tray between new batches and it came out very nicely.

Well made stove-top grill. It sits nicely on my standard stove with a portion of the grill sitting on part of the conjoining burner (see picture). I don’t mind this since I bought it to cook satay and planned to use only the bottom half of the grill anyway (see picture). Easy clean, I sprayed some oil prior to cooking and used wet paper towel to clean the surface in between batches. I grilled 27 marinated satay with the drip-tray half full and on medium high heat (#7 (out of 10) on my stove knob). Manageable smoke considering we don’t have built-in exhaust (we did use window fan). Definitely a great buy and I’m excited to explore other food to grill.

The TECHEF Grill Pan is easy to use and easy to clean! It gets hot very quickly and leave perfect grill marks on any meat or vegetables. It also has a drip tray below to catch any oil and grease, which make it very easy to expose of. Just be careful that the pan might shift a little bit while cooking, but it hasn't been much of an issue. We are very please with this grill plan as an alternative to traditional grills.

I really liked this pan. I thought the set up was odd at first. The grill top with the reservoir for water. Well after using it once I realized how great the "set-up" was. The outer edge, or bottom, of the pan gets filled with a bit of water and the purpose it has is to help any type of splatter that what you are cooking would have. I've made burgers, chicken and brats so far and there is always little to no mess. We used this in our camper when it was too rainy out to grill. With a normal grill pan we would've had an oily mess to clean up. With this pan, there was no splatter anywhere. The pan is a breeze to clean as with any TeChef product. A little soapy water and a soft cloth took off even stuck on food. I would recommend this for anyone tired of the mess with grilling indoors.

My friend bought me one of these for my 54th birthday and I have to say that without a doubt it is one of the best gifts I have ever received. I live in Omaha, Nebraska where I can’t use an outside grill during the long winter months (~5 months). This pan cooks steaks, pork chops, etc absolutely beautifully and in a more healthy way as the shape of the center allows the fat to drain off. I absolutely love the idea of the ring underneath as it allows me to pour Burgundy wine in there for my steaks...AWESOME! I was so impressed that I immediately bought one for my daughter. Get one, you will not regret it!

Very useful , cleans really well and grilling is perfect in my opinion . Doesn’t keep the oil like the other grill pans which can be annoying . This is like grilling on the grill really good

I moved to a small apartment with a very inexpensive and virtually unusable stove. I bought this to try to find a way to cook foods on this stove. This pan works great and healthy! It browns the food nicely and keeps the meat moist. Every time when I use this grill pan, I feel healthy since greasy and juicy part of food goes down to the water, my food wasn’t greasy and/or oily at all. I cooked steaks, pork chops, chicken breast, and burgers and this grill has been great. Minimal clean up and no smoking up the apartment. And also food tastes way better than pan fry! I would recommend this pan for people who are looking for compact, lightweight, easy to clean, healthy and requires very little storage space!

I bought this as a gift for my husband because he likes to grill. He has cooked steaks, brats, and pork belly and really likes it. I am so happy with this product because my stove doesn’t get dirty anymore when he is cooking! This stove-top grill pan has a unique design. The water in the bottom ring catches fats and juices during cooking. My husband is so pleased with the taste of food because the flavor of the meat is similar to the food cooked in his gas grill! I’m so glad that he loves it! Thank you, Techef!
