Better than my original

This was used to replace the swivel on a chair. The product is good quality and matched the specs in description. The installed part is better quality than the original swivel installed on the chair.

It's not just for chairs!

This chair swivel is of very high quality, tight yet it rotates smoothly. Just what I needed. But I didn't buy it to swivel a chair. I am getting into advanced couch potato-based horizontal TV viewing, and I decided I wanted to have my TV screen tilted to the same viewing angle as my eyeballs, in other words, Portrait position for the screen instead of Landscape. This 245mm (10 inch) chair base has the exact same 200mm hole pattern as my TV mounting provisions. So I put the swivel between my wall mount and the TV, and voila, I now have a rotating large screen TV perfect for lying on the couch, TV straight ahead rotated 90 degrees, in perfect harmony with my horizontal negotiation with gravity.

I bought two. One of the older swivel mechanism had become so loose that the ball barrings were falling out. The other was getting to that point as well, so I decided to replace them both. So far, so good. These have MANY more ball barrings than the originals that came with the two tall swivel kitchen chairs I bought just over 15 years ago. Although one of the swivel mechanisms is harder to spin than the other, I'm sure they'll both spin the same after a bit of use. The first thing I did was spin them both by hand to see how smooth they were and to the get the internal grease distributed evenly on the ball barrings. The older ones have a lot of grease in them. I can't tell how much grease is in the new ones. If anything goes wrong with them in the near future, I'll let you know.

Rock, swivel, recliner back at 100%

Perfect replacement piece. We will see how long it last as i just replaced it today. I have a rocking swiveling recliner that’s 5 years old. My wife and use it everyday. Especially with out first baby. Ballbearings started to shoot out of the bottom. I thought for sure ones going to have to replace the whole couch. The most difficult part of the repair was flipping the recliner over and lining up the holes.

Ball bearings till very nicely. A little noise but not bad. I will update once I get prolonged use out of it.

Better than original replacement swivel for barstools, furniture and more

I originally purchased one of these to replace a defective 8 inch seat swivel in a counter height kitchen bar stool. The replacement was so much better than the original, I ordered two more for my set of barstools. Easy replacement for wobbly or loose swivels and they appear to be very well made. and worth the money.

Good Build Quality

My original easy chair came with a swivel plate equipped with a ring of ball bearings held in place by a plastic ring. The plastic ring wore out in less than a year, and all of the bearings were no longer evenly spaced. This replacement has no plastic ring - the bearings are packed in the groove, leaving no room for them to become displaced. Build quality is much better on this swivel replacement, and I expect it will work for years to come. Installation was easy, and I'm back in business!

Sturdy and durable

Made a lazy Susan that is sturdy enough to use as a sit and spin. This item is a bit hard to spin out of the box, but once it has some weight on it, it spins great. It also is more forgiving than a flimsy lazy Susan turner if your surface isn’t completely flat.

Great replacement swivel plate!

This swivel plate arrived promptly and was far superior to the plate being replaced. I used this unit to replace the swivel plate on a cheap Walmart bar stool. The failed plate had about 8-10 ball bearings with a thin piece of plastic to add support. The new plate from MySit had around 30-50 ball bearings and swivels much smoother. See photos attached. Photo with consecutive ball bearings is from MySit and the bearing with less is the cheap original. I would purchase these again.
