Most people probably buy a headlamp flashlight for hiking and camping purposes. I bought this one for doing close work in my home. I am very pleased with the Foxelli Rechargeable Headlamp Flashlight. It arrived promptly with status emails keeping me informed, it was 90% charged when received so I can use it immediately, it re-charges through a USB process making it lighter without any batteries, it's adjustable for where the light can be directed and it's a cool color - hot pink! I'm very pleased and will be using it often. It also arrived promptly and the instructions were easy!

Bought this for daily use in construction, and it has delivered! Wanted a light weight rechargeable headlamp that did NOT take 18650s, and this was the top one on amazon. Pros: Durable and reliable. I'll charge infrequently, leave it on my hardhat in my trunk for two weeks during the holidays and it works great. Cold weather, out in the sun, smashing on the ground from 10+ feet if my hardhat gets knocked off, being used every single day, no problem. Forgot to charge it on Friday? Throw it on the charger for a few minutes, and you'll have enough juice to get to break and charge it up more. Cons: After a full year of use, the button is getting a little flakey. Sometimes you need to click it really hard, or a couple times, but it still works. I have gotten a little PVC glue on it, and dropped it a bunch, so I am not taking away a star. I wish it could be a bit more durable, but for the price, I am not disappointed.

I bought this light after numerous failures with Pezel headlamps. Much cheaper, and since much of my usage is around the house, rechargeable is fine. This light performs as well as any of the Pezel lights I've had and is quite well built. I haven't tested its water resistance, but it seems pretty well sealed against light rain. I like the idea that the first switch position is the dimmer light setting, since that's the one I use mostly... it's plenty of light for most things I do, and it's the lowest battery consumption. I also like it that the illumination beam is fairly broad, rather than spot. For long distance usage that might not be optimum, but for reading it's great. I bought a Flagship-X Phoenix at the same time as I bought the Foxelli, and I've found the spot is too tightly focused for reading... I keep having to move my head around to move the beam around the pages. The Foxelli light is also quite robust. My wife was using it to examine the engine of her Dodge Caravan and inadvertently turned off the light and left it sitting on the engine block when she closed the hood. Several days later I opened the hood and discovered the light hanging down from the strap which had melted onto the exhaust manifold. Although the strap is toast, and the mounting guides for the strap on the back of the light are somewhat deformed, the light worked fine when it had cooled down. Impressive performance. I recommend this light.

I recently started running in the evenings as I have a very busy schedule and that seems to be the only consistent time of day where I have free time nowadays. I bought this headlamp to replace the stupid flashlight I was running with that would continuously bump my side unless I consciously did not let my arm swing, obviously that wasn’t working out very well. Not only is this headlamp bright, but it has a floodlight setting which is what I use on my runs. I love that it has different light options and that it’s rechargeable. The rechargeable feature was really what I was looking for. I was worried that the headlamp would squeeze too much and potentially cause a headache but I actually don’t really notice that it’s on which is so great. I have also managed to use it around the house while trying to fix miscellaneous things, it’s nice to have two free hands for once!

I love these lights! My current life situation had allowed me a bunch of free time to do whatever this summer, so I am on a long term camping trip. These are very lightweight, very bright, and compact. One of my favorite features, is how you do not need to cycle thru all light modes every time you turn it on, by default it just goes to the last used mode you were on. Now I was originally a bit disappointed, because one of the lights that my girlfriend had been using just died and would not recharge. At the time, I was not going to even bother returning or exchanging it, because of the fact that I was (and still am) far from home, and it was too much of a hassle. But then I got an email from customer service asking to write a review, and I basically just said "you don't want me to write a review, because one lamp broke", and without me even asking for a replacement, they just sent a new lamp immediately. Unfortunately my girlfriend had tried to take the old one apart and fix it, then threw it out, because I told her I wasn't bothering to return. Anyways, that is great customer service the way that whole thing played out. So both lights are still working great at this point, and I liked them so much I ordered another for my father, as part of a few gifts I got him for fathers day. I am All around pleased with these lights, and have restored faith in the foxelli brand, due to outstanding customer service.

5 star product for sure!! I suppose if you are looking for long distance, you might need something else. However, this thing is super bright. It'll light up an entire room, garage, camp sight, etc. The red light is really nice at night. It's lightweight and not too bulky, sits nice on the head. The angles are perfect for me. The light WILL NOT shine in your eyes! The strap feels nice and fits nice and looks nice, but the adjuster does come loose, only complaint I have. Still, I love this headlamp and am going to buy the battery version as well.

Update 1/10/17 These light are still going strong, been using one for bike commuting and the other for working on cars in my garage. Great lights! *update 9/10/17 Foxelli customer service reached out to me and replaced both head lamps free of charge. I've used both of these and recharged them a few times and I'm happy to report they are working great! I used to buy Petzl, Black Diamond and Princeton Tec lights. These Foxelli's are every bit as good, actually better with the rechargeable ability, at a much lower cost. (old review below) I have 2 of these lights. Both only lasted 1 charge. Afterwards, they will not take another charge and will not turn on. I actually have other headlamps from Foxelli that are different models, and they've all worked well. I don't know why this particular model is so bad.

I've had several other inexpensive and more expensive head lamps, this is by far the nicest in its category. That being it's weight and light output, but even so far I like this head lamp the best. I've taken it on camping trips and charged them via AC charger in my truck and with several power banks with no issue. Very pleased with both units I purchased, I even decided to buy a third to keep in my truck at all times. The pros: Lightweight High quality head band that can accept up to a hat size of at most 7 1/2 like my cabbage head. strong hinge, I can jump up and down and run and the headlamp wont shift. charges quickly and seems to have good battery life. The cons: Nothing bad except there isn't a battery indicator, I think the addition of a light that would turn red, yellow and green to indicate battery level would be very nice. Honestly I can't think of anything else wrong with it.

As a professional writer, I'm stingy with my reviews because writing is work to me. I only leave reviews when I receive a clever, beautiful or well-made product or if I hold great disdain for a ridiculous, foul or unworthy piece of merchandise that I've been shipped. The headlamp falls into the former category. What makes this lighted wearable different -- save for the fact that there's no annoying middle strap that runs over the top of your forehead and dismantles your hairstyle to the point of forever changing the permanent part in your hair, these headlamps also run on rechargeable batteries powered by USB cords, which the seller actually (gasp) provides. Why, thank you kindly, seller. I purchased four of these headlamps after living through a lampless hurricane last year. When the package arrived, each of the four boxes contained TWO USB cords, which was surprising I suppose this is in case you lose one or if someone swipes one to charge bluetooth speakers. One can never have too many USB cords, I always say. To charge the headlamps, it's best accomplished if one is not wearing them at the time. Stop laughing. Just plug one end of the cord into the headlamp under the rubber flap and the other into your laptop/computer or into a wall charger. When the light turns from red to green, charging is complete. Like me, the lamp has three power settings -- low, high and SOS. The beam can be tilted so the light isn't blinding the person in front of you. Or, depending upon your mood, it can be aimed so it is. Most of you have already determined how I feel about this product but for those two of you still uncertain (Hi Aunt Rose and Uncle Bill), rest assured that this headlamp is comfortable, well made and well packaged. Cheers.
