• The Banjo ukulele is a four stringed instrument with a small banjo type body and a fretted concert size ukulele neck that was very popular in the '20s & '30s. It features the distinctive sound of a banjo and the small scale tuning and playing style of a Ukulele. The instrument uses standard ukulele tuning of G-C-E-A.
  • The drum head of Kmise banjolele made of polyster with great elasticity has a quick response. Equipped with superior Aquila String from Italy and high quality closed geared tuners, this banjolele can not only produce a bright and percussive tone but also be in an accurate intonation and stay in tune well.
  • Compared with other banjoleles, Kmise banjolele with action 3mm at 12th fret is very comfortable for beginners to learn because players do not need to press too hard with such a low action. Preset with truss rod inside the neck, players can adjust the action with the wrench as needed. Smooth fretboard and neat fret wires also offer comfortable touch and protect hands from being scratched.
  • Kmise banjolele has various playing methods. It can be in a traditional resonator style or an open back style by detaching its back. Traditional resonator style produces a mellower, softer sound while the open back style has a brighter sound.
  • Kmise provides 90-day warranty for the banjolele and lifetime string replacement. If there is any problem with Kmise banjolele, please feel free to contact us and we will reply you within 24 hours and help you solve the problem ASAP.

Seems to be made of quality dense materials this little sucker has some weight to it. Sounds great too

This is exactly what I was looking for! A great instrument at a great price! I love the sound and it's very easy to play. It's not too heavy or too big. I'd give it a 10 if I could. The worst part was I opted for standard shipping and it took "forever" to get here, if you're anxious like me, opt for expedited shipping. It's well worth it!

if it was possible to give it six stars i would stays in tune like champ plays and sounds great really well made excellent resonance

At this price point this is a pretty darn great banjo uke. Bought it as a gift for my mom and she loves it. Comes with decent strings, has a better, fuller sound than other inexpensive banjoleles and is easy to setup and play. The tuner that it comes with is trash though, just buy a new tuner with higher ratings. The case is flimsy but does the trick, just doesn't provide any protection if you were to bang the uke. Still, this is a great buy.

This banjolele has a very nice way to it and the inlays are exquisite.

Disclaimer: I have no connection with Kmise, their distributors or anyone connected with the company. Other than being a faithful Amazon customer, I have no connection with them in any way. I bought this banjoukulele directly from the manufacturer, not Amazon. It is the exception to the rule. I have purchased 4 ukuleles from Amazon in the past and have been VERY pleased with all of them, but after speaking to the maker at length I felt I owed them the order. I have a lot of experience with string instruments in general, and ukuleles specifically. I always try to buy quality and have spent the time necessary to insure whatever I buy is the best quality for the price. This banjoukulele meets and surpasses my requirements and expectations. It is well made with quality materials and workmanship. I have read reviews from folks who complain about strings not staying in tune. That's really pretty common on new string instruments. It took several days for the strings on this banjolele to "stabilize", which was expected. They are now fine. I believe the strings are Aquila, which are quality strings. It arrived in perfect condition. The bridge had to be installed, which is a simple process. If you look at the specs on the Internet you find instructions regarding placement. In the case of this Concert Banjouke you will find it is to be placed 8-1/2 inches from the 12th fret. Doing that, and checking with an electronic tuner, you will find that to be almost perfect placement. I have played the Kala banjolele and liked it very much (all of my ukes are Kala's). Believe it or not, this banjolele sounds as good and plays as well as the Kala (in my humble opinion). The Kala is onbiously higher quality instrument, but not in a way that to me, makes a difference in the way it plays or sounds. That's not to say I won't upgrade to a Kala in the future if my abilities justify the upgrade. In my relatively experienced opinion with string instruments I can say that this banjolele is well worth every dollar, and compared to others I've seen, vastly under priced. If you're waffling as to whether or not to buy it, just do it. You won't be disappointing. BTW, the one I bought came with a quality gig bag and very accurate electronic tuner. ATTN: I just noticed the price in the header of this review is $165.99. I don't know where that came from. I paid $119 which is the same price Amazon lists it for.
