Works well

Really liked this setup and price. Very inexpensive, but well made. I was VERY disappointed to see a booklet of the codes (instead of a integral database) but I was wrong...after getting the code a couple of seconds later it DOES display the meaning of the code. This reader could not actually clear the code, saying there was an unknown error, but disconnecting the negative cable on the battery for a minute did it. Overall I am pleased with this product, even with those caveats. I'd buy again if I needed to with out regret.

Worth more than it cost

So easy to use. I lost my first one and was so upset, that I replaced it with this same one. Eventually found the lost one, gave it to s friend and he thinks he owes me way more than what it cost because he thinks it is a very high end tool. You won't reprogram your car with it, but you can see every statistic about your engine in real time and see the diagnostic codes as well. If I lose it again, I'll buy another of these.

Great price. Easy to use. I have used without any issues on the following vehicles: 2008 Toyota Avalon, 2004 E-350 Van, 1997 Toyota Camry, and 2004 Honda Pilot. So far, I have been happy with this item. I am not a professional mechanic. I only work my own vehicles, and occasionally on friends/family to help out, so I cannot vouch for this item if subjected to heavy usage. For a 'home-gamer', it seems to work great so far.

Shuts off the check engine light cheaper than the dealer.

This thing works great. I put after market hi Flo cats in my 13 mustang, and the check engine light comes on from time to time because of that. And this thing tells me the problem, and I can clear the code so the check engine light goes out. Way better than paying an arm and a leg at the dealership and being without my car for the day. This thing checks and clears the code in 2 minutes.

Great all-in-one Car Code Reader

I drive older cars and this has all the functionality you need to see if your car is ready for inspection. My cars are old enough that they often have a check-engine light and this is the least expensive all-in-one that will give me enough info to know if I can fix the problem or need to take the car in. I used to have a bluetooth OBD sensor that connected to my phone and it worked, but this is much better because it's less expensive and I don't have to deal with connecting it to my phone.

This has worked as expected. I kept having a code pop back up. When I went to local auto parts store, they would use their scanner and the same code kept appearing. Well, I bought this scanner, I performed the clear function and code came up no more! IT HAS BEEN SIX MONTHS, since I cleared the code and it has not come back up. So, I am now positive that the issue was with the code not being cleared before. I used this on 2002 Ford F-150.

Does what it says on the tin.

You can't beat it for the price. Had my check engine light come on in my 2000 Ford Taurus. Decided to finally buy one of these rather than drag it to Auto Zone, where the local scanner may or may not be working. Hooked it up, turned on the ignition and in less than 15 seconds my code was found. It displayed the number and what it meant. I then cleared that puppy right out of there and the engine light went out instantly. Promptly stashed the scanner in my glove box. Easy peasy. Well made and the display is easy to read. If you are considering an affordable model, then I highly suggest this Ancel.
