We just opened our 3rd box, and my husband, who’s in charge of trash duty, has not stop saying how much he loves these bags, opposed to our previous, bag-free approach. The bags are large enough to totally fit in our 13 gallon recycling bin, and, now on our 3rd box, have not had a single rupture...even with broken glass, large partially folded boxes and filled to the rim. With my first go at recycling garbage bags, I went with the other company, and we experienced each of the problems mentions before during the first box

In my area, the garbage men prefer to pull bags out of the trash than dump the whole recycling into the vehicle. These bags are perfect. I toss all of my recycling into the bag, then when It's full, I set it out into the recycling bin. Perfect. I know that in some areas, you can't use these, but it shouldn't be a problem. They're blue, the official color of recycling, they're clear so the waste people can see it's recycling, and they're strong enough to get filled to the brim.

I really like Hefty brand bags! So that being said, their recycling bags are no exception! I have tried and loved both the clear and blue ones. The blue is not opaque but see through. There is no scent which is important to me! They hold up well for recyclables and I will definitely be repurchasing! I personally like to keep my recyclables and trash in different bags so I can tell the difference. I usually have black or white trash bags and use these hefty light blue or clear recycle bags for recycling. That's just a preference for me, but to each their own!

When I moved into my condo over a decade ago I was told I would get a recycling bin like all my neighbors had. For some reason I never did get one and calls to the condo association and to various township departments got me nothing but the royal runaround. I finally gave up and for years I put my recyclables in paper bags or in other people's bins that were already at the curb. Later I learned that Township Powers that Be had decided providing residents with bins was too costly and stopped giving them out. Subsequently, all the neighbors who moved in after I did never go bins, either. Recently I learned about these clear bags that were designed specifically for recycling! I couldn't find them at Target or any other local store so had to get them from Amazon. They really resolved my problem of not having anything to put my recyclables in! They're strong with nice ties. There was just one hitch. I had never heard of clear plastic bags before and had never seen any. Evidently, neither had the collectors who work for the recycling companies! I noticed the first couple of weeks that the recycling guys were just leaving my clear bags for the regular trash guys to pick up. They didn't realize that stuff in clear bags was stuff they were supposed to take! Thankfully the condo association called the recycling companies and got them straightened out so now there's no problem any more. All to say that if you decide to buy these, be forewarned that you might have educate the recycling company and their personnel.

My household produces more recycling than trash and given we are charged by the bag when disposing, we try and pack it full. The voids of empty containers mean we continuously try to squish things into the bag... and when we do, the commercial “Hefty Hefty Hefty...” comes to mind when the bag doesn’t tear. Excellent product.

This is my first experience with recycling bags. Hefty didn't disappoint. These bags fit perfectly into the Rubbermaid 13 gal recycle bins. While they are blue, the plastic is clear so the recycling people can quickly sort bags. I like the fact these have drawstrings on top. Makes closing and securing the bag easy. I'm still on the fence about long term use. Buying separate bags for recycling is an additional cost but if it makes the job of the recycling company easier, it might be worth it. I'm still learning the recycling ropes so I just don't know yet.

We can't actually use them with our recycling bins, but they've come in handy for gathering things we want to get rid of. They're strong enough to fill over half with clothes if they're carried from the top and can do max capacity perfectly fine when carried from the bottom. Our boxes of old kids clothes and toys would always get mixed back in before donating but with these bags, everyone knows the bright blue bags get filled and put in the car for donation.

I use these every day, I used to toss all my recycling in an empty trash can but living on the 3rd floor it was a pain carrying it up and down stairs and it would get so dirty. These bags are perfect, they’re thin so they can’t hold too many heavy things but I love being able to keep all my recyclables in them.

We love these bags. They are themselves recyclable so I line a 13 gallon blue trash can, also purchased on Amazon, with one and fill it with our daily recycling. when full the entire bag goes directly to our city provided "blue bin" and all is easy. Not available in any store near me.

I needed trashcan liners to put my recyclables in, and these bags are perfect. So happy with my purchase. I try not to load the bags up with too many heavy items because they aren’t as strong as some regular trash bags, but I think that’s to be expected.
