A great costume for an American Girl doll.

Our Hermione Granger fan now has an almost perfectly Hermione-clad doll. As a birthday gift, it was a total success. This is a great outfit. The only little annoyance is that the emblem on the cloak isn't a Hogwarts or Gryffindor emblem. It just says "magic school", which is okay, but it could have been perfect with the correct emblem. Still, it's a great little outfit. And, yes, I would definitely order it again and probably will (for the younger sister.)

Stylin in quality

A well made outfit, quality all around. The tie is actually satin and is a perfect compliment to the outfit. The pleated skirt is well made and matches the socks and vest perfectly. The lined cloak is even reversible if desired, but I wouldn't want to as it would cover up the miniature Gryffindor emblem. The entire outfit is so cute and is topped off with the wand that arrived as a necklace, large enough to wear myself. Maybe a bit expensive, but really worth it if you want the best!

Perfect!

My daughter loved it! Really good quality. Loved everything down to the robe with the gryffindor emblem and little wand. Only thing is the shoes don't fit with the socks on. (Different shoes pictured). Had to use another pair we had from her AG doll. Other than that, very pleased.

Despite shortcomings, worth every penny!

The robe is very well sewn, with clean-finish lining (no exposed seam allowances). They skimped on fabric - it’s not long and flowing (maybe easier for a young child to handle). The Gryffindor patch is fully embroidered. It’s tiny - 1 x 1.5 inches! It’s top-stitched; not glued on (I opened the hem seam and removed the stitches under the patch). I made a longer, wider robe with a wand pocket for my granddaughter, but couldn’t find a small embroidered patch online, so I used this one. The original robe can serve as a jacket now. Sweater - The trim is single stitched along the middle yellow stripe. It should be easy to remove if you want to trim off the green stripe (which is the wrong color for the outfit), then top stitch the trim back on. I left it as is, though. Blouse and skirt are well sewn and can be used with other outfits. The skirt’s waist is loose on my Madame Alexander doll, but the tucked in blouse keeps it from slipping. Socks - same thin T-shirt type knit fabric as the sweater, not shaped to the heel, just folded over with top stitching (no stretch) at the cuff. Shoes do not fit over them. They'd make good long mittens instead. Shoes - The soft back collapsed and was difficult to put on. I made a Velcro pull-up tab which solved the problem. An alternative would be to glue a firm material to the inside back. Once on, it fits well. Tie - Made of a nice fabric, has no “wrong” side, and is light gold (looked silver in the photo) with dark red. I learned to tie a knot from youtube, then cut it in the center back, and sewed Velcro to the ends. Over all, the outfit with the wand is worth every penny!

Great doll outfit

I was impressed with the detail of the set and everything that was included down to the shoes and socks! My daughter especially wanted a wand for her doll and this set included that. The wand is attached to a necklace my daughter can wear which she loves, it's her new favorite accessory. It fits her AG doll, as well as her Via-e doll so it's versatile across brands. My daughter loves it and it was easy to put on her doll so win win. Definitely recommend.

The BEST Off-Brand Purchase!

This is one of the best sets I've ordered for my daughter's Amercian Girl doll. She absolutely loves it and it is well-made - there are no frays, every fastening lines up perfectly, and there is attention to detail you wouldn't expect for this price. The socks are garbage - they fall off without the shoes - but that's par for the course, so it doesn't change my review of this set. My daughter was absolutely over the moon with this!

A great buy!!!!

My 10 year oId grand daughter is reading her 2nd Harry Potter book and is absolutely hooked on the series, so I ordered this to put in her Easter basket. She was thrilled with it and so was I; it was perfect, right down to the wand with the lanyard included so she can wear the wand around her neck!! The quality of all of the pieces is exceptional and I know she will cherish it for years to come.

Best doll outfit!!! My baby approves!!

This is awesome!! The wand doubles as a necklace for your kid. The tie is crazy hard to tie because there’s just not enough tie! I have little agile fingers and it took me three tries at least to get it. But I did and the finished product is like an inch long and the back adjustable part of the tie is even shorter. Other than that this outfit is complete with everything, and it’s made very well!

High Qualilty

Refreshingly high quality product. The shoes are nicely made and fit well, the robe is lined, the wand is attached to a necklace for the doll to wear which is a nice detail. All the pieces fit well and are sewn nicely. Not sure where this is made but I can imagine American Girl would charge $60 for an ensemble like this.
