I was a lowly Assistant Director of an IT department when I bought this dog roller on a whim because I like 7-11 hot dogs as a guilty pleasure and I wanted to make some for lunch. After the initial skeptical comments - "What kind of idiot buys a $100 hot dog roller? Is he trying to bribe us with hot dogs? Did he have a stroke? Are the Russians behind this?" - the office quickly realized what we had was a popularity tool the likes of which the world has never seen. VPs who previously would never give me the time of day visited our office to get a hot dog. People who didn't work for the IT department actually came to our office and learned our names! One of them said hello in the hallway OVER A WEEK LATER! I myself saw a staff biologist at a grocery store and when I waved hello from 100 feet, she didn't pretend to not see me! One of my staff had to tell an administrative assistant that he couldn't install iTunes on his computer and the employee said "I understand!" We're IT people, so we are used to cleaning up messes. Cleanup requires hot water since the unit can't be disassembled, but that's standard for machines this size. Turn the heat up to 225 degrees and mop it down with a rag and the stainless steel cleans easily, even if there is baked on grease. It's so easy that not one of my employees has ever volunteered to do it because they think it's simple enough for the boss to accomplish! There is no telling what a super villain could do with this kind of power. Use it wisely if you choose to purchase it. If you do, expect to cook 18 hot dogs in 6-10 minutes, tops, and you can cycle out a lot of hot dogs in one day. Hit a big box store and you can get 100 hot dogs and 100 buns for well less than $100 and you can feed a LOT of people. Hot dog day has become so popular other departments ask to borrow the roller. If you have a reason to make lots of dogs, this is your best way to do it

I bought this for a Halloween party I was hosting. We made tons of food but wanted to have something that would be fun and different. We had looked into renting one of these but buying it and owning it for the long run ended up being the cheaper option. Party guests loved it. Had cooked dogs on the front three lines and cooking dogs on the back 3. Every so often we would rotate and restock. By the end of the night, it looked like it went through war. The next day, we turned it back on and cleaned it with a soapy rag. All the mess came off very easily and quickly. In total, we have been able to pull this out and use it three times. Can't wait for more opportunities to use it. If you are certain you will get use out of it, get it. Make sure you keep it well maintained. Don't let it sit with a mess for too long or it may become difficult to clean.

This was a hit at my kids party

My journey to this hotdog roller is a strange one. I bought a different one sight unseen from Facebook Marketplace and it ended up being a commercial grade 48 dog with a bun drawer, like the gas station kind. Way too big, heavy, wife was not happy. Sold it for a tidy profit and bought this one. Hard to convince my wife that it was a good idea, but when she saw the compact design compared to the last one, she tolerated it. When it came time for my daughter 7th birthday party, she fell in love. This baby cooked 71 dogs during a 4 hour party. Everyone commented on it and a lot of parents asked me where I got it. Cleanup is a breeze. Once cooled down, turn on the rollers with no heat and use a damp sponge. My only issue is I have no guidance on what temp to use for how long. 250 seems to be the best to hot dogs. Great product and great price.

Does not come with cover or lid. I believe there may be one available, but did not order. Have used it several times when our Sr. Center holds bingo. Does not take long for hot dogs to cook and they sell out fast. I sell the ones in front first, move back ones to front and add more to back. There are two temp controls one for front and one for back. Only gripe, to clean rollers requires that you leave on, and temp control to very low to wipe off.

Very nice roller grill machine seems built very well.

Quality machine thats worth every penny. Works great & looks good being somewhat compact. Only wished there were more roller grill foods available for consumers to purchase. Most companies only sell roller grill products (good stuff) to commercial convenience stores. Someday they’ll realize there’s more potential revenue that can generate from individual consumers.

Olde Midway Electric 18 Hot Dog 7 Roller Grill Cooker

I only used the hot dog cooker once and for the first time yesterday at a super bowl party. It is well made and appear to be of the commercial quality as stated in the ad. There were a couple of families at the party say that they will be ordering the cooker. It was received by all with WWWooowww this cooker is so cool what a great idea. It was turn it on, set the temperature, load the rollers with hot dogs and forget about it. The only thing I would suggest is before starting the cooker is to hit the roller with a shot PAM. The beauty of the cooker is the the dogs are always vs a bbq cooked dog.

Exactly what we were looking for

For a company function, we were going to rent one of these. Until I found this one on Amazon for less than what I could rent one for. It came in 2 days with Prime shipping, everything was in perfect condition. It worked great for our event - we cooked about 100 hot dogs over the course of 3 hours (we were actually able to put 3 across). Cleaning it was a little time consuming but once we got right technique down, it went faster and looks like new. Now we have a Hot dog grill for future events.

Easy to use

The machine is sturdy and seems to be made very well. It was easy to use - I set at 300 for a couple of minutes to cook and then turned down to keep them warm. This seemed to work well.

Fun

We love this for hot dogs, corn dogs, taquitos, and anything else we can get to spin. Love being able to put food on this & walkbaway for a while u til it’s done, plus it’s fun to have!
