Bought this to try on a few different high traffic areas of our home (main staircase, white shag rug and a rug beneath our bed in our master suite). My expectations were admittedly low, but for the price, it was worth a shot. Luckily, I couldn’t have been more pleasantly surprised at how effective this was with relatively little effort. Did this remove all dirt? No, but it saves hundreds of dollars in professional carpet cleaning costs I’ve normally done a couple of times a year. Highly recommend!

This is a great product, as it supplements the maker's spray cleaners. Our home is shared by 3 dogs and 10 cats -- all rescues -- and accidents do happen. But our rugs and carpets are so free of stains and odors, that guests often comment that the presence of pets is simply not noticeable.

This product has saved my carpet from 2 weiner dog! It works as advertised.

WOW! I’m impressed! This stuff actually works when I did not expect it to! I ordered the powder without the spray that I didn’t know was supposed to go with it... but it still worked great! Super gross story but my dog puked on our white long-thread Moroccan rug. We borrowed a neighbors little rug cleaning machine and it seemed the problem was solved. Until weeks later this horrid smell started looming in the living room. We couldn’t find the source for the longest until we finally flipped up the rug and discovered that the moisture from the cleaning machine spread the puke down through the rug and spread out in a 3 foot radius of DARK GREEN MOLD. I tried everything, nothing worked. On a whim I gave this stuff a try. I rubbed it in on the front and back, let it sit for an hour, and vacuumed. The patch of carpet that was once black turned out whiter than the rest of the rug! I used it on the whole thing and now it’s like a new rug. I’ve never been more excited about a random product.

I have used dry products before. I good brush is mandatory, I am using a stand up brush and the powder works into the deep carpet great. We have a white carpet in our Florida condo, we are subject to black pollen that comes off palm trees. No one can ever figure out how it gets inside, but it does. The results have been a very uniform color finish, no streaks and no color runs. Carpet looks great. Allergies are better since we cleaned as well. As it is white, he high traffic areas we pre misted. With misting and it bieng Florida, humidity is crazy, recommend you wait a good 90 minutes to dry otherwise you will clog up the vacuum cleaner. You must take your time to do this job right, work in sections and make sure it powder dry. If you do not have the time to dry correctly then do not use this product you will get frustrated.

This is the very BEST shampoo for wool rugs we have ever seen. It was first recommended to me by a Justice of the Rhode Island Supreme Court, who said it quickly and thoroughly removed berry stains from their new white wool carpet. We tried it and for the next twenty years have been using it on all our wool carpeting, and can now attest its MATCHLESS capacity to remove stains (including odious pet stains of all kinds, vomit, urine, feces, blood) and restore fiber. It's a bit time-consuming since one needs to vacuum after the powder has set, but it's well worth this small effort.

I was a little skeptical, but after reading the reviews I decided I would give both products a try. This stuff is AMAZING - the important thing to remember is you need to use the Spot & Stain Remover FIRST. On difficult stains, I typically let the Remover sit for about 10 minutes, then sprinkle on the Dry Cleaner and let that sit for another 10 to 20 minutes. I use a scrub brush and really scrub the Dry Cleaner into the carpet. I will then vacuum. The results are fantastic - I have been able to get up long time stains that have been on one of my carpets for years. The carpet looks really fresh after using the products. I will definitely purchase both products again and would highly recommend!

My carpets were stained and shampooing removed the stains but they came back. This product is easy to use and it really works. The stains disappeared and didn't return. I will say that it's $10 cheaper at Home Depot.

I purchased a bamboo silk rug from a high-end rug company and invested a lot of money. After the first episode of cat barf, I researched and learned that my beautiful rug is made of viscose that wears poorly and stains easily. I spent a lot of money to have the rug professionally cleaned off-site and was without the rug for 6 weeks, not to mention the expense. With two cats, I knew I needed a DIY cleaning method. The Capture method has worked well for me. I have now used it on 4 cat barf stains with good results. After blotting as much of the vomit from the rug as possible, I spray the mist fairly heavily on the stain, sprinkle plenty of the Capture powder using the sifter that comes with it, then use a horse hair rug brush lightly in all directions to make sure the product permeates the rug fibers. With a particularly horrible dark brown barf stain, I repeated the process twice. The second time, I also added some corn starch (not sure it was necessary), covered the area with a white cotton towel, put heavy bottles over the towel to weight it down, waited 24 hours, removed the weight and towels and vacuumed well using only suction, no baffles. Excellent result. Viscose cannot be rubbed vigorously because the fibers break down so I try to minimize rubbing/manipulation of the fibers. When dealing with viscose or other synthetic fibers, my advice is to avoid all chemicals (even water) other than the Capture mister or white vinegar. A rug expert recommended a similar cleaning method using a fine mist of white vinegar topped with corn starch. I haven't tried it but suspect it would work in a similar fashion to the Capture system.

My cat is a jerk and continually pees on rugs. I've tried EVERYTHING and this powder paired with the Capture Spot Remover liquid works MAGICALLY. I blot up the area as much as I can with paper towels, then spray the area with the spot cleaner generously. I wait about 15 minutes then cover the area with this powder, work it in gently with a brush, and leave it overnight. The next morning I vacuum everything up and 9/10 it's like nothing ever happened. YOU TOO CAN BE VICTORIOUS OVER YOUR JERK CAT!
